I was under the impression that ME2 romances could not be started in ME3.

I can't imagine trying to start a new one with Jacob or Miranda if they're not going to be around a lot. Also, no mention of Thane. That's ominous for Thane romancers.

Actually it is. Especially if you can only flirt with Vega to get said romance. Just because someone doesn't have a sex scene doesn't make them a non-romance. Samara turns Shep down. (In another life, and I know my desires) Vega it seems only rejects the sex (after this mission is over...) (since hey do seem to have a dialogue where they admit their feelings for each other).

So yeah Klace just made that up on his own. SA guy simply said Vega wants to focus on the mission. Which reads more like a Samara like rejection than a Sebastian like romance.

In which case Vega's more like Seb than Samara anyway.

I asked him about it and he said the guide didn't say exactly if they were available for new romance. The guide probably just put them on the romance section and called it a day.

I do hope it doesn't end up being as facepalm worthy as DA2's guide.

Does anyone think that the falsified dialogue from Klace might have some substance? I have a feeling it might actually turn up. I could be wrong, of course, it's just a strange feeling.

That sounds about right. I like to laugh at some of the misinformation that are in these guides.

Damn. Well here's to hoping that Vega's romance is just as good as the others but only missing the sex scene.

No he is exactly like Sebastian, who equally was not free (unless you preordered really early).
Both are extra characters with ties to the main story, come with their own missions and cost the same amount of money. Also Prothy was unintentionally announced several months back when the CE became available for preorder, so he has been planned for quite some time.

Ah right. Forgot I didn't get Seb when I bought the ps3 version later and had to buy him(dunno why, damn chantry beep...) I just figured he was written along side everyone else, can't remember if they mentioned when they actually worked on him. With prothean guy though they came out and said they only started in January. Would be dicey getting that into a guide to be mass produced in 2 months. *shrug* I want to believe but as with every damn game release I turn into some grumpy skeptic.

I swear however if I go to download him and it's a 100kb file just to unlock it I'll flip a ****. God damn liars they would be.

Maybe we'll get some post-mission Vega DLC where the romance can be completed. That would be nice. But until that happens, Kaidan will be mineeee.

There is recorded dialog for Prothy in the demo, and written lines in the old leak. He was planned, written and recorded around the same time as the rest of the crew.
They might have waited with creating his character model until the main game was finished, but he was planned a long time ago.
There is no way that he would not make it into the guide if he is available from day one.


Edit: Not to mention that according that list it would be possible for a straight femshep to end up without a romance option, which is another reason to be suspicious. I know that femshep gets treated worse but come on every new LI is either female or gay ? Do you really believe that BioWare would do that ?

I see. Skepticism it is then! :alien:Takin that list with a grain of salt till there's a SS to go with it. If anyone knows anyone who works for like GameStop harrass them to look at the guide when they receive them!

BioWare needs new PR people. I swear they lie way too damn much, and it always gets out and makes them look dumb...
