It could be that Ashley isn't but Kaidan is.

That would suck

Total speculation, but perhaps you need to say the right things after Mars (and in the Citadel scene) to start the 'new' VS path.

(Also, the Omega stuff is frustrating me, if only because it looks exactly like it was deliberately shunted to DLC?)

Technically, if they're back on the Normandy, then it should mean you were nice to them and they trust you so you have good relationship with them and can pursue romance. Unless there's no romance with Ash :/

If this is true, I wonder if it means no Kaidan, OR, (which is something I sometimes suspected myself), perhaps only Kaidan is bi?

Maybe they simply run out of time/had too much to do so decided to cut that? If it still makes it into as DLC, and gets expanded too into some huge-ass Omega retake, then I won't complain

Snip.

Two names. Garrus and Tali.

Also I knew my BF for three years before we even started flirting.

And make up your mind. You complain that the relationships are different since the VS would in effect be treating their approach to each gender differently. Then you complain that Bioware should not treat the romances for either gender the same.

Considering Javik I'm utterly unsurprised. <_<

WAITWAITWHAT.

I just got back from a nice day out and now I'm hearing that Ashley might not be an option for femshep?!

Someone explain and/or tell me it isn't true. Because I may actually cry if that is the case after all this.

I still think it's weird even if it's an option and still has no effect on my Shep. It bothers me mostly because there was no flirting of any kind between the two in ME1 or ME2. But suddenly in ME3, without any explaination, Ash is bisexual.

I think it's cheap, especially since Liara was a romance option for FemShep from beginning until the end. That actually makes sense and doesn't require explaination. But for Ash and Kaiden, I think there does need to be some sort of explaination.

I mean, what the hell? Why wait until ME3 to do this? It seems like a wasted opportunity that either should have been taken advantage of in ME1 or just left alone in ME3. Would people be upset that they couldn't romance those two characters if they played the same gender? Of course. But I think people would get over it.

Ok, firstly, if you have trouble with something even if it's optional and doesn't affect you, I think you're being unnecessarily opposed to what would satisfy and delight a lot of people.

Secondly, if Ash is bisexual in ME3, she was always bisexual. Since she never said she was straight, I don't see the problem here.

Thirdly, they "waited for ME3 to do this" because, in ME's case, timing and resources limitations (and the decision not to make the VS available) prevented s/s romances. For ME2's case, it was more like executive meddling and risk-aversion.

Fourthly, yes people would be upset. I'm not one of them, but I know many people in this thread and elsewhere who would be. Kaidan (particularly) and Ashley are by far the most popular potential s/s characters. Literally hundreds of people have posted about how pleased they are that they'll be available in ME3. With respect, I don't think you can appreciate that or understand it.

Bioware have a chance to open up characters to both genders - characters that were *never* identified as straight, except by players themselves - and satisfy a bunch of their fans in the process. There's nothing wrong with that.

(Not to mention that given ME3's squad was finalised before s/s romances were, by the looks of it, they had to work with who they had available.)

I'm not sure Ashley is the most popular F/F character (who isn't already, obviously), actually. There's enough for Jack and Tali that they might be.

Does anyone else think that scene where Zaeed professes his love for male Shepard seem forced? I am starting to get the feeling that he has been indoctrinated by the Reapers.

I really hope they do a good job with the character design for the resurrected Saren though. Too bad HE is not a LI. His voice is SEX-AY.

The pirate fleets still show up in the War Assets page, even though the Space Edition person never mentioned Omega. It's weird.

Re: Ashley - I think the number of ways the player could've missed the dialogue is far more likely than her not being available. We don't know the plot flags and conditions for activating it or proceeding with it.

Whereas, we've had a tester talking for months about the game and mentioning both Ashley and Kaidan.

(To put it another way: I think it's way more likely that Space Editon player missed something, and not the SA Forum Guy - especially when the latter played through all romances and knows the plot and features inside out)

I'm now even *more* pissed they don't just go ahead and tell us who the damn LIs are and for who.

We're going to find out who they are before the damn game releases anyway. >_>

I'm not sure it's really all that likely that you have to jump through hurdles to do a Bioware romance these days.

I didn't think I could be more pissed off at Priestly.
This is utter bullsh*t. It's a slap in the face.

But Tali IS a s/s option if you help Kal Reeger become Admiral and then have Legion blow his brains out. Granted I think it is a bit extreme for female Shepard to force Tali to become mentally shattered to pursue a s/s relationship but the Jack/Tali party banter is hilarious.

This is true.  Quick playthrough first time around.  Maybe he missed something?  ^_^

Allright, you've just made me a believer!  Your optimism is infectious, thanks ElitePinecone! <3

Does anyone else here think that being able to impregnate EDI is blatant fan service? Especially the way we are railroaded into it. Totally ruined my immersion. I hear if you are playing female Shepard you have to talk Vega into doing it. That is really a slap in the face IMHO.

Oh well. That is enough spoilers today. I may go over the Tali thread and drop a few over there.

So if Sam can be started as a casual thing, is she still a full romance? Or is she truly a new Kelly (not just in job).

I... can't take this emotional rollercoaster for much more. Just effin' confirm the romances already, this is getting ridiculous. Too emotionally invested in a videogame? Possibly.

No Kelly so much. More like Morrigan, I believe.

I am taking a nap this thread. lol

Everyday someone comes out and says"Oh yeah, VA s/s" everyone gets hyped and then someone goes...."Nope, don't believe em!" then we all get bummed. I am settling on the idea that nobody here knows what they are talking about and misinformation is just jerking everyon around. So I propose that we not believe either way until someone has ACTUAL VISUAL proof.

This is coming from someone who has wanted Ash for S/S since ME1.

The Australian release is the 8th... it's been confirmed for months.

However I heard recently, as in a couple of days ago (from the place that I have ordered my special edition ME3 from) , that the release date may have been pushed back as they have no record on when they are getting ME3.
