Well, Kaidan's best Cerberus convo is fully cinematic and it's fantastic. Alond with taking him to Cerberus base, it finished his "problems with Cerberus and Shep in Cerberus" arc sooooo good I was really surprised

After 22 hours of emotional tempest I finally finished ME3. Unlike many people on BSN, ME3 is my favorite Bioware now. Not without its problems for sure but it was an epic adventure. Biggest problem I have with the game is limited role playing elements. I can't see myself playing it with my other sheps for a long time or playing with my Renegade Shep ever. I will play couple more Matt runs (I finished ME2 with him 6 or 7 times). Also I am happy with ending(red one) it made huge sense for Matt. ME3 turned my expectations upside down. I was hoping to like Vega but turned out I can't stand him. I was thinking Kaidan romance would be half assed one but it wasn't. I was hoping to hate Liara and Tali but they were awesome. Especially parting gift from Liara is the best reprensentation of BFF concept.

Anyway I like Kaidan's romance. It's best m/m romance for me now (Sorry Sky). It could use a little bit more flirting and hinting relationship here and there but over all, from date scene to romance and farewell one Bioware did an amazing job. Still not happy with Shep's straight man reaction on date scene but space bar for moments like that.

Now I need to go back to ME2 and restart Suicide Mission. Even I didn't like Garrus I want to see him and my unfortunate sacrifice Samara in ME3. Too late for Jacob as I don't have any earlier safe but as he's least important thing in ME2, I doubt his ME3 cameo will make things better.

Just finished a femshep with kaidan playthrough (transgendered my modded maleshep before import) to see the differences and it had more dialog, but didn't feel as right as maleshep/kaidan, I'm loving the fact that they are best friends that had feelings for one another, and they were blossoming slowly along the series and they didn't realise about that 'till they knew they could lose each other to the war.

Kaidan is so cute in the date scene, I mean, his eyes evading shepard's whilst trying to find the words to express how he felt, and Mark Meer did an amazing job, I had chills when he said the "it does feel right" line and Kaidan's reponse "there are benefits to the happiness". Loved everything!! (except the endings, if not for them this would have been the best game ever, but Kaidan s/s is the best romance ever in spite of them).

Also loved Liara's faces on Mars when she tells the "capable" line and
then at the Normandy's med bay, it was as if she thought it was so
obvious there was something going on between them, even if Shepard and
Kaidan were oblivious.

I liked the romance so much that in my second maleshep playthrough, which was intended to romance Cortez, when I did hit on him at the disco he told me about my having something with Kaidan. Lol, how did he know?

I was kinda pissed my Shep didn't hug Liara after Thessia. They were hugging on ME2 even without relationship with her. That mission also after our friendship dialogue.

Cortez is awesome but I always find myself thinking "he is such a handsome guy, he will make someone very happy someday" whenever I see him.

sooo I started replaying ME3 with my vanguard(wonder how Tali will react to shep cheatig on her with a guy lol) and any one listen to the traumitized asari in the hospital? the one about her killing a young farm girl on a out of the way colony called hillary who wanted to be a pilot... because um

Jokers little sister lived on a farm on an out of the way colony and her name was hillary as well... yeah...

Assuming any of the other 20-30 people left on the Normandy when it crashes are into Cortez.

Aha, there is another mod that fixes that   Alistair's dialogue is edited so he no longer refers to you as a female.  There's another that fixes the kissing scenes too. 

I tried very very briefly to start a game with a female Cousland warden on the 360 before buying the PC version because Alistair was worth it, but I didn't even make it to the attack on the castle.  I am the same, I have zero interest in playing a female character.  Alistair changed my way of thinking, up until playing DA:O I always thought it was a bit sad to like game, comic, anime whatever characters in that way.  How wrong I was.  Must be a BioWare thing.  I also played KOTOR after playing DA:O PC and I had a thing for Carth, maybe it was the voice   No idea if there are mods for that game as I didn't even think of looking.  I was tempted to do Morrigan's romance, I loved her character but with Alistair there, it will never happen.

Zevran didn't do too much for me in the begining because he was too girly for my tastes but I eneded up liking him quite a bit as a character.  The only thing that killed the story was him telling you about the great love of his life, a woman, and that he much prefers woman to men.   It made the relationship feel cheap and like he was just a wh0re or something.

I think BioWare did something really evil with Steve and Kaidan.  After all these years they gave us Kaidan but kept him from the first 15 hours of the game, letting people getting attached to Steve in his absense.

Did you have Javik in the final battle?  In my ending I had Kaidan and Garrus with Joker.  Kaidan was my LI and Kaidan and Garrus were with me in the final battle.  It's hard to know what determines who walks out of the Normandy but from what I have read on the forums, I am positive it always has the LI.  Not sure what determines the other character.  This puts ideas in my head about the "hallucination ending that will will be fixed with DLC" theory.  I just hope it doesn't mean they died and Shepard imagined them going to paradise.

I really wonder what determines the 3rd character. On mine it was Vega which I barely talked and always go with renegade options.

Also on playing female characters, I can easily play female characters if there is a f/f option in game.

Is there a paragon interrupt option for Udina scene? I didn't want to risk it and clicked for renegade interrupt on both times. However couldn't get last Paragon option on TIM conversation at the end. Tonight I am planing to start Matt Rogue Version (cloak+melee kills) and I wonder if I should take the risk this time.

Still blocked out with full paragon? I couldn't reach full paragon (several notches down) and have tiny bit of renegade. However iirc both renegade and paragon choices were available before that last option... can't be sure tho'. To be honest only thing on my mind on those scenes was "What happened to Kaidan? Is he alive?".

Yeah, Kaidan / Male Shep is official m/m romance. No big hoops to jump just be good to him and you'll be rewarded.

Not really what this thread is supposed to be all about, but I successfully managed to pull those off. I believe that to do it you have to both have a full bar (or very close) and have successfully executed the paragon or renegade persuasion options from every other conversation you have with him over the course of the game.

And, erm... for something on topic for the thread... I agree that I thought both of the M/M romance options for Shepard were very well done. Cortez is awesome, and I think they handled the frienship that is slowly becoming something more aspect of Shepard and Kaidan's relationship very believably.

I've installed the game on my Xbox hard drive to speed it up GREATLY and make the cut scenes run smoother, but I've noticed quite a few hiccups in the friendship/romance scenes. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems there are awkward hiccups in the friendship scenes where I'm guessing a romantic branch was taken out or the friendship was inserted, and a similar situation with the romantic scenes with o/s Ashley and my GF's s/s Kaidan. Steve's friendship scenes run smoothly until you get the club and it has two hiccups.

It can't tell you how much it irks me since it is apparent we're missing a line or two of dialog at these hiccups (the CC shows the missed dialog for a split second before it disappears).

Since I haven't tried ALL the romantic options (and probably never will), I was just curious what other players were encountering.

Yes I'm having the same problem it's doing it randomly within nearly every character dialog set I've tried. I didn't install the game on my Xbox Hard Drive so I don't think that is the issue. I have the Collector's Edition so I was wondering if it's a problem in this Edition or not. So far my Fem Shep/Liara relationship is fine but I am missing various pieces of dialog with her. My game is an import all the way through ME1 and 2 so Liara was my relationship all the way through.

Ahh, thanks for that, I was confussed.  I hoped it wasn't some ploy that was to be unlocked by DLC <_<

I had random bits of dialogue not being heard throughout the game and I have the CE.  I replayed the ending tonight and the cut scene after killing Kai Leng failed to start so I had to reload.  I have it installed.  One time I also got stuck between a Keeper and that female officer asking her superior to let her fight reapers instead of cerberus because her brother joined them.  Very very annoying.  No problems with Kaidan though thankfully and I hope Steve is the same.

I was searching for Steve's romance scenes on youtube, since my shepard is now comitted to Kaidan (again ) and I don't want to replay. Does anyone know if Steve has a full sex scene or is just the fade to black thing? I mean Samantha has the shower scene, it's weird that Cortez just has a fade to black...

Honestly I think that's better. The scenes look clumsy and I'm uncomfortable with how much of the target audience is made up of "omg moar sex pl0x" people. There are ways to do 'romance' scenes that aren't sex.

I think that it might be a case of, people having their male Shepard's ready for the Kaidan romance so BW are like; "If you're impatient to have a male same-sex romance we have this guy over here". Yeah, I think it might be fear that this character development for Steve might go to waste if Kaidan is there from the get go and stays beside you for the whole game.
