Yeah, but that's not what happened. Cerberus stormed the station with assault troops that knew she was there. From what she tells you if she survives, they went through the docks, dragged everyone out and lined them against a wall, and then searched for her. It's the false identity she sets up for herself that saves her, more than the fact she dyes her hair blonde and calls herself something else.

On another note: difficult decision is difficult.

I don't think Joker was cut down to nothing in ME3. He probably had the most dialogue out of all crew and squad mates. He was the only one that almost always had a normal cutscene conversation with you instead of the Zaeed-style everyone else had.

Playing through again, I can't help but fell it would have been better if James had not been a squad member.  In my opinion, he didn't really contribute much to my mShep story, I rarely used him, and would have preferred his talk scenes to be distributed amongst the others....especially Kaidan

....but thats just my opinion

For what it's worth I was able to create a modded import for FemShep on Xbox 360 who romanced Ashley in ME1. So far it has been working out pretty well. At one point I get Shelaloo voicing FemShep but after that the dialog is just silent. I'll let you know if I can complete the romance this way.

How did you manage that?  Is it done through the ME save editor or with a modded 360?  Do you know if Kaidan/mShep is possible through save edditing or mods?

I learned this from http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020

- Choose a career where you have not romanced anyone in ME2 (Kelly seems OK) since you can not change the ME2 romance flags.
- Go to system/storage and MOVE your save game to a USB stick (entire career) which was a little scary.  You can not copy it for some reason.
- Plug your stick into your PC (or Mac running parallels in my case)
- I used modio to open the stick. (http://www.game-tuts...hp?pageid=modio)
- take this time to click on show file (near the top by the file path) and back up your file
- I clicked on show files and chose the save I wanted to mod and right clicked to extract it to my PC
- I opened it in the modified gibbed save game editor (http://social.biowar...m/project/4373/)
- Make sure you edit the ME1 flags in both ME1 tabs.
- I removed Liara as my LI and set her romance progress to 0
- I set Ashley as my LI and set her romance progress to 6
- make sure that you have saved her on Vimire if not change it so you and and remove Kadien
- edit other options you want to change such as destroying heratics or saving Maelin's data
- save your file with a new number just for good measure
- go back to modio and go to the file list
- right click to inject your save back into the career file
- click on General File Info
- click Rehash & Resign
- then click save to device
- make sure you eject your device safely and then plug into your xbox
- now COPY your file back to your xbox.  Yes you can copy it back.
- import based on your new save entry and you should see your new choices in the import data

Note:  I did also make an import where my FemShep had romanced Kaiden and even one where the ME2 flags for Thane were set along with ME1:Ashley.  I haven't tried that one yet but it may also work.  I see no reason why you can't make a mShep Kaiden import but I can't say what will happen in game.

** UPDATE **

I have sucessfully complete this romance.  There is only one place where the gender flag is checked and that is when they meet at the cafe on the citadel.

To get past that do, make a save before you talk to Ashley.  Then do this same process but use gibbed's ME3 save game editor to change isFemale to false and go through this scene with what will look like a huskified FemShep model (this kind of adds to the charm in a way because of the sacrifice my FemShep had to endure to win the love of her life) and then once that scene is done edit the save to set isFemale back to true.  To be sure double check that AshleyTrueLove is now set to true but if you did the dialog and everythign right it should be.

Now you can finish the game and enjoy a beautiful SS romance with an occasional voice change (thankfully it isn't too bad) and silent dialog.

Ok, I had stopped checking out this topic because of spoilers.  Now that I've beaten the game, I would just like to know if Kaidan says any gender specific lines in his romance with male Shepard.  In my playthrough, all his lines were gender neutral.  Before I stopped checking out this topic, I ran across someone saying that he did have gender specific lines (or at least lines that acknowledge he's with another male).  I didn' come across any.

I hear that playing an unimported ME3 game will have Kaidan describe mShep as handsome (with an imported game, I think it's a "have you known me to be with anyone else?" line).

Boy. What a... um... selection of endings...

Yeah.

Anyway, admit it, who here chose an ending simply because you figured out (or learned through spoilers) how to be with your LI, and to hell with the rest of the galaxy? I'm going with the choices that fit the character of my Shepards, no matter the consequences.

As for the ending, I found it to be the exact opposite of the "choices" in Fable II. There the three options were absolutely meaningless, unless you really liked your dog. ME3's three choices were actually gut wrenching when I considered the ways it would hurt/destroy/help Earth and the allies, but the endings were just cosmetic in execution and we never get any idea how it "really" affected the friends and allies this series had gotten me to care about.

In short, daring yet disappointing.

There is no such ending.

Luckily, the only character I could take all the way to the end had no options. There was only one possibility.

If it had actually been possible to gather enough assets in single-player, that option would lead to the deep breath, true, but I already knew that there weren't sufficient assets. It was the right choice (for the character, and for me) regardless.

I'm not ashamed to say that I got confused what exactly I was supposed to do at the ending. It took me like a good 10 seconds to figure out I was supposed to pick a branch, and then another 10 seconds to try to recall which was which. (I didn't have enough assets to trigger the middle ending.)

Yeah, the ending made me stop and think, you could say. :-)

If only they could fix the bit about the Normandy... I can't tolerate that part of the ending. WHAT IS THIS?!

Jack romance+destroy ending w/shep living at the end is the only one I think unless Miri fights on earth as well (she was dead in my first playthrough)

any ways as for how I picked the ending... I thought they all sucked so i went with green since it was favorite colour >_>

The choices as described, not as presented (since the ending footage is 90% identical).

I noticed that after you beat the game it saves the moment right before the final mission, making it "easier" to make a different "choice." I wonder if Bioware will count the times we replay the three endings with the same character as "replays."

Question.

Does that make you able to romance Ash or Kaidan as the same-sex Shepard in ME1? Or does it simply confuse the game into thinking you did?

Lol, well if only there was an option with that outcome, it would have been harder to choose.  Although it took me a few seconds to get over the shock of what was unfolding on my screen, I had no trouble deciding in the end.  After everything Shepard and his crew have been through over the past five years?  No contest, Destroy everytime.  Even though spaceboy said Shepard would die it was the only choice for me.

Awesome, thank you so much for the detailed explanation.  I was always
curious about the Gibbed editor and if it would work for the modded
romances but never really looked into it.  Now I have one of my 360's
modded I am more interested in that kind of thing.  I still would like to know if the 360 version of ME1 has both sets of dialogue.  It seems like an awful waste of space if it does have them but I also think it would be weird if only the PC version had them as it was ported almost a year later.  What would be the point of adding them?  The 360 game is 6.6GB or so, if I remember correctly the PC version was 15GB or so installed so I have no idea.

I had a similar thought playing last night.  I was thinking that he really doesn't have much point because I don't feel he is fleshed out enough and Shepard barely speaks to him.  For a charater introduced in the last game of the series, I don't feel he is important at all.  After the opening of the game I can only remember using him a few times, especially after Kaidan returned because he always took up one spot and the other was usually Garrus with EDI and Liara on the odd occasion.  Maybe Vega is like Kaidan from ME1, only FemShep gets to know him properly.  Steve feels more important and fleshed out to me by far, which is fine by me.

This edits the past to give you an import that you want for ME3.

It is also possible to mess with the gender flag and get the actual Ashley romance in ME1.  I believe you have to sex change your femshep for some of the key romance scenes but then you can leave it.

Here is the info on doing it for the PC

http://modsreloaded....mance-t816.html

There is a gibbed save game editor for ME1 so if you can get the save files off the xbox using the USB/modio technique then you can probably mod the save for Xbox too.

I don't understand what you're talking about? Described by whom? Presented where? There is no ending where you can be with your LI, and there is no claim that such a thing is possible, is there?

I do admit that the left choice is one that could never be taken by any character I roleplay (even full-on renegade). So it's easier for me to pick between only two choices (or in this case, there really was no choice since the middle was "locked").

I see where you're coming from, but those Cerebus agents actually asked her if she was Kelly, as per an overheard conversation between NPCs. Why would they bother to ask her if they already knew? If they didn't know, why did she tell them? Perhaps more context is needed - were they threatening to just start shooting people if Kelly didn't give herself up? 'Cause that would make more sense to me.

I see more than that one plot hole with the scenario too, but I won't go into those here. (Hint: Kelly should have most likely died had she remained on the Citadel, no matter how cleverly she changed her identity.)

As for your difficult decision... Yes, it is. ;)

We shouldn't really insult the Stargazer. Hello real live astronaught. But yeah, you get it no matter what ending you choose, so it basically spitting in our face and saying that all the choices we have faced, that we made, meant jack s*** in the long run. Epic storytelling BioWare, uh, I mean epic fail BioWare.

I know what you mean but I am insulting the concept.  When I read who voiced the scene I thought it was a very nice touch.  Even if the acting wasn't up to much.  For BioWare to go with such a sh!tty over used cliche, it just baffles me.
