I don't dispute that. I'm just not sure it's noteworthy that this is how some people were going to respond.
Unless it was truly expected that things would somehow be different this time, but was anybody even expecting that?
I don't know. I just don't like to see people like that taken seriously, even if the reality is that you have to deal with their hatred.

Cut is an ambiguous term.
I'm pretty sure that if he said it he means that no romance was ever implemented and then cut. There could have been lines written or options explored, but in the end they chose not to go through with it (not to say they ever planned or even considered such a thing).
But unused dialogue is not the same as an implemented romance that was later removed.
