Well undoubtedly they probably won't be as deep and emotional as the romances with characters you have come to know through 3 games. Sam and Steve you have to crunch into 1 game and there's prolly not enough time to get on the same level as the other characters. But yes, it's his opinion that the romances are weak, and I for one will reserve judgement till I see it in action. Steve is my second playthrough anyway.
