It means you can do the main plotline without him. His expertise isn't needed to do.. the thing... with the other thing...

Mmm. Sounds dirty. ;)

And this guy - I don't particuliarly trust him. Why is spilling these secrets? Who is he? Where did he get them? Did he really pursue every option in the game?

I don't really know - I only looked at the thread for about an hour then.

But it looks like SAFG has been posting stuff in that thread since at least January, with an old build of the game.

They mentioned they played through it at least once, and saw all the romance scenes (they said they weren't comfortable being in a room with anybody else, since the scenes were so awkward).

Oh, and Shepard's dancing with Cortez is apparently awful.

SAFG's overall impression was that ME3 was a great game, even though they thought people would whine about certain parts of the script, and some of the romances (Tali's especially).

"Old build", huh? THERE IS STILL HOPE.

or he could have seen Ash s/s romance and assume that Kaidan would be as well.

Yeah but if it's the other way - Ashley bi and Kaidan straight, then that wouldn't fix the LesShep - straight FemShep imbalance like straight Ashley would (or straight Diana)

do they even care about balance anymore?  and Ash/Kaidan being mirrors of each other in terms of "alliance soldier that served with Shepard, helped them defeat Saren and sovereign, survived virmire, bonded, had a setback on Horion, now has trust issues, and is a trilogy spanning romance", as well as the whole "lesbians are hot" thing suggests that if one is bi, so will be the other.

Romances have always been unbalanced in favor of lesbian player but usually only by a single character - Juhani, Liara and Kelly - two if you can really count Samara (which I don't). But this time...

LesbianShep has her pick of Ashley, Traynor, Liara, Allers and then the option of cementing the relationship with Kelly. At lowest, FemShep has three interests while straightFemShep has...none? NO SENSE. Disregarding GayManShep for a second here...this in of itself would turn heads.

they are banking on femsheps keeping Kaidan alive?

and since DLC character seems to be someone else, and we do have 3 squadmates that are still classified.....  (we only know 2 of them, I believe)

edited

Urhm that's the context I was debating it (Straight FemShep
& Lesbian FemShep balance context), not whether I like Ash/Kaidan
being similar or not

I understand.  and like MACharlie said - it was never balanced that way in ME world.

ugh, now it feels like the game has been ruined for me before I've even played it.

The more I stalk this thread for hope the worse things are becomming :pinched: I guess I'll quit while I'm ahead... or ten miles behind.

After reading all the convoluted LI possibilities on the last couple of pages, I am becoming even more of a believer that the DA2 "all bi" LIs is the way to go.

...then why isn't with the rest of them?

Plus there's absolutely zero hint for anyone other than Spoiler A and Spoiler B.

actualy, Garrus is not there either and if we're going by the whole "not all squadmates are full time"  coupled with the fact that both Tali and Garrus were revealed?

I doubt its Tali. becasue, then where's Garrus's spot and why would either one of them be classified?

I believe she is referring to the Mass Effect interactive story page on the main site where there are three classified profiles.

Tali was rediculously easy to get killed in ME2, even if you didn't want her to die. So half my Shepards will  have a "classified" tombstone, I guess.

Not necessarily. It could just be an extra box so it looks neat (I believe something of the sort happened for DA2.)

But it could be an extra squaddie.

 that's just mean.

Seriously though is there anything suggesting another squadmate? They'd have to start designing him/her pretty early on (hell we found Zaeed and Kasumi files in the vanilla version of ME2).

Amazon's release day delivery typically ends up being cheaper then regular delievery...just thought I'd mention that.

I'll take my money now, Amazon, for that plug.

Maybe the "classified" squadmate is just a planned future DLC character like Zaeed or Kasumi.

Oops, my screen finally updated. Ninja'd, I guess.

He's not at all in the script though. Unless he's going to be a bland mute in game they'd need to have him interacting (and Shep interacting with him) in the ME3 script. You can't just pull out character development and interaction from thin air. That stuff takes time to write and refine.

(and with how the first draft of the ME3 script looked BW needs all the time refining they can get.)

There's a DLC reference in the really old leaked files in November.

I remember thinking it looked really weird at the time.

Something about having another dialogue option in salarian negotiations if you had DLC.

@ Charlie - well I have free delivery, so any upgrade to that book shipped is going to cost me more :P (unlike their release day game delivery that's 99c, prima guide doesn't seem to be subject to the same promotion, damn it. and I cannot combine orders either (already tried) )

@ Ryz - the leak we have is very old build. they could have added him since then. i may also be completely off on that. its just a thought, as to what could it be, other then just empty square for balance.

Salarians? That does sound odd. What does the dude from the IOS game specialize in?

@jeweled: True enough I just doubt they'd write a character so late in development. (and have him ready in time for release)

Plus the title of the character DLC goes extremely well with Spoiler P. [That and EA blurting it out.]
