Vega can technically be said to be an option. If there's a back-and-forth flirting thing going on, it's going to be a light romance of sorts (Vega actually apparently says things to female Shepard that are blush-worthy), excepting the supposed requirement of a sex scene.

The tweet responses felt vague and possibly dodging the question. The new options that they mentioned could largely just be F/F options (of which there are 4 you can start in ME3).

If you want to decide it isn't romance without sex then you are welcome to. I disagree.

It is not romance if he tells you "No time we have to save the galaxy" to your face.
Also think about it:
straight Mshep:1 new girl willing to sleep with him
gay Mshep:2 new guys willing to sleep with him
lesbian Fshep: 3 new girls willing to sleep with her
straight Fshep: 0. though luck I guess.

Wish I was American though, another week and a bit....

Again. I still think he counts as a valid romance. If you don't, that's fine. From my perspective though both straight MaleShep and straight FemShep got one romance.

I read somewhere else that the list we just saw is the list available to new players. As that those with ME2 save files will still be able to finish off their ME2 romance.

No, if straight femShep offed Kaidan on Virmire, then she has no one. AFAIK, you still can't start a romance with the ME2 LIs.

I mean if the Vega 'romance' is good enough that will be fine with me, but I was hoping for at least another male option. There's a new woman for Sheploo.

I always assumed Diana was more of a fling not a full out romance. If I remember correctly in the leaked script can't you have sex with Diana while being romantically involved with someone else on the ship?

At least Diana fans can have 'sex' with Diana, Vega is a no-go.



I just thought there would have been at least another kind of option, even if it was a male crew member. Just seems odd.

I don't think we have definite conformation yet. Unless I see a scan of that book I am inclined to be skeptical. After the charade with Klace and getting my hopes up once a week and then plummeting right back down again I just don't know anymore.

I am reposting this gif Saber posted in the Vega thread because this is honestly what it feels like.



It looks to me like Diana is missing a lot of casual build up of  the romance but has a lot of opportunities to have casual sex. Whereas in the case of Vega he has that casual build up of the romance but does not have any opportunity to have sex. Again this is what it seems like I am just speculating like everyone else is.

I am honestly okay with no sex scene. I'd rather be able to see the romance grow and hold off the sex for later than the later like Diana's is portrayed.

Like Ricvenart said early I would not call Vega's romance similar to Samara's because she doesn't leave hope for the player. She says in another life time. She can't break her code for Shepard. With Vega it looks like you can be in a relationship with him but it just doesn't have a sex scene.

Having no sex doesn't mean it's not a romance. You can choose not to have sex with any of the romances in ME1 and Liara and the VS still acknowledges the romance. Just in this case it is Vega that is saying not right now but doesn't mean he wouldn't have sex with Shepard later. It is refreshing to see something like that in ME when the romances especially in ME2 are "when are we going to have sex" oriented, I respect that.

You can't start a new relationship with ME2 non-squadies. But that still leaves Garrus (and quite possibly Jacob)

Serves the player right for killing Kaidan.

although in the overall trilogy:

Straight MShep: 7 romances (old and new), 3 flings (one of them deadly) and one quasi-romance (Samara). 11 options in total.
Straight FShep: 4 romances (old and new), 1 quasi-romance. 5 options in total.
Gay MShep: 1 or 2 romances (only new). 1 or 2 options in total,
Lesb FShep: 2 romances (old and new), 3 flings (one of them deadly) and one quasi-romance (Samara). 6 options in total.

I don't care for new femshepards in ME3 since they can easily choose Kaidan as VS and it's their problem if they don't. And if it's imported ME2 fsheps Kaidan is always alive. I don't get how is it much more unfair than gay Shep not having any LI for 2 games.<_<

Kaidan can be dead for male gamers as well...so male gamers has only steve and female gamers get garrus and maybe jacob and vega. you can't say she get's no one.

I dont mind no 'sex' I just hope for any kinda of intimate scene, even if its just a look or a hug. I loved the KoTOR romances which had zilch body contact.

I just want to see whether Vega has enough dialogue for me to feel that I will enjoy it. Samara's wasnt enough for me personally, neither was Sebastian's

I'm glad that I have Kaidan for one FemShep. I'll probably romance Samatha/Vega but  theres no one else that gets my interest.

No final/official confirmation. AT the moment, it looks like we're getting Kaidan & Cortez for full romances and Vega for light/Samara-like "romance"
