I have no idea why it's being assumed that being gay in ME3 takes serious effort.
Telling Cortez just seems to be a matter of not having an active romance at the time.

Sheploo doesn't look as bad now!
I'm tossing up whether to try to make a new custom one or just use the default that I've had for two games.
I'll be able to check out the character creator when the demo finally loads. It's been downloading for over six hours.

Do you think it wouldn't have been as much an issue if your Shepard could have hugged some guy who did him a favor in the game (when does that ever happen, I know) and he took it at least as well as Shepard is forced to in these sequences?SolidBeast wrote...
Hey, it's not my fault for believing she actually offered other legitimate services! It's in the advertising, damnit!
Besides, he was on guard..she practically raped him. There was nothing I could do...but watch. I... I should go.

Well I suppose now I know why my cat is afraid of the bedroom.
@Ryzaki - not forever after all. He's going to kill himself.
LMAO yes yes it did.
Poor Shep. You better give him the emo hairstyle.
No can do, going with defaultShep.
"Why don't you love me, guys?!"

I don't like anyone being all up in my face, rubbing themselves against me, male or female. Sadly, I've found that people around me consider that perfectly normal behavior. I'd at least like to be able to avoid that in my games.

I do agree that it's pretty one-sided when your Shepard is gay. And there's precious little you can do to get out of it (all the random affections, that is). And then you run to Kaidan with those pleading eyes, and he gives you nothing.
My renegade Shepard hit that, though. So she's not wrong all the time, even if she does occasionally end up assaulting gay men. :-)

Naww, I wouldn't worry too much about being "forever alone" - I'm a bit disappointed that we haven't seen a lot of evidence for Vega being S/S beyond the neutral dialogue, but the game definitely seems to be hinting that Kaidan possibly will be.
The "strong bond" mention, gender-neutral romantic dialogue, the way he was looking at Shepard in the demo...

Okay, uh, word of advice: don't ask
the writers about Sam/Steve. Patrick Weekes blocked me on Twitter for
asking to clarify something.
Reading leaked beta information doesn't strike me as an egregious crime, but then I'm not a developer.

So far, the VS only seems to comment on the ME2 romances.xAmilli0n wrote...
Hi all, just stopping by to throw in my support for s/s romance in ME3 (long time lurker). I hope it meets everyone's expectations.
I have a question for you guys. Most of the playthroughs I am intending to import into ME3 (femshep and broshep) have already romanced someone along the way (mainly the VS). I'm assuming there will be a way to tell former LIs that you've moved on, but do you think they (especially the VS) will comment on you moving on to a s/s relationship?

Just de-lurking in this thread to express my support for s/s romance i ME3. I have a dudeShep that will explore the gay option. Hopefully there will be a squad mate available since that's what I'd prefer (I have a thing about "battle couples") but if none are available, he'll go with Steve. I'm trying to avoid spoilers about details so I've been staying out of the discussions, but I'm glad to hear that he seems well written.
There's tons of things I could say about ME3 and some of the choices made by Bioware (some which have put a serious damper on my exitement), but it's all been said before so I won't repeat it here. I'm hoping that there'll still be game content that I can be pleasantly surprised with once I play the actual game. Hopefully, s/s content will be one of those things.

I already said I don't like people being all up in my face, male or female. It's not just a casual hug, the whole thing is set up as if my character is supposed to accept and enjoy the flirting. See, I have no issues with hugging Tali, for example. It's an entirely different thing. It's not like I'm going "oh noooo, a female touched me, brb gotta run to decontamination!"
On to Dragon Age, as an example. I liked being given the option to flirt with that guard in DAO and with the noble in DA2. But if the scene was set up so I had to, and if that guard was all over me I would have thought "What the hell? What if I don't want to do that?" and my feelings would probably have been similar on the matter. But the additional thing that adds to my dislike for the Asari flirting is the fact that BioWare apparently thinks we all adore the Asari. "Please, it's an Asari. Of course you have no problems with her rubbing her blue azure against you." If there was a male race that was "so hot no one can resist them", I'd have felt the same way. The more something is forced on me, the more I will dislike it. I am supposed to decide if I like something or not. I don't like having it decided for me.
And finally, I'm not a touchy-feely person IRL and I'm not a big fan of hugs. Sadly, the people I meet are complete opposites and hanging around my neck or jumping on me, male or female, is incredibly fun. Obviously, the devs are those kinds of people.

I'm guessing no one's gone through the effort.Blacklash93 wrote...
Any confirmation that the TLK files were cut from the demo? I really expected them by now.
