I've also never tried to mod in gay romance. I wouldn't be able to pretend that it was actually something that was really happening in the game (knowing that it's all content predicated on female Shepard), and I wouldn't ever believe that whatever reaction VS had in ME2 was actually genuine and not just illicit flags.

I don't think they could reproduce (probably you couldn't cross-species fertilize).

But they might have penis/vagina, so I imagine sex could just be whatever. But if that's your thing, probably you'd have an easier time just having a swim in a pond somewhere.

Yes, I had to gloss over the parts where my MShep was addressed as "Ma'am' by his crew and referred to as 'she' in dialog between squadmates, not to mention the infamous cutscene pre-Ilos where he turns curvier and sports a pair of boadacious ta-ta's

Playing Dragon Age Origins modded so my male rogue Warden could romance and marry Alistair was a bigger kick. I busted out laughing the first time he was introduced to the people of Ferelden as 'your new Queen'.

I was like, "Fereldens, if you only knew...."

I'm sure at several points maleshep speaks with femsheps voice too. I tried about an hour of it and just couldn't get over it. Only for Alistair

S/S romances for ME3 were confirmed like, the next day or something so I figured it wasn't worth it.

I've played once with a modded Shep but it just felt really wrong and like you guys said, like it was cheating. I do have the save, but I don't consider it a serious one. Don't even need it now >

Do we know what are the differences between femShep and mShep that start a new romance with Kaidan? Dialogue wise?

I'm 99.9999999% sure there isn't. Hale doesn't even have lines for this dialogue.

Wait Ash isn't s/s? I thought that the game was exactly the same as the leaked script and there seemed to be femshep/ashley in the script.
Shepard: This is a nice spot, Ash.

Ashley: Yeah. All the shuttles zipping around reminds me of when my Dad would get ready to ship out. My mom would bundle us all up, buy us ice cream, and cart us out to the shipyard to watch his transport depart. I still have to resist waving every time a big Alliance ship flies by.

So that's a romance dialouge and the bolded line shows femshep can/could have this conversation. So either it's cut or something else.

We are pretty sure she is NOT s/s but there is a SLIGHT hope that she is. Maybe there were plans at one point but if there were and she is NOT s/s then that means Bioware dropped her for some reason. Maybe because of that reporter chick?

Ah well. Moderately disappointed myself, with a dash of "now you start deciding the virmire survivors are different people? And only in this specific regard?" for seasoning. I'm currently three for zero on 'female characters I strongly liked and consequently hoped for being available', so yes, going to be disappointed by that. However many options my femshep might otherwise have is largely irrevlevant, because as much as I support including s/s romances as a whole, my support has never really been about that it its core. It's been about wanting to take a particular character narrative path with those characters I personally enjoy the most.

So, disappointing. And not surprising or unreasonable disappointment, I'd say.

Thats exactly right, its quite reasonable to hope that logic would prevail here as it has in so many other games now.  Arguing over which characters should be straight/gay/bi is so completely absurd when you consider that it is actually easier for them to just make them all available to everyone, and then everybody gets what they want.  Whether you're looking at Dragon Age 2, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, or of course the Sims (and who knows how many other games also fall into that category) games are definitely going the 'all available' route more and more, and if they're all available that doesnt mean 'they're all bi', it just means they're whatever you want them to be.  That means that everybody gets what they want, and everybody wins.  Picking winners and losers when its so easy for everybody to be winners means that you're just picking losers, and why would anybody want to do that?  Im quite confident that if/when my FemShep romances Samantha, I won't be thinking 'this is an awesome romance because MaleShep players cant play it!', any more than I was thinking 'This romance with Leliana would've been great, but darn it male wardens can play it too, so it sucks', thats just crazy.  There's literally nothing to be gained by preventing people from doing the romances they want, it doesnt make them better in any way for the folks who are still allowed to play them.  Hopefully in the future the ME series will go the way of DA and a lot of other game series out there these days, and just let us romance who we want, that way everybody is happy and everybody wins.  I guess the only downside would be that we'd all have to find something else a lot less interesting to argue about .

I think I stumbled across lines like these in the .tlk a little while ago, but I had no idea what I was doing, and I had no idea if they were even relevant.  Couldn't it still just be cut dialogue?

I think this dialogue is part of the dinner scene, alternate for ManShep in place of FemShep's multiple "starting/renewing romance" lines. So some dialogues will be the same for ManShep & FemShep (like IDK, Kaidan talkign about wine lol), but his "confession" and the way they start romance will be different

I think Ash might have been cut because I thought the prevailing speculation during the leaked script era was that Diana Allers was for heterosexual MShep only. 

But--that's just speculation.  It's hard to tell and judge.
