Yeah, I agree with this.  I was supposed to leave like two days ago. Lol!  But I had to watch and observe all of the drama going down in that super spoiler forum.  Then I had my brilliant idea for a multiplayer group.  Ha. :/

More and more it just seems like the game we're getting is not the game we were told we were getting. In any respect.

I can only hope this trend continues in that the game we actually get is not the game we now think we're going to be getting. But my hopes are not high.

Well, having played the multiplayer I know the combat is fun, so at least I won't be bored as I find out what really is going down in the story. If nothing else it will be a great game to have at LAN parties!

Ah, yes. I always viewed the lesbian options in the previous games as made purely for the male hetero crowd.

Actually Ashley's dialogue asked if Shep was bothered that she was Christian when they were discussing god. At least in my game she did. Maybe different regions got variations of that dialogue.

Didn't she say something along the lines of, "It doesn't bother you if I believe in God, does it, Skipper?"

Edit: My point, she was talking about if her belief in God, in general, bothered you. She doesn't actually say anything about being "Christian". Unless I'm just completely insane...

She also believes her grandfather is in heaven.

Which could be a wide variety of religions, or none at all (and instead just spirituality).

No it didn't, she is very specifically non-specific in her description of her religion.  Do you play in a language besides english?  Might be a translation error if so.

It frustrates me to no end that "the internet" has somehow spun that to her being Christian, which is nonsense.

Culturo-religiocentric nonsense, even. Because (one assumes) many of the people screaming about Ashley's religion are themselves Christian, and come from a society in which references to "heaven" and "god" do, and could only ever mean, Christian versions. 

If Ashley's s/s romance (assuming one was planned in the first place) was cut because they were afraid of the controversy, I'd be... pretty pissed.

I'd love to get Chris L'Etoile's opinion on it, given he was her writer.

I think we need to find some ME1 transcripts online and solve this debate once and for all. And if that fails to stop the debate, then hopefully there is footage of it on YouTube.
