Having party chatter about Hawke's lovelife in DA2 is one of the reasons I wish they never took out the lift loading scenes from ME1.  That was the only time you ever had Dragon Age style party banter.

I knew I couldn't be the only one who missed the awkard elevator talks from ME1. "We changed the load screens because people didn't like it", probably just the FPS crowd; "Shepard can't shoot anything and I have to hear my squad mates talk, boo!"

Exactly. Also, Shepard makes a comment to Steve about trying it under the bed next time., if I recall correctly.

Ooooo... Interesting. Haven't heard that one yet! M.

Just finished the game. I liked the dark atmosphere of final scenes at the Citadel, but afterwards the scene with the "kid" and the epilogue irritate me.

That's not fair. The elevators were terrible, and it was terrible to confine banter to that mechanic, and I suspect the banter existed solely because the elevator rides were so useless and annoying (same reason they had the news).

ME2 sucked because they made it suck, not because they removed the elevators. ME3 sucks less because you at least get "auto-banter" on the missions that can involve all 3 members of the squad, but it still sucks that they didn't have more banter that was personal to Shepard instead of specific to the missions.

But the solution to that is not to have elevators. There's nothing trapping 3 people in a stupid elevator accomplishes over having a sane banter trigger system, which is what you really want. (And DA2 is not optimal either, because the triggers are static and not random and far too numerous.)

Hey, I spend the elevator rides staring at Shepard's and Kaidan's arse. And the loading screens on ME2 were ugly and painful to look at for me (I am prone to migranes, so the flashing colours of some load screens [not just ME2] are not "fun").

I usually spend them trying to make the characters look like they're holding hands by orienting the camera. I sometimes can get a halfway-convincing shot where it looks like all three are holding hands riding the elevator. You haven't lived until you've seen Shepard, Wrex, and Ashley, ascending slowly, hands locked together, avoiding looking at each other. :-)

Anyway, in addition to fixing the exasperating Normandy sequences at the end, I hope they do more relationship content in future DLC, but I know they won't (too many variables, and too many friends/LIs from previous games who get really no content in ME3 or simply die). I thought the friendships and romances, while generally well done, could have really used more content, especially in a game that's so damn depressing all the time.

Haha...I also missed the good ol' elevator chats...at one point I spent about 30 minutes going up and down, up and down, just to hear the banter...my squad must have thought that I was a 6 year old who liked pushing elevator buttons or had a fear of open spaces :P

I haven't done that exactly, but I have taken the long way round just to ride the maximum amount of elevator rides.

And BTW I love the news stories that you hear in them, just hearing about the results from the choices you made makes the environment more immersive. They also can provide you with missions, I always thought that was a cool way to get missions.

I have a question, I finished a
playthrough with 2025 efective war assets, and Kaidan died in the final
confrotation before the crucible. Why was he at the Normandy ALIVE and
smiling?? I saw his body!! Is it a bug or what?? Didn't want to send him
to that planet, but he went anyways...

Happy smiley Kaidan getting of the Normandy after what just happened to Shepard really irritated me when I finished it, but it was just one of many knives through my heart at the time.  It seems that the LI always gets off the Normandy, whether they were in the final battle or not.  Even Steve is on the Normandy if you romance him.  Nobody has figured out what determines the second character, I had Garrus which if what I am thinking about that particular scene turns out to be true, makes sense to me.  That is, if the "ending is a hallucination" theory is correct, I think the whole Normandy thing is Shepard having his LI and closest friend go off to "paradise" guided by Joker.  Maybe the final goodbye to each companion determines the other person with the LI, I have no clue but for me, Garrus was perfect.  I'm just glad BioWare didn't take that scene as a final opportunity so shove Liara onto my Shepard.

Now that's weird, if the ending was a hallucination, the reapers are still out there, that directly contradicts the closure they promised long ago, not only for Shepard/LI but for the war thing. I just don't know what to think anymore.
And besides, I just found out Kaidan does say "I love you" to a new femshep romance but not to maleshep (that's odd) don't get me wrong, I loved the romance and the untold but obvious feelings thing they have going on, even more than femshep's imported one. But if my shep dumped Miranda for him and then is gonna lose him forever (or so it seems) the least he could say is "I love you shepard" in the good bye scene.

Ah. Pretty typical of Bioware bisexual male love interests to prefer women. Alas.
I even noticed that Kaidan comments on EDI's sexy body while the M/M romance is active.

Shepard also made a remark about EDI's voice at the Cerberus base implying he thought it was sexy and that was with Kaidan sanding right beside him.  I didn't like that <_<

Hmm I am very okay with those two. I can comment on how sexy a lady looks or comment his lovely voice (like I always do for Claudia Black or Kylie Minogue) so it's normal. Some people are sexy beyond gender restrictions. Maybe real reason is I am agree with both comments and would say same thing. That doesn't mean I am digging those women. I never ever felt anything sexual towards a female in my life. Sexapeal is just a fact of life and matter of perception just like beauty.

Instead of starting another Matt run I decided to go with my renegade shep this time. As renegade options sounds not really renegade in ME3 I retconed my Shep. After Ash's injury he started to act more paragon. His talk with unconsious Ash  was kinda sweet and regretfull for all the **** he pulled at that point.

Do you need all those presents for Ash? My shep was feeling guilty as he acted like a jerk on Mars and Horizon, banging Jack, heavily flirting with Tali and Miranda and trying to nail everything bipedal so he bought everything on the stand  (nearly 10000 credits went to Ash). Now I wonder if he can rekindle his romance with her. On top of everything  he gave base to TIM by the end of ME2. I am hoping he can beg for forgiveness. That would teach him not to play with ladies' hearts.

Also this run will be interesting. Wrex, Mordin and Zaeed are dead. Morinth alive and send a mail to Shep (hope to see her on Thessia or Monastry). Grunt in his pod and Legion sold to Cerberus. Jack is also alive and hoping to hear her "you f**ked me" convo which she has depending on the posts I read on BSN.

We are on the same page with LI but I don't think second character is your best buddy. My Shep got James who he always renegaded and nearly never used as squadmate. I was hoping that would be Liara as I was also wondering how was she.

Hmm... maybe for gay Sheps it ends with all male crew walking out to fire your imagination about all male crew on a distant place without females... Posted Image

Ah! That makes sense.

So far handing base didn't have any impact on game other than a mention on first TIM convo.

It won't be where you (in a save that activated Legion) will be. Let's just say it will be something that will make you regret your choice to hand him over to TIMmy.

I never use the rapid transit. Not one single time.

I usually like to hear all the banter, but it can be tough to do given all the combinations and how long the elevators take. Even when some unlock later in the game, it can be a bother to remember to try to get them (and downright maddening when the elevators won't cooperate and play news instead).

These are handled much better in ME2 honestly. They had a ton of updates for a lot of your missions. And you could listen at your leisure.

ME3 is OK, but it can be tough to hear an entire report unless you're standing in a precise spot. Plus, it's not so entertaining when every story is "Death, death, and more death!"

This whole game has been 'I want that quoted' one after the other, personally. despite the emotional rollercoaster, I find myself laughing outright at a lot of what my team members and old friends say. And getting overly excited seeing cameos of old characters, even ones I hated.

And yes, that 'sorry, i tripped' line from Kaiden in the Monestary made me laugh out loud.

Still, i'm a little annoyed at how many times I've had people request me to invite them up to my room or do something at the citadel, but only got that one time with Kaiden. =T

Still, I've enjoyed the little commentary from Kaiden when I talk to him between missions. He's so cute, specially when he talks about how he can't stop grinning.

Still, knowing how the end is and how I don't plan to choose synthesis, I now feel bad for pushing EDI and Joker together. (wanted Joker to be happy for once)

Ah I remember something now. Did Miranda hit on anyone? I think she mentioned a possibility of being together but then went "But I guess it is too late now" probably hinting Matt's relationship with Kaidan. That made me smile. She is so awesome. Wish there was a chance to have a friendship talk with her just like I had with Liara.

I did the same thing in DAO.  I remember entering and leaving a house in the alley where you kill

Morrigan and some others.  Such awesome awesome dialogue.
