Yeah,of course he can be bisexual since the events of mass effect 1. And I'd be really glad to see that he is. But he knows shepard for a very long time. wouldn't you be surprised to find out that the person you thought to know is bisexual? I think it would make more sense to give both of them the option to express their surprise, especially if shepard is bisexual or gay as well.

Not to delve into it, but life has shown me time and time again that I do not truly know anyone... myself included.
So I'm not easily surprised.
In any case, I think "I can't bury what I feel for you anymore, and I don't want to." is an appropriate response, no matter the gender.

yes, that's what I mean...It doesn't have to come up...but the longer it's not being spoken the more surprised would I be if the person mentiones it finally.

Oh ya, it's not like it would be a seemless transition or anything, but it doesn't defy any plausiblity unless you want it to.

Oh, and you think I appreciate being told what I said? If you say I was telling you that "my" society was better than "yours", you are doing the exact same thing you accuse me of doing to you. So please stop acting all high and offended. Not only that, but I was talking about society and general, not from anyone's viewpoint. Where are you getting this "You are talking about MY society from YOUR society's viewpoint." Please tell me what makes you think I am taking punches at "your" society? Sheesh. I was saying from a neutral standpoint that societies exist that don't encourage people to have sex as much and as young as they can. Stop trying to get offended so easily.

And once again, all that data you're giving out now, NOT PRESENT in your simplistic argument that a 30 year old certainly will have had sex already.

I'm done with that. If you want to continue being offended and feeling like I'm insulting you, you go right on ahead. It was not meant as an insult and taking it as such as just childish.

I interpreted that to mean "Am I a freak because I want to have sex WITH AN ALIEN?" And incidentally, the answer is yes.

she was worried because morinth was girl like her. that's why she thought to be a freak...not because morinth was an alien.

That line was just bad. :?

Screw this I'm not going to waste the time and energy.
@ReveurIngenu
I apologize for putting words in your mouth. If you'd do the same (I have not once said Shepard would have certainly lost his virginity by 30) so we can put this behind us great.

If you can prove to me more than 20% of people lose their virginity by the age of 30 please do. The stats I was working with said roughly 10 - 15% of people lost their virginity after mid twenties. This is worldwide and not exclusive to my country

While I appreciate the call for accurate statistics, I'm not sure how this would help, unless we can give the percentage of people who lose their virginity before 30 in a fictional universe set in a distant future.

Having that option with Kaidan would make me happy and I think it's justified after how he has acted around Shepard (and if the demo is any indication continues to act around Shep) in the past, and if he still rejects ManShep after that, then well so be, at least the whole awkward situation would be resolved.

Then again it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Alliance military still operated on some sort of principle of don't ask don't tell.

While I understand Finis point, I think
devs see ME games as a movie. From characters model based upon real
life actors to forced cinematics. So there ain't any gay Action Sci-fi
Movie stars. From Jamed Bond to Luke Skywalker to Star Trek franchise.

You are probably right there, Asperius but it would also mean that they have not really abandoned predefined ManShep in any meaningful way and he's still less free to act then FemShep.

But he reacts quite strongly in ME1 when FemSheps seems to favour Liara.

Happens in ME1, therefore it is irrelevant. We're talking about ME3 here.

But okay let's reverse this then do Liara, Tali or Miranda react to Kaidan in any way? Since that would at least indicate you could move on from them to him.

Haven't read anything about those three, since I wasn't interested. But I'd imagine not, or else we'd have more concrete evidence that Kaidan is bisexual. As it is, right now, I do not believe he is. Moreover since there he seems to initiate the romance by expressing interest in Shepard first, and we've learned from Anders that that is a big no-no.

See,
I don't believe in this in real life and not in games. There is no
reason why someone wouldn't suddenly fall in love with the same gender.
In fact, there is no reason to think he wasn't bisexual the entire time,
just never felt the need to bring it up. He could just say "I have
feelings for you", without adding "even though we're both men" - I mean,
no ****, Sherlock.

I'm pretty sure gay and bisexual men
carry around cards that they hand out when they first meet anyone,
declaring their sexuality. I know if one of my friends told me they were
gay, I'd laugh and say "You can't be, you never brought it up before
now."

I can't tell if you're quoting me because you're agreeing with me or because you interpreted my post wrong.

Some things might be likelier than others, especially with the demo, but everything is still uncertain before the release.

Kaidan doesn't react strongly to female Shepard being with Liara. At worst he treats it delicately (which may be an indication that homosexuality is still a sensitive issue, but meh)

But okay let's reverse this then do Liara, Tali or Miranda react to Kaidan in any way? Since that would at least indicate you could move on from them to him.

Tali acknowledges:
1. Liara
2. Ashley
3. Cortez

That's all.
Hence there's probably nothing to more to be learned from the leak script. Either they added homosexual romances with Kaidan and Vega, or it's not in the game period.

So far as the animations go...they also used the same sweaty orange light animation for male Shepard in ME1, and that really didn't amount to anything.

For the most part, I imagine they design the game with this priority
1. Ashley.
2. Kaidan with female Shepard.
3. Copy paste animations from 1 & 2 for male Shepard and Kaidan.

The only person who mentions anything about Shep moving on to any particular ME3 new LI is Tali, and it happens in the same dialogue that indicates you can start a new romance with Tali. The point is, that dialogue is weird and may very well be old/outdated/cut. No other ME3 LI comments on any other ME3 LI. They comment on ME2 cheating, Cortez comments on mShep having a female LI from ME1/ME2, but no one comments on other current ME3 LIs. There's no dialogues for Liara where she mentions "Ohh it's fine if you move on with this and that". There's no dialogue in which Vega is jealous if Shep flirts with him and Samantha at the same time. Tali's dialogue is the exception from that rule. And like I said, it's the same dialogue that indicates she is available for new romance. And it's the only thing that indicates that. She's never mentioned in "ME3 LI" lists (a dialogue with Kelly lists all main ME3 LIs for example, Tali's there only for old romance). So I'm having doubts about that entire Tali dialogue.

Okay but at least having an option to mention something about the mixed signals to Kaidan would resolve the situation for ManSheps in any event, even if the only possible outcome is rejection.
Bioware cannot be that oblivious to the message Kaidan sends to MShep, intentional or not, in the games.
It would take at most a few extra lines of dialogue and I refuse to believe that two or three extra lines of dialogue are the straw that breaks the camel's back, resource wise, especially since they always seem to have copious amounts of left over dialogue they do not include in the games in any event.
