I like how Shepard doesn't give a damn. FemShep seemed like she shot him a small smile. I'll have to rewatch.
Was that recorded from yesterday's stream? I wanted a bigger version to add to my avatar but I've only got Fraps and that just works ingame.

The only thing though...is that he looks like he was made in the Character Creator, from the screenshots we have.
I'll get over it if Sam doesn't have a face model either, though.

To each his own, but yeah most likely the new and improved character creator at work there though.
Me, I just want a pretty guy and it's not like ME doesn't already have them aplenty, Kaidan, Jacob, Thane, (Even Garrus is kinda cute) all pretty, but we only get this. Major disappointment.

I think it's practically guaranteed that Sam will have at least a custom/scanned face model and maybe even an unique look to boot, because if Bioware is going to promote any s/s romance, either now or after release you can bet it's gonna be the lesbian one.

I certainly don't find him handsome at all, he looks rather plain to me, whereas every other romance gets at least one gorgeous option, and the facial hair is a turn off for me. Also I still wonder just how well developed he'll turn out to be in comparison to all the other Li's in ME3, particularly the squad mate ones, as that's the only comparison that matters to me.

So compared to every other kind of romance in the ME franchise he is just crumbs and that's the only kind of comparison that matters to me.

Ahh, yes the wonderful gift to continue playing a celibate straight ManShep and that different from the previous installments how exactly?
So, unless there's actually some way for ManShep to express same sex attraction in game without having to tell Cortez you're into him bioware hasn't given me anything I didn't have already.

Also I never argued, for any kind of exclusivity at all and I don't give a rats ass that Steve and Sam are s/s exclusives.
Since all Li's in Bioware games up to date have just been additional things we could do or don't to further customize our characters I have never seen the point in making them available or not solely depending on our characters gender, hence I strongly preffered DA2's all bi approach since it offered *everyone* the maximum amount of choices at very little additional cost to the developers.
As Isaac has already said, having the player character's gender as sole 'realistic' restriction on the availability romances is really rather annoying.

Yeah, makes it suck even more that he won't be available to us.
Since this is the last installment and he isn't available to us, I think I might just avail myself of the opportunities ME3 might present to kill him, just for being the biggest tease in the Galaxy.

this is a perfect description of the problem. The thing is, BW needs to decide what they want their romances to be. Trully realistic or just bonus fun content to further customize the player character. Bethesda & Lionhead made that decision and stick to it, their LIs are accessible to everyone and they're more like accessories to your character in Skyrim/Fable. If BW wants that too, then fine. But they need to be consistient. Either the PC can access all LIs without any restriction (not "all LIs without any restriction but gender/sexuality restriction is excluded from that for some dubious reason"), or they're going full realistic thus having mixed straight/bi/gay LIs AND along with that those LIs do take the PC's actions and morality into considreation.

Any DLC guy with a romance might be more likely to be bi, if only to maximize his appeal and get more DLC sales, but unless such a guy is going to be day one content, It's gonna be too little to late for me since by the time he might become available I'd have finished the game already.
Also you can bet a romance with any possible DLC guy, however pretty he might be, is never going to amount to more than a Kelly like fling at best but even more likely is that it will be strictly chaste like Samara.
Also you can forget about deep interection with any such DLC character.
So at best all a hypothetical DLC guy can really do is stand around and look pretty and as icing on the cake if you're gay with him it's also very likely no one else in the vanilla game will even realize, let alone comment on it so it won't stop all the new female ninjamances in any case.
