Okay, this is actually kind of cool. I thought of Garrus, Fenris and Minsc and it guessed each one (I should probably think of characters other than Bioware's for a change).

Dude, I tried it on a somewhat obscure book series I loved when I was a kid and it took a lot of questions but IT GOT IT. Hasn't been wrong yet.

Back ON TOPIC: I sent a PM asking the guy who supposedly has the guide, and he claims the guide says Ashley goes both ways. However, I'm not believing that till I see some proof that he actually has the guide. I asked him for such, but I'm not particularly hopeful that it will pan out (though he did claim previously that he was going to post pictures).

So far the only gender specific part of Kaidan's M/M romance seems to be substitution of "beautiful" with "handsome." Very underwhelming.

Fan service, well, if they say, they do it because the fans want it, it should really be what the fans want, shouldn't it? So I'm just not sure Bioware has an estimate of how many m/m fans wanted specifically Kaidan to be gay/bi or more importantly how many didn't like Kaidan. Generally it's safe to say the m/m fans wanted a m/m option in the game, but if the majority wanted this option to be Kaidan is hard to tell. I guess the best thing to get an idea would be to analyse the BSN, but obviously lots of players don't come here.

So numbers aside. I can see how m/m fans wanted Kaidan since the first game. He was the only other man and it was the beginning. Many find Jacob boring. I wonder if BW may have misconluded that Kaidan was the one, when really there was not much alternative apart from Jacob. Or maybe he really was wanted by most m/m fans. Perhaps BW wanted to "reward" those m/m fans from the beginning and give them Kaidan after all. I can see how that may be the case, but I don't like this explanation.

I don't know, I find questioning this kind of pointless since, of course one can't know what the fans want unless they express it, and there has been a lot of expressing that. And it's not just between him and Jacob, there's Garrus, Thane, even Joker and minor characters (Gavorn, Loriik off the top of my head). So I'm not sure what bothers you about it. Why don't you like the explanation? Is it the "sudden" bisexuality? Because if so, I don't want to go down that road as I find that argument utterly ridiculous, real life or games.

O/S & S/S relationships aren't all that different in real life.  A few words here, a few words there, but the most important ones, tend to be the same:  "I love you."

Whaddaya know, you're right. Although Sky is on the list of known characters it offers afterwards, I dunno why it can't guess it (is it because Sky is fantasy-kinda-but-not-really-Chinese? Kept offering me Chinese characters)

Enough for me. It's a clear and completly open exhibition on BioWare's part of the fact these are two guys romancing each other, not 2 guys with dialogues that could've been used on FemShep. Not to mention the entire scene is almost for sure exclusive to mShep

I spoke to the same person, who claimed Vega, Ash, Kaidan, Liara, Sam and Diana were all available for s/s romances.

There is so much misinformation flying around right now, I think it's safe to say the only absolute at the moment is that Cortez and Traynor are s/s romances, because of the video(s).

Extracted file information, in my opinion, is often misleading, because it rarely shows the whole picture.

Oh I love that character guessing thing ! It's awesome.
I always burst out laughing when the questions become really obvious
e.g Alistair : Is your character of royal descent ? Morrigan : Is your character black-haired ? And then : does your character own a ship (AH! Got you! No it's not Isabela) ? Dom Cobb (Inception) : Can your character enter dreams ? Amazing
I feel like an idiot now, but I can't stop playing.

Edit. I tried that thing with Lightning, Serah and Hope from FFXIII, Ezio, Nathan Drake, GLaDOS, Zaeed and EVEN THE FREAKING GENIE ITSELF. AND ME. And he guessed everything. I suspect dark forces are at work here.

All he needs is to post a picture of the guide with his name and things could very well go back into Uncertainty mode.
