@Kelly: I'm sorry you feel that way about Kelly, Kelly. I was sure Kelly would have loved Kelly too, given how much love Kelly has to give to everyone, Kelly.

What did I ever do to you!?

And I wouldn't quite class Kaidan as a pretty boy.

Same here, I don't really get it, when someone says "pretty" I tend to think slightly androgynous-looking.

I read "What did I ever do to you!?" in Glados' voice. :P

I think he has very 'pretty' features, but he looks quite matured and the stubble takes away from it a bit too.

@Solid: If you don't know I won't tell you *Strops off*

I'd say Kaidan is more ruggedly handsome, especially with his enhanced stubble, dimples, little flaws in his skin. Full of texture and age, the complete opposite of a pretty boy. Not to mention he's hardly small framed and slender, broad and built. Though I'm gutted they didn't bother to do chest hair and "treasure" trail for him, what will I follow to find his jewels?

@Progressive: Still Alive?

Shiala is an email, for anyone who cared.

Yeah, someone already mentioned that about her somewhere, I think it was her thread. Disappointing for Shiala fans, but it's not like she was ever major character anyway

I never really got why so many people wanted her as a romance. I mean if I recall correctly you only talk to her once or twice in Mass Effect.

I should have known better that Bioware would never let a female character be equal to their male characters. All those months of hoping for nothing.

It's 100% true though?

I remember seeing all the names, but I can't remember them at the moment.  Who are the F/F LIs other than Liara and Samantha?

I understand disappointement but seriously, we didn't have a SINGLE option in ME1 and ME2 while f/f side had Liara (biggest romance arc on the entire game), Consort sex, Kelly fling, Samara flirting, Morinth easter egg. And even in ME3 f/f side gets more since Diana is also available for FemShep.

Well, her ME2 cameo made it blatantly obvious she was into Shep and basically suggested a date when they're both more free so I can perfectly see why many people wanted it

As i said before, we don't care about the crew (they're probably not real romances anyway). We wanted Ashley. Like you all wanted Kaidan. If you had more m/m options, you'd still want Kaidan..;)

You could still have sex with the COnsort and Shiala shwoed intrest in Shepard, no matter your gender, so they do count in my books.

Sex interests... The galaxy really needs at least one working brothel; Thedas has two (Azure doesn't count). M.

Of course they ain't LI, but  they're still flings/flirting/easter eggs and oppurtunities for some romantic content ManShep didn't have at all in ME1 & ME2.

I assumed that was in ME2 BECAUSE people had been vocal about their attraction to the character since ME.

So if all of those are available for FemShep, then what did they have against making Ashley one? I wouldn't be so mad if Kaidan wasn't either, but having one be and not the other when they're pretty much equal is complete BS to me, and makes no sense. I'm not even looking forward to the game anymore I'm so disappointed.

Love interests

Implying, full romance arc.

That's fine, but I don't believe the absence of Ashley as F/F means that Bioware doesn't think female characters are equal to male characters.

Based on the old script Diana sure had a lot of dialogue for just a "fling".

Creating romantic content takes time and resources.
I believe those resources are better spent for Kaidan M/M than Ashley F/F because of the relative lack of M/M options.

Steve's romance seems real enough; Samantha is probably as well.  Allers, supposedly, isn't developed like the other two.  And I understand disappointment but it has nothing to do with Bioware shafting their female characters.  If they didn't allow Kaidan as m/m I would be disappointed, but I wouldn't say anything about Bioware not having him be available because of sexism/homophobia/whatever.

Even without Ash, there are now 4 options for the Lesbian gamer (and one fling). Still less then what Straight Male and Female get.

What's the exact new number of romances in ME3 (as in not including old characters)?
