Well part of me still wants to deny it, but I have to admit the evidence is getting pretty strong. Perhaps Vega won't be mine. Well, perhaps you can't have everything...and it does at least sound like we are definately getting Alenko. If they address Horizon and do so well then maybe it won't be so bad. Then again even if I can flirt with Vega but don't get a sex scene that is better than I got with Alistair.

Oh and go away bloodbroker, pinkwhatever, and jewledidontcare, I'm not in the mood.

Don't misunderstand me, I think it's great having Kaidan and Steve as m/m options... But I really wanted Vega for my man. I don't really care for Kaidan and don't think Steve will captivate me like Vega has.

What a wasted opportunity.

From what I've read, he brushes off the flirting and says he's too focussed on the mission.

So my take there was an emotional closeness with fShep and Vega. As he is now kinda S/S LI probably that script is evolved. I am very interested in seeing that romancelike relationship of Vega and Shepard but don't want to spoil it after this hour, need to live it in game.

@Asperius I agree, so I think this will be my final post and hopefully last time on BSN till me 3 is in my hot little hands. It's been fun s/sers but as a few non romance spoilers have already been revealed to me (I.e. prothian) I think I am done here. See you at their next launch. There's a point where Kelly (if she's alive) asks about Shepard's romance status. 

Vega was one of the possible replies (along with the ME2 LIs, Liara, the VS, Steve, Sam, or Kelly herself).

It just seems like at some point he was intended to be a romance for Shepard of some sort.

I kinda dissmissed November leak script. Like they said, Bioware did some serious turns on that script.

Now I'm planning my main Shep's dramatic end. Hopefully it will involve an impossible love and sacrifice. Funny my main Warden also longed for Alistair and sacrificed himself at the end (completed ritual on all other runs). Happy endings are cheesy... I want tears.

You know the person that leaked the info that Anders was bi in DA2?  It's the same bloody person telling us now! 

As for ending I hope we can choose from a selection. Dark and requiring ultimate sacrifices to fluffly rainbow bunny hug stuff....well relatively for the setting and story!

 I'm fairly gutted right now about Vega not being available as a LI 

I did an entire playthrough to create a single romance-free FemShep just for Vega. And now it seems that playthrough was pointless  I know it's bone-headed but I'm going to hold out hope that somehow he is available until the game comes out in full. I guess if push comes to shove that FemShep can get with Kaidan.

Anyway, great news about VS s/s - I'm really happy for you guys

Long time lurker here. First of all, thank you Klace for the long awaited confirmation of VS eligibility for S/S romancing (my condolences to the Vega fans ). I'm greatly pleased that my Shepard will be forever alone no longer and that there will be more than a single option for him. Although, Cortez has a lot to compete with, going up against a well established (and rather dreamy ) character like Kaidan but I'm eager to explore both of their dialogues.

Moving on, I was unable to resist peeking at Klace's transcription of Kaidain's initiation dialogue. It sounds delightfully tongue in cheek on the writer's part, given the repeated affirmations that Shep is indeed okay with man on man loving and the bit about contradictions. One thing I'm not sure I like though is Shep's response to the Virmire question. In my playthroughs of ME1, I was always inclined to choose Kaidan but for me it was because I rationalized it to where he was the logical choice: He's the superior officer, and valuable biotic; Going back to rescue him also ensures the security of the bomb (the task I always assign him, as I think him more suited to that role and vice versa for Ash). So to be forced to answer that it was out of feelings for Kaidan... I mean, to be honest, a large factor in my preference towards saving Kaidan was hope that he would be a LI for my male Shep down the line. But that was my real life thought process and I dislike that in-game, rp man Shep is forced to admit to personal feelings swaying his judgement as a commanding officer.

But that's just my niggling little issue with that line. With that wall of text out of the way, back to /party!

It's strange to me that Vega is a non LI, but oh well. I think it was mentioned somewhere in the thread but I'd like to be certain about one thing. A romance with one character locks out other romances ala Anders correct?

-Kaiden goes both ways (adorable dialogue posted to boot)
-Ashley too
-Sam and Steve are S/S only (a first!)
-Vega is not a LI for anyone (though you can flirt with him)

The source being Klace who also brought us the good news about the all-bi LI's in DA2.  So this is a known good source.

Haha...reading that Kaidan scene, I do think it's kinda hammy and awkward...but maybe that's the point, because for some reason it totally fits Kaidan, if you know what I mean.  Him totally overthinking things and using big thesaurus.com words to mask his nervousness ("desire a reciprocation?" Seriously, Alenko?) while Shepard responds with brisk confidence...it's very them. Which is nice.

Samantha is the Normandy's communications specialist (and an exclusive f/f option for femShep). Steve is the shuttle pilot and exclusive m/m option for maleShep.

hehe, yeah, it feels awkward in the Kaidan Alenko makes sure Shepard likes him and isn't just drunk or high on adrenaline or joking or something

I want a pink heart interrupt in the middle of the screen, clicking it will just make Shepard kiss Alenko or something to shut him up and YES, KAIDAN I WANT YOU AND BEING A MAN WON'T CHANGE THAT!

also, and interrupt option to keep him there ...
Kaidan's 'I should go' is just ... WTF no you don't! I didn't wait years for this just so you can leave >_<
