There is recorded dialog for Prothy in the demo, and written lines in the old leak. He was planned, written and recorded around the same time as the rest of the crew.
They might have waited with creating his character model until the main game was finished, but he was planned a long time ago.
There is no way that he would not make it into the guide if he is available from day one.

Considering Sebastian was in the DA2 guide on day one, this is a very good point.

I'm more concerned about the rating. It's BBFC 15, I mean, come on!

Or they ****ed up when they made the video, since the game has gore, dying children, and more...
Or worse....

It's MA though in North America. Europe is far more liberal than us prudish North Americans. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

like those images we got of Kaidan and Ashley at some point, where only people with CSI*-like tech skills could un-wobbly the images enough to partly decipher some of the text etc.

as far as Prothy goes I entertained the odd though on tumblr that you can innitiate romance with him regardless of Shepard's sex by handing over the Prothean artifact recovered during Firewalker ... inspired by another tumblr mentioning that it's actually a stash of Prothean porn ... I mean why does every artifact  have to be some super important device?
- stealing the tome in DA2 would have made more sense for Isabela if it really was the Qunari Kama Sutra -


anyway, off to continue my "hopefully soon not lonely anymore" gay mShep playthrough

reason for mentioning Prothy in the first place:
I wouldn't be surprised if Prothy was in the game and even plot relevant, but whether he becomes a squadmember is dependant on whether you have the DLC or not.
So people who don't buy it, won't be deprived ot plot important moments and all ...

I think Liara would kill Shep before he/she got far enough into that romance out of pure jealousy.

And don't worry! You'll be able to be gay, that much is 100% confirmed, unless Casey out right lied and omg that would be a HUUUUUUGe problem for BioWare. You'll have -someone- we just don't know who yet for sure. 

Wait... too much optimism, they cut all M/M romances from the game.

I cannot convey my depression that Tali is MaleShep only. I hate playing MaleShep. I mean.. for Tali I'll do it. But I will be grumpy.

I imagine Thane is missing because several members of the ME2 team are only temporary squad mates. So maybe he doesn't count as a full LI. I hope we still get Thane scenes though, one of my Shep's romanced him and I would like to wrap them up..

Unless the guide only lists romances/flings that can be started in ME3. So maybe you can start new romance with Tali, Garrus, Jacob & Miranda but not with Thane, Jack & Kelly

Thane seems to die invariably, and Jack at the very least can die. For the latter, they may have mistaken that for an auto-death. Or less likely, Bioware made Jack die every playthrough.

To be honest with the amount of errors the DA2 guide had it wouldn't surprise me if the source is reliable and they've just misprinted it and thats why a few are missing.

I wouldn't say according to the list FemShep can end up with no options. Wouldn't even say it's Samara like though. At least for me lack of sexual scene doesn't mean there's no romance there, Samara won't even kiss you and says in another life but that sounds more like "Once we're done here We'll party like it's 1999".

Still Skeptical though, Guides are hardly renouned for accuracy, I remember some corkers from FF guides years back. But that Skeptism can also apply to things missing.

Wish the UK would break tradition for this release, they've done it before, if anything it seemed to be dying out and worldwide releases growing.

Ah man, she will be forever alone.

I mean if the Vega 'romance' is good enough that will be fine with me, but I was hoping for at least another male option. There's a new woman for Sheploo.

That would be odd, if it's true. Being able to start new romances with Miranda, Jacob, Garrus and Tali, that is. Especially the first two, I was under the impression they wouldn't get enough screen time to develop anything properly.
