Oooh I see.
About Sbarge's quote. I dunno. They might've give him a nice reprimand for letting it slip before so he only mentions FemShep now.

I was hopeful when I started reading that and then...
I am so disappointed in myself.

They don't have the annoying middle needless drama stage.

At least you'll be able to bromance Kaidan.
No thanks, Straight Kaidan just don't exists in my ME3 playthroughs.
I didn't fully trust bioware, so I edited my main Shepard's import save some time ago, to have Ash alive and will do that with every single one. At least I'll get the pleasure of killing her again in ME3, that's something

I feel pretty much the same, even though we have Steve. But this was the last opportumity we had to romance him, a character we knew and loved (at least most of us). And what p*sses me off is that straights had their Tali's and Garrus' love in spite of the lore. In fact I'm starting to feel like punching some straight male whiner's face now rather than being punched.SolidBeast wrote...

We've already established that the number of players playing as female Shepard are far fewer than those playing male Shepards to warrant so many more lesbian options than gay options. If both Vega and Kaidan end up being straight, is there anyone else (a male fling à la Kelly or this reporter) that could possibly be in the game? If not, it really is a load of crap.
How can one Bioware gaming team (Dragon Age) be so good at treating equally these relationships but the other team (ME) reserve such a clearly preferential treatment to one type of relationship while nearly ignoring the other? How vocal do you think people will be if indeed Cortez is the only male option for male Shepard? And do you think it could encourage Bioware to release DLC to rebalance the number of possible relationships or do you think that will be that?

In that case, I wish you were here right now.
Well I hope the "ew, you won't get my Kaidan" crowd is gloating right now.

I'm going to see the glass half-full. So I'm going to ditto on Ryzaki. Also consider how much the VAs actually know about the context of what they are reading and what exactly is going where.Ryzaki wrote...

I'll be with you in spirit if nothing else.
Psh. Let them gloat.
@MA: That and his words were remarkably gender neutral save that one FemShep line.

oh nooo... I really hoped he was an option. well, if he isn't one, then ashley isn't available either. :-( so all what we'll get is steve (and samantha and diana and kelly and Liara for females), but I wanted a squaddi. *cries*
fixed:blush:.
@ReveurIngenu: I don't think they added it just to add more f/f, but it would certainly look like that. I mean, new players who don't even know who Kaidan is and the ones who previously rejected him, will have the chance to romance him as f!shep, yet players who played the entire series in celibate waiting for him won't. Plus he was always the most popular choice for m/m LI, even most of the straight males thought so.

So all we can conclude from the interview is that he chose to talk about his interactions with Maleshep.
As others had said, I'm sure if there was s/s with Kaiden he would have been told in the strongest of terms to keep it quiet.
The pattern of speech in that interview, in my opinion, clearly suggests not talking about that subject. So in this sense, given the way he acts towards maleshep in the demo and that he said nothing about maleshep, I'd say that no news is good (or at least hopeful) news.
Personally I am hoping like hell I can romance Ashley with Femshep

If he shares animations with Ashley and Manshep shares them with FemShep again, you know, that's going to be unbearable, at least Vega seems properly designed for it.
I think I'm gonna change the ManSheps, I actually care to import to FemSheps and just forget about it, since it seems that ManShep will still be presented like crap (aka a flirtatious ****) in this game.
Also hope they get to kill Kaidan in a variety of gruesome ways (except for Allison of course, but then again she's a remorseless killer who gladly and gleefully sacrificed an entire colony of Batarians in Arrival, after doing the same at Torfan and that's the kind of girl Kaidan will, totally and realistically keep falling for).

Wasn't that Steve sitting in the
background at a computer when she was speaking both before and after
Sheard enters the conference room or whatever it is? It sure looked
like him.
If it was a generic Alliance soldier all that illustrates is how truly generic they've kept the only m/m option.

If we like it, we buy it. If we don't like it, we show them with horrible sales figures and they go back to the drawing board.
Yeah, well gonna see how that turns out for DA3. That'll be the first litmus test on how Bioware, under EA guidance, will deal with disappointing sales figures.
My guess is the odds are about 50/50 on them actually adressing the concerns everyone raised about it versus blaming it on some other things like too much dialogue and not enough action or perhaps even the all bi Li's.

Noting that the femShep playthrough
options are dynamic basically means that the manShep ones aren't. And
that can mean only one thing.
Sadly true.
