This is what I'm most afraid of, I guess. If the game leaves me feeling completely bummed out, I'm unlikely to pick it up and play again, regardless of whether I otherwise liked it. And I want to want to replay ME3 (if that makes any sense), I have several Sheps waiting for the conclusion.

And the Liara thing may seem minor, but it's just the last straw, really.

This sounds more like FO3's ending pre-Broken Steel then anything. Radiation Immune mutant refuses to enter radiated room meaning you have to die or be a jerk and get the girl killed. Hardly great writing or drawing from many emotions (aside from rage)

We should have just shot Liara out of a Mass effect cannon, at the reapers, killing them all, she'd be fine after all.

Don't think they've "confirmed" LI flashbacks for anyone other then Liara, Kaidan and Ashley (and I wouldn't hold my breath for LI's started in 3 not triggering the default). I don't think anyone knows yet if they've even bothered to do other LI's as you can't get them though normal means. Wouldn't surpised me if Steve doesn't even have one.

Fricken kidding me? So not only is there no varying degrees of ending they couldn't even be bothered to make a 2 second clip for some variety within them? Even with a patch to allow them to be triggered all s/s Shep's will be dreaming of Liara?

Meh, I'm more upset about the other parts of the ending(s) than the flashback.  Liara's ok, my Shepard likes her, and I highly doubt there's a voice over where he actually says "Wow, these are the three most important people in my life!"  I think that's just an interpretation. 

EDIT: Not that I think it's a particularly good thing, or even a non-lazy one.  It really wouldn't take much to put in flashbacks for the other characters.

No, man, you really don't.  Well... on the other hand, a week to digest the information might help to soften the blow a bit.  I'm already feeling a bit better about it than I did last night.  But still not great; it probably never will feel particularly good.

But yeah, that pretty much sums it up. And I used to be neutral about her back in the day.

Seriously though yesterday I was bouncing to play ME2 now I can hardly stand to look at it. I'm going to go ahead and install DAO and DA2 before the ME series.

If it is true that it is really bad, I won't rage. I will just imagine another ending for my shep. ( anyways M3 is the end of Shepard's story )

My shep will be alive, with his LI no matter what could happen in their endings.  Otherwise, I will accept everything else from the script about the consequences in my playthrought.

Are you telling me that either

a) the ending is depressing story-wise for LIs
the ending seems unfinished for LIs
c) the ending is ****ing rage-inducing, a la Anders
d) the ending is out of character
e) the ending makes sense for straight LIs, but not for s/s ones?
