yeah it makes me wanna play Dragon age again. I them so much right now because they just said "ROMANCE ALL THE THINGS" and did their HATERS GONNA HATE walk at the whiners.

Ash is what I assume, christian, so.. yep.. there's the reason she's not a Bi option..

I was gonna romance her just for the lawls with my femshep, but ultimately I'm not surprised by this new development concerning her S/S availability.. Imagine Fox news if she were. I can't believe I'm saying this but I might be leaving my ManShep single. I liked what I heard from Cortez in the leaks but some dancing and having sex right before the end of the game? That's not my idea of a "romance".

Am I the only one that feels this way?

You aren't. in the Me2 section of my big story I had the Mirimance start after Tuchanka because waiting for the last mission to have romance seems stupid especially since it's a "suicide" mission. you'll want more love than just a 2 hr love making session.

Well... that wasn't representative of every part of the romance.  There's buildup to it, as Shepard and Cortez get to know each other, and there are throwaway lines as well that didn't get included in the video.  Just because those two scenes were in the video doesn't mean it's everything in the game, despite what the title of the Youtube video was. 

Plus, Kaidan is an m/m choice as well, we're 99% sure.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sad for those who wanted s/s Ashley, but it's not really fair or unfair.  They're different people.  And lesbian Shepard still has more options than gay Shepard.  But still, it sucks for those who wanted it

Unless I'm taking the dialogue way out of context it sounds like that is every part of the romance, that they threw away all the other stuff from the leaks and tacked the romance onto the end of the game. I'm hoping I'm wrong and that isn't the case, but if it is then I'd rather go with Vega or no romance at all.

It's dumb, but not really unfair. There have always been choices for lesbian Shepard, and there continue to be more choices for lesbian Shepard.

Still, it sucks that people who were really hoping for it may end up not getting it.

It's definitely caused them a lot of problems (and attracted fairly vociferous fans), but... I think Bioware's titles are now so known for their characterisation and roleplay options that it'd be difficult to not feature them in the future.
