I think the feminine behaviour comes with the fact he shares the soul of Ashley. Seriously they have been giving them the same animation.

Do we know if Jack is a possible love interest for females now?
Side note: I was kinda hoping for a transgender squad member this round~

I would be incredibly surprised if that happened anytime soon.

@Progressive_Stupidity1 Which one? Or is it both?

I think you can only continue the romances started in ME2 not have any of the ME2 options as a brand new romance. But that is only what I have been able to gather from a leaked script that is months old.

And how do you know if any of your current/former squaddies (aside from the Asari ones) were born a different gender? Answer is you don't. And I pretty sure that with the use of mods you can make Shephard transgendered.

Is it FemShep playthrough? And it's not like they made him bi just because of animations, animations are done after deciding the romances and writing them

Hello all. Finally back online. So are the VS still on the no/maybe lists?

Kaidan is sure to be available for s/s romance, Ash is sure to not be available for s/s romance

I hope not. Bioware already messed up using an established character for same sex which made it seem like a different character all together. If they want to do same sex, then fine but introduce a new character for it so it doesn't change an existing one. Hey, they can do it with Vega since he's a new character without a problem.

Kaidan is an m/m option in ME3.

I think we'll have to disagree that it's "messing up" anything.

Oh, obligatory:

Of course you can't *know* without being on the team yourself, but they wouldn't be transgendered characters to us.

The second one. And yes, I suppose I can't PROVE that Jack or Kaidan or whoever aren't transgendered, but if they are it's never come up in-game or in developer comments.

I feel the direction they went with Kaidan M/M was the best route to go in expanding romance options.
Kaidan isn't saying that he had feelings for Shepard all along but didn't reveal them (which is what they did with Tali), he seems to have developed or realized feelings now.

I was just meaning more of an openly transgender character, as a trans* person I just think it'd be interesting is all.

I was watching a Male Shep playthrough with Kaidan.

A transgendered character would be nice. I think they'd have to (or should) approach that subject delicately, though.
Normally Bioware is decent at that, but what worries me is that video games seem comfortable enough in stereotyping or making LGBT subjects the punchline of jokes.

This. I'd love to see it happen. And be handled with dignity and care. But I just don't see it happening while people are still so bloody immature about these things.

It was a playthrough of the level that comes after leaving Earth. So no.

I just love it how people are assuming just because you are a bi/gay guy you should act more feminine. I would at least like to think that Kaidan is now a bit more feminine in his movements is because he is given the same animations as Ashley (to be lazy) and not because someone thought; "Hey now that Kaidan's bi shouldn't he act a bit more girly."

Playing through ME2, for the heck of it. Managed to capture a beautiful moment, as Ash is told she is not going to be able to express her intimate feelings for femShep in ME3:

That's silly. Feminine behaviour does not make a man bisexual or gay or mean that he is bisexual or gay. Gender expression [such as feminine behaviour] means exactly squat about sexual orientation. BioWare know that.

I'm thinking a Jade Empire sequel would be a decent setting for a serious transgendered character.

There's a stereotype that gay men act more like woman. I'm just saying it seems like that's the route that was created with Kaidan.

It's been a while, but wasn't there a cross dresser in JE? I'm pretty sure there was.

I am aware of what the stereotypes of gay men are. I was telling you that they are silly and the idea that BioWare made Kaidan an LI option for ManShep in ME3 because his animations are "feminine" is silly.

I would think the fact that it looks like Kaidan is staring at male Shepard's backside and smiling was enough indication.
Also, someone at Bioware has a serious love of ass.

Been too long for me.
But if that's true, that might make the setting more so adequate.
