Would you like to define what you mean by "normal"? You mean quantitative normal? Why, sure, these people belong to the minority. Also belonging to the minority: lefthanded people, gingers, blondes, blue-eyes people... are they "not normal" as well?
Normal in a biological context means functioning or made as intended. Intersex people, like siamese twins, are mistakes of nature....much like club foot, cleft palates etc...
Gays are similar in this respect also, in the sense that their abnormal sexuality was caused by a birth defect; ie imbalanced hormone exposure in the womb.
There is a great deal of evidence in support of this theory, as it's biologically known that sex hormones such as testosterone, estradiol etc are primarily responsible for the development of our sexual characteristics, both physical and psychological.
This theory explains why homosexuality occurs more often in men than in women (more than 2:1), and why there is also a degree of heritability, as hormonal production is influenced by genes.
It's quite possible that one day, Science will have found a way to screen for homosexual development in fetuses and correct it by adjusting the hormonal balance.
Partly true: not all sexual pleasure is rooted on reproduction. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with female sexuality, for example.
I've read that when a woman has an orgasm, her uterus contracts which helps to suck up any sperm in her vaginal canal..
And even if it was, I think we humans have done a bit too well with populating this planet, so reproduction isn't really a problem to our species.
I agree, but the truth still holds that sex is primarily intended for reproduction.
