For being too invested in this... it's a small thing overall, but I guess I've just been disappointed a lot by ME3 leaks/news over the months, especially when it comes to characters I like (the characters are a big reason why I like Mass Effect), and I latched onto this as something cool to look forward to. If it turns out not true, well, I dunno.

Yeah this kinda sums up how I feel. I did get really excited about the possibility of romancing a character I've wanted to for a long time. Not gonna ruin everything but it's going to be kinda disappointing if it turns out all the rumors/leaks were bull.

Videos and screenshots are harder to fake though (for more people than not) I'd believe a video/SS more over just someone's word. Too many damn jerks on the internet unfortunately.

hence the "for most people" it's not fullproof but it's a LOT more likely than just someone typing some random BS ala Klace. I know videos and SSs can be faked, but that takes a lot more work. I want it all to be true, believe me. I'm just tired of the crap.

A lot of game mod sites have basically made game mods idiot proof. For example, if I wanted to I could buy DA:O for my PC download that free love mod, play it with my male human noble becoming queen and then post it on the internet and claimed it is from a bugged version or an international version of the game.

SAFG played through all the romances and seemed to have an exhaustive knowledge of the game. It doesn't mean they're totally accurate, but I'd take their word over someone who was doing a first playthrough and no knowledge of the triggers and conversation paths.

I wasn't talking about SAFG. For all we know, his version is outdated / bugged. And he didn't seem like he was at all interested in exploring the s/s VS romances further, so it could have just been an assumption.
Really, either the "sexual tension" potentially means nothing, or the "no flirting that they could see" means "no flirting, period."
Today's guy has the game and he's been at least as detailed as SAFG, from what I could see (skipped over in order not to ruin the game for myself).
The prima guide, on the other hand, would have been scanned multiple times by now, so that's almost certainly fake.

Every time I check this thread the emotional vibe is changed from the last time. I had started a new male Shepard for the S/S romance, but I don't feel very compelled to finish it right now. I suppose I'll see what options are available when I get it and decide what to do from there.

They care enough to come here to post against it again and again and to start hater's threads every now and then.
So yes, I have the feeling that they care even more for the unavaiability of our options, than the avaiability of theirs, or maybe they just take them for granted, too much privilege for those spoiled kids...

They're upset enough that we have Steve; I don't think that Kaidan being available for s/s, or not, will tip the scales in one direction or another.  They're far more upset that Shepard is gay in someone else's universe.

He hasn't played a dude yet. Some people speculate he just missed his opportunity to flirt or was committed to Liara and couldn't flirt anymore.
