Vega isn't romance-able by either Gender fully.
However you can flirt and get close (a la Samara in 2), but he's the type of guy to "Focus on the mission instead of fraternization -- as much as it pains him to say so."

So you would say he's kinda the Samara of ME3 right? He likes Shep but because of still denies romance right? Is this flirting available only for FemShep or for both (like it was with Samara)?

Kaidan is S/S romance-able.
But other than the whole initial "I'm a man and you're a man" tentpole, the rest of the dialogue is gender ambiguous, which I feel takes away from the overall quality of the romance.

OMG!!!! :DDDDD Doesn't matter if it's neutral later on! The fact that their male gender is ackowledged at the beginning is absolutely enough for me! :D:D:D

It's available for both genders.
The gay options are VERY clear by the slugline you have to choose from on the wheel.
This is probably to avoid accidental gay romance initiations.

I'm playing my way through the "From Ashes" DLC at the moment.
But I'll try to answer any S/S questions you have.

How gender specific are the Steve and Samantha romances? I know they're S/S only, but how much dialog takes note of the genders involved?

:o
So, wait, this is the second source to confirm this? You've got a build, too, huh?
Also, I'm totally cool with just the initial acknowledgment of gender. God I hope this is true.

No surprise here, especially after Anders whining. Thx for confirming! :)

What's your source on that info:O?  As for gender ambiguous language, how many couples, regardless of orientation, constantly bring up gender when talking to their loved ones?  I mean really?  Maybe in the initial flirtation phase, you'll get, "yeah, I like women like you."  And after that, it usually boils down in speech to "I like you."

I haven't done Samantha yet.
But from what I've seen with Cortez, it is very gender specific. Cortez suffers from Dead Boyfriend syndrome.
Like Carth had dead girlfriend syndrome in KOTOR. :P

Both Ashley and Kaidan are available for s/s, right? I wonder if there is any gender specific dialogue in Ash's s/s-romance?

From what Klace is saying, it never comes up again after the initial part.
I'd just like some variation between the male and female player characters romancing these "bisexual" characters.
So far as couples go, I would imagine that many (not all) bisexuals wouldn't treat a male or female partner exactly the same.

I'm going to hang up a giant "mission accomplished" banner.

Not sure where, but somewhere.

Also, I managed to get through the entire day with no MP.

Okay, that's a lie, but I only did like 3 matches or so. ...I need to get a job, ASAP.

Only 3 games? I prescribe you play some MP stat!

I don't care if the lines are gender neutral, "I love you" always has been. Sure it'd be nice for Kaidan to say John but that wasn't going to happen anyway.

Edit: Maybe I wasn't just seeing things then.

Check Diana as well since her voice actress (Jessica Chobot) said she's available for both genders. Also, could you see if Kelly's available for new romance in ME3 if you have NOT romanced her in ME2?
