It's the SAFE choice: "Here's the ******, but you can avoid it if you'd really like by killing one off and ignoring the other!" Bah!

Nothing we can do at this point. Better to just be happy about what we're getting...maybe? XD

So far I've heard that Vega is not a proper romance either with femShep or mShep. I read that he's available for a non-romance with mShep, but I think it was by the same people that were saying Ashley was bi so, maybe he's not bi as well. And if he is, I don't know if it's worth having a playthrough just for him (do we have any of his audio files?). Not an import anyway.

My femshep doesn't have any option, it seems. ( I hoped Vega ) Kaidan is dead in my playthrought. Maybe Garrus will be available again in m3.

Definitely not, since the fact he had a husband is out there completly. StarightSheps can't avoid it. And there are multiple other suggestions that he likes men

Yeah but doesn't he say that only if you approach him and talk to him? Most fans that don't want the gayz in their game would avoid talking to him throughout the entire game if they already know that he is romanceable by mShep.

Instead of simply saying: We're disappointed Ashley is not a romance option for femshep.

You formulate it by adding: "because guys got Kaidan".

What exactly do you mean? Is this something new or are you talking about the super happy flower field endings we have? XD Because I'm pretty sure Liara's plotshield doesn't apply here?

You guys and gals are such DOWNERS! lol Sure, I'm happy (100x so) that I got Kaidan, and I am also sorry for you females who couldn't get Ashley. And that one person was completely rude by saying "suck it up gay male romance was deserved" we didn't "deserve" anything. We're the consumers of a video game the biggest important thing about the series is the over all story itself, the relationships are there for those that want them, so they didn't HAVE to give a M/M for Kaidan, and they didn't HAVE to add a new character in the form of Cortez, especially for Shepard. Nor did they HAVE to add Jessica Chobot's voiced character, nor the other chick, for lesbian options for FemSheps.

I take what I can get, and I'm excited as hell to hear that I got what I wanted. So I'm going to end this doom and gloom by being excited for the games release, and kick that schedule of emotions we will be going through on this forum to the curb. lol

I get you why you're upset, I really get it. But Kaidan has always being the most wanted returning male character, and male character in general for s/s, afaik. So I don't think it's a safe choice, but giving most of m/m fans what they want.
In fact, James wouldn't make anyone from Recon Team complain, since he is a new character and they don't care about them yet.
Now if you told me that Vega should have had Cortez' romance arc, and have been made totally gay instead of adding another NPC and having him be a quasi-romance (don't know if he's bi), I would agree with you.
But I, like so many others, am happy to get Kaidan, because we wanted to romance him since we first saw him in the cockpit of SR1.

If the LI is told to stay with his/her people or not to serve on the Normandy he/she can avoid flower field.

Alas can't do that for the s/s romances. Heck even initating the romances means they're stuck in flower field. BS I say.

Also unfortunate implications to the fullest considering what happens in the flower field.

I think it's more that there are numerous f/f choices, and the one guaranteed m/m choice that everyone will have in their game isn't even a full squad member. Well, that's how I see it anyway.

It just leaves it feeling a little like an empty gesture, when the decks are still stacked, as they always have been, in favour of hot chicks.

i'm fine with ash being straight. my two femshep had others in mind for them one has liaraand the other i was saving for traynor. but my grip is this if true bout Ash. they should of made a new bi male character instead of converting Kaidan...i dont think it right to turn one vs bi not the other one.

If someone wants to talk about fairness, he/she needs to take into account ME and ME 2.

And oh you shiny knight you... yeah, be sorry for them... after all, they got just double the number of available romance options, apparently. But it's obviously not enough, because guys got Kaiden!!, is it?
