Noting that the femShep playthrough options are dynamic basically means that the manShep ones aren't. And that can mean only one thing.

As someone who've read the leaked script his non romantic path is plenty dynamic. (You can be BFFs, professional, SCREW YOU I HATE YOU!) and this applies for both Sheps.

So...I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

@Aurellia: He talks about shepard's relationship with Kaidan in general and then says: In addition to that, f!shep's options with him, are pretty dynamic. Don't you worry, so far Ash would be the only one straight romancable female LI, so it's likely they make her bi.

Maybe, I haven't read beyond what's on that blog. But being able to romance him certainly gives femShep a dynamic that manShep doesn't get.

No it means that they are dynamic.  He gives no indication of how 'dynamic' the manShep ones are.  For example the female shepard interactions may be dynamic because they have more romantic history and drama in ME1/ME2 where as maleShep would be a simpler story of unfulfilled love.

If he was able to talk about it he could say something like the interaction with manShep is potentially very surprising:)

My point is we don't really know anything other than what he said.  We should not read too much or too little between the lines.

I think Kaidan in Mass Effect 1 had some humor, and I believe that there's some more of that in Mass Effect 3. But, mostly, the difference between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 is, you'll hear a lot more of him. In addition to that, the play-through options with the FemShep character are pretty dynamic.

Based on this we know the following:

- he will tell more jokes
- he will talk more
- the play through options with FemShep are prettty dynamic
- he says nothing about the options with MaleShep

The interesting question is why did he say nothing about MaleShep?  If they were really not doing anything s/s it seems like this would be an ideal opportunity to insert some spin to try to soften the landing when the news hits March 6, especially given that he was reported by 2 independent sources to have indicated that there was s/s Kaiden last June.  So given that there was no double talk what-so-ever about MaleShep.  I say no news is good news.

So let's wait and see.  I remain hopeful.

So anything good in store for male Shep and his friendship with Kaidan? He said, I get that people are into the romance, but he was my bro, and what’s the relationship like? Have they patched things up? Are they friends? Are they rivals? Is it player directed at all?

Some of that I can say, some of that I can’t say. But, straight up, obviously that relationship — that male relationship – is also very strong. The thing about Kaidan seems to be that he is a very loyal and devoted guy, and obviously the kind of guy who’ll be there when you need him. He’s not the kind of guy who’ll stab you in the back. He has been very much friends with male Shepard and remains so. Obviously, there are choices in this game, as there are in life. So you’ll get to take some various directions, as you wish, but the relationship remains strong, for sure, between male Shepard and Kaidan.

Take this how you will.

At least you'll be able to bromance Kaidan.

No thanks, Straight Kaidan just don't exists in my ME3 playthroughs.
I didn't fully trust bioware, so I edited my main Shepard's import save some time ago, to have Ash alive and will do that with every single one. At least I'll get the pleasure of killing her again in ME3, that's something .

Whatever floats your boat.
I found Kaidan attractive in ME1. But I'm perfectly fine with just friendship paths. I felt it was rather lacking in ME1, so I'm intrigued by the potential in ME3.

This gives even more hope:)  This wording to me prepares the bro-mancers for the possibility that it could move from bro-mance to ro-mance.

Sort of.
There's something very spoilery in ME3 regarding Kaidan and male Shepard's "relationship."
And it has nothing to do with romance.

I don't want to know but I hope is isn't something along the lines of

Darth Vader said...
*DEEP BREETHING*

Especially for... sister. So, you have a twin sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her, too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me...

If that happens I may throw my controller at the screen:)

Honestly though that applies for both Sheps. Male or female. :?

Enough with the spoilers, folks.

To be truthful, I think I still did have some expectation that there would be more than a single non-squad romance option. Although I suppose it's little risk to just have a token nod to characters who can't get involved with any of the "real" romances.

Looks like chaste Shepard is moving on to the finish line! Vaya con Dios, gay Shepard.

Nonsense. I know a certain website where that happens all the time. It's technically illegal in council space, though.

For what it's worth, it's possible they'll be more inclusive in future Mass Effect games now.
