EB, JB and GAME are all saying March 8 - unless you're in a regional area it should be that all over the country.

(Although, if your local store is saying later, they're probably right - I'm not sure.)

So because I chose Dick Smith over EB and I don't live on the Eastern Coast I am essentially screwed and will be extremely lucky to get ME3 for my birthday (which is at the end of March).

I bet the mods and devs have been watching this thread and laughing their asses off while we writhe in agony.

Not gonna lie, I totally would.  Reminds of the old Deathmarch days back in the Harry Potter fandom.  Legendary!

is the harby romance before or after he sings that duo with Jacob about the prize?

It's a Barbershop Quartet actually:  Harby, Jacob, Mordin and Garrus all sing a few songs from the Pirates of Penzance renamed the Pirates of Omega.  Aria and Hackett  make a special guest appearance and teach everyone how to dougie. :)

Tis quite AWESOME.

My Shepard will always love Harby even though Udina deflowered him.

That said, I do think some explaination is in order. I'm not opposed to the idea, I just want some in-game clarification. Is that so bad?

VS: Uh, Shepard. I just want you to know, for some reason, that if you were the opposite gender I would have assumed the position for you instantly and you would have to have beaten me off with a stick. But you are the same gender, so I waited until now. For some reason I felt the need to state the obvious for the player even though it means nothing to you.

Shepard: I'm surprised we didn't do this earlier.
Kaidan: You never asked about my dead boyfriend from Brain Camp. Thinking of him would have got me right in the mood.
Shepard: don't you think it's time to rectify that?

God, I hope they don't ruin the Harry Potter books by putting any gay people in them.

Well, it's made explicit in ME3, because you can clearly romance them as both genders. Their intentions or implications in ME are irrelevant. From an in-universe perspective, the VS was never established as straight in the first or second games, and now they're available for both genders.

...or they're not, based on today's info.

You're probably right in that it was the developer's intention, and not made explicit.

As for an explanation, well - that's for Bioware to decide, surely. There are some lines in there, sure, but if it doesn't provide a comprehensive explanation I hardly think it's a big deal. You're welcome to make your displeasure known, but I don't think Bioware sees it as a priority.

If the choice is between 'satisfying loads of fans' and 'expanding on something we only implied two games ago, and never confirmed explicitly' - well, I know what I'd choose.

Indeed, and I don't want a comprehensive explaination. I'd settle with some gender-specific dialogue. It would make it all feel a little more connected and not so... shoehorned in.

So no Kaidan? I'm not hyped by this game anymore... Generic shuttle pilot, you can j**k off all you want coz you're getting nothing in my playthrough

Really?  I'm excited for the s/s options being included, but it's certainly not the ONLY reason I'm hyped for the game.

You guys aren't seriously putting all your eggs in one basket (S/S) to fuel your hype and excitement for ME3, are you? I know this game will be great, though not unflawed, for a ton more reasons.

I am giggling like a loon here.

But it is bad enough Kaidan got a lot of Carth hate after ME1 was released don't go adding to the Carth syndrome. (And why can I actually hear the VAs in my head actually saying those lines?!)

Guy who got the ME3 space editon in the spoiler group says Ashely is not S/S from what they can tell. And this person did Samantha.

He did say Cortez and Traynor seem S/S exclusive, though.
