Wow, thanks for that. Reminded me I needed to fix Youtube. Couldn't access it since yesterday.
Anyway, I don't think his slave mentality excuses him. For all Hawke knows, he could still let his issues overcome him and attack. His blatant hatred for every mage out there is also a concern (to a Hawke that's just getting to know him). My point is, they are both dangerous.
You don't. I do. And he attacked my Hawke physically a grand total of once and that was only after my Hawke touched him from behind and it was more of a sexy wall slam that lead to some very...*ahem* yeah. Otherwise the most threatening thing he ever did was bite my Hawke's head off verbally.
Never said Fenris wasn't dangerous. I'd just rather be next to him then to Anders who would be perfectly okay with me but have the spirit in his head trying to kill me. No thanks. Fenris isn't the one who skewered an innocent girl that he had come there to save because she called him a demon if Hawke didn't talk him out of it because he couldn't control himself not to do it otherwise.
Plus... 6 years. Walking around with a bloodmage, a normal apostate and an abomination in a bloodmage infested city. If Fenris hasn't completely snapped by then (and the few times he does snap it's always verbally or towards someone who wronged him) my Hawke's not seeing it as likely. Heck Fenris blatantly refuses to even snitch on them despite his immense bias.
He doesn't like mages, and he certainly doesn't want to see them free from the circle but I do not see him as wanting them all killed either. The way he treats Bethany and Hawke makes that clear to me.
We don't know. And reasons are important as well. Fenris killed a bunch of warriors because he was traumatized. Anders killed a bunch of chantry ****es because a revolution was needed. They both had reasons that made sense, but also couldn't be excused.
And well, Anders was fighting for a just cause. That's something I can always appreciate. More than that.
True enough but that Chantry was plenty large. As for reasons well...I take Anders revolution cause with a grain of salt. I can also excuse Fenris' murder far more than Anders (which was premediated). So to me they're not the same at all.
So we do differ on something. Agree to disagree?
