Hard to imagine they would make a special shirtless version of him without having him be a love interest. Steve and Shepard and possibly Kaidan too share the same default human male naked torso.

Hopefully there's an option at the start of the game to turn s/s relationships on or off, the s/s relationship dialogue in DA2 kinda wrecked the game for me, I mean idc that its in there, but if theres an option to turn it on or off I'll be turning it off, or at least its hopefully optional to hear that dialogue, like on the convo wheel have the option on the left side(optional stuff to say side) that brings you to the s/s dialogue, I don't wanna be talking to Garrus on my Paragon character (being nice to him) then all of sudden he says something (I'm not trying to offend anyone) homosexual to me, I'll be really disappointed if he does, there dialogue is there, no changing that, but really hope its optional and not part of the regular dialogue like it was in DA2 (specifically like when you first meet Anders and Fenris and their regular dialogue has s/s romance stuff in it). BTW I'm not homophobic, I just don't want my Renegade or Paragon Shepard to be asked by S/S squad members about having a romantic relationship with them, that would wreck the whole perception of a character (ie Garrus) that has been developed over the course of 1 or 2 games.

Superg30, if the Steve Cortez dialogue is any indication, you have three layers of "I'm NOT GAY" before you enter serious S/S territory for any character enabled for that.  As others have mentioned, though, I don't think Garrus is. Regardless, I'd wager that the heterosexuality of your game experience won't be too difficult even without a toggle.

All signs point to Garrus being straight and dandy, so you can rest your worried mind. I know how shocking it would be if suddenly everyone starts jumping your Shepard from every dark corner.
