I can't believe vega won't be a LI, for one reason : He is oversexualised.

Otherwise, Jacob was a failure in M2, and they know it. Vega could be another attempt with a human.

And one of my femshep alone will be upset if she hasn't anything in M3. Oo ( Yeah, It remains Kaidan as Li, but I have got Ashley in my playthrought and not Kaidan. )

I'm pretty confident that James Vega will be a bisexual romance option. There's no evidence that he isn't.

Except that guy who already has a build of the game. Although I'm starting to doubt his info. Still, there's no evidence that he is. All we've got is some flirting from the leaked script, and that's with women.

Yeah there's no proof Vega's an LI let alone a bi LI.

Still if BW pulled a douche move like this I'd be pissed. Dude Shep does not need that many new options if they're gonna skimp out on giving FemShep and Gay Shep less options.

My reasoning for not believing Vega was a romance option at all since the script leak has to do with his career aspirations, and regs. I also can see Vega being a "bridge" character into a new Shepard-less Mass Effect game. People can't complain that their LI has apparently abandoned them if he never was a romance option.

I guess I'm just remembering how things went with Varric in DA2.

It is possible however. In DA2, Aveline and Sebastian, that was just flirt and that's it. Maybe the mass effect team just thought it was a good idea and didn't think about the issues it would bring lol.

His nickname for male Shepard doesn't matter.
If you're getting the idea that James flirts with male Shepard or vice versa, you should read the actual script. The popular blog on livejournal is misleading because it puts together lines that are actually separate.

Flirtation =/= romance, too.

That was only in the TEST file which was an older version of the script. The s/s romance could've been added later.

Sort of.
There are lines that indicate a new Tali romance. And what's done to Tali could very well be done to Garrus. You know, Team Dextro, ME2 carry over squad mates, and they're also useful for equalness.

I haven't found any lines for Garrus specifically, but considering how long it took for someone to find the Tali new romance lines, it's possible that we just haven't found them yet.

Considering the SA guy says that Vega brushes off flirtation:
If Vega is a romance option, that likely means he isn't for male Shepard.

Because if he's going to be brushing off flirtation, it's going to be male Shepard. Because Vega is very much a woman lover according to the script.

They may have just scrapped his romance - which makes sense considering that there's barely any romance content in the script to begin with.

Wouldn't be the first thing he's wrong about. He sure in hell wasn't right about multiplayer being necessary for the best ending.
