As far as who my male Shepard will romance, I had originally said Steve. But then to prep for ME3's release I played ME1 and 2 again; I had to dig out my virtually unused XBOX for the first game, which I haven't played through in years, and I forgot how much I wanted to romance Kaidan when I first played it. So... Kaidan the first time, definitely.

Now that we kinda/sorta know about new romances.  Perhaps we can talk about who (whom? I always screw up that rule XD) our Shepards will romance and why?

Adrik Shepard has been waiting a long long time to confess his love to Kaidan.

And Damien Shepard, who romanced Ashley in the first game, Jack in the second, might possibly find what he's looking for in Steve! XD Assuming it's possible to switch to his romance at that point.

I have a female Shepard for Garrus. One for Kaidan. One for Jacob.

I have three virgin gay Shepards. One for Kaidan. One for Steve. And one is going to sexually harass Vega all damn day.

I plan to create ME3 Shepards as needed to try out variables.

Urgh. See this? This is why I like the "s/s for everybody!" option. Everybody effectively gets what they want, and nobody gets disappointed.

Well, unless you're one of those "multiple s/s people in one game? MY IMMERSION, IT IS BROKEN" types, I guess.

Ah well. Moderately disappointed myself, with a dash of "now you start deciding the virmire survivors are different people? And only in this specific regard?" for seasoning. I'm currently three for zero on 'female characters I strongly liked and consequently hoped for being available', so yes, going to be disappointed by that. However many options my femshep might otherwise have is largely irrevlevant, because as much as I support including s/s romances as a whole, my support has never really been about that it its core. It's been about wanting to take a particular character narrative path with those characters I personally enjoy the most.

So, disappointing. And not surprising or unreasonable disappointment, I'd say.

I had one paragon mshep who was with Ash, one renegade that hated cerberus who romanced Ash in ME1 and Miranda in 2.

I think I might have to make a third man**** shepard and see how many characters I can end up sleeping with male, female or otherwise in ME3! And maybe one for Cortez because he seems sweet! You know after the other 65 million other playthroughs >.<

Mordin is speaking in the clinical sense, I think. If you're going to try something with a human, why not the strongest human you know? It's not like you're romantically attached to any of them.

THIS! I remember that Shepard request. I also had wondered "I dont' think Krogan's would take 'gay' as a positive then again, maybe they are like the spartans and since the women are typically not around them, they are open just because the lack of so called "fertile" females. "

Oh, I don't disagree. He did talk about the feelings he knew Shepard had for him.

I'm not sure how reproduction(or sex) would work between a human and salarian. I believe salarians have cloacas so the parts wouldn't really match up...I guess the same could be said for gay sex!

Same here. I just can't feel like it's real and in fact would probably keep imagining femShep in my Shepard's place.

This is how I feel, too.  I was playing on an XBOX, but I would not have modded him even if given the opportunity.  If Bioware insisted he was straight, then he was "really" straight and I couldn't get around that.
