He managed to romance Samantha just fine though so I doubt it's that. And the VS (Kaidan at least) has dialogue about Shep being with Liara instead of him so...

That's possible too.

We obviously don't know how long it took to 'commit' to the Liara romance in his game. 

Considering that Ashley is "out of order" for a bit after Mars he might have committed to Liara (on an import) before really getting the chance to go with Ashley.

I'll say that the whole shower sex scene with Samantha sounds like they designed her romance for male players. Which is a shame.

He mananged to sleep with Samantha but not complete her romance.

We don't know how each individual romance is structured.

It may be possible to get into the shower with Samantha very early on, but the Ashmance might develop later...thus, he could have committed to Liara before the Ashmance could have a chance.

But I guess it could also be argued that Liara is the "nice" s/s lover while Samantha gets to be the "naughty" one and chalk it up to diversity.

You guys are too fast or I'm too slow.

It certainly could be this.  At least, I'm hoping that's what it is otherwise, one of my particular Femsheps will end up with Liara which I didn't want to do again (as much I adore Liara).

Either way, we'll know soon enough I suppose. 

I feel bad the Vegamancer hopefuls though.  I hope there's more to it than what has been said.

I still think it's weird even if it's an option and still has no effect on my Shep. It bothers me mostly because there was no flirting of any kind between the two in ME1 or ME2. But suddenly in ME3, without any explaination, Ash is bisexual.

I think it's cheap, especially since Liara was a romance option for FemShep from beginning until the end. That actually makes sense and doesn't require explaination. But for Ash and Kaiden, I think there does need to be some sort of explaination.

I mean, what the hell? Why wait until ME3 to do this? It seems like a wasted opportunity that either should have been taken advantage of in ME1 or just left alone in ME3. Would people be upset that they couldn't romance those two characters if they played the same gender? Of course. But I think people would get over it.

Just look at the James Vega situation. Or even Samara. Yeah, peopl didn't like it, but they accepted it. You aren't always going to get your way, and neither is Shepard. I think that's the way it should be. It adds depth to the characters and the universe.

That would be AMAZING.  I'd order three more copies and give them away just so everyone could experience that awesomeness.
