If he's gone by Act 2, then I never saw him unfortunately.  Sigh.

:/ I always talked to him as much as I could so yeah, I had the Citadel scenes before the Coup so I can't confirm if he actually disappears from the Citadel after the coup or not :/

I'm at work right now so I can't check, I just hope I haven't saved over those saves yet.

If you can't find people in Normandy or Citadel check your map. Important people are marked on your map, including your crew members on Citadel.

See that's the thing, after I told him to take some time off, I could have sworn I checked all over for him, including my maps.

They don't always appear on maps, sometimes it gets bugged (among 12837469234723 other bugs in ME3). So you could've missed him standing on the balcony :/ better to reload. ;P Or you could first reload a few saves and check at which point he "disappreaed"

Yeah, I just hope I haven't saved over that save yet.  I tend to save too much...

I blame Kaidan entirely for it, because I was so eager...

I'm still baffled as to why they needed the Lazarus Project beyond the dramatic impact of the first ten minutes of ME2 (which was admittedly amazing, at least the first time around) and a shift in the setting from 2183 to 2185. If it had some lasting impact on the game, or came up in ME3,

I kept waiting and waiting for some revelation that Cerberus did in fact insert some kind of control chip or something of the sort into Shep.  When Mirranda said "Sheaprd, there's something I have to tell you" I thought here we go, she's going to confess that Cerberus did something nasty to him but nope.  Then on the Cerberus base I expected something from the video logs but....nope.

Just incase you miss my edit. Here:

Edit: I don't think Steve romance is tied to specific events. If you have enough completeable (like entering a mission map and completing it, not a talkie or search/rescue) missions you can progress thru romance at any point. You need 3 missions at least. One after "take a break talk", one after "watch the ships" scene in Citadel, one after "memorial wall" to get his mail about meeting him at the bar. I am not sure if mail and spawning him in bar needs a mission in between.

Plus he didn't spawned in bar until I do one mission.

Okay, good to know!  Hopefully he'll still be there at the Citadel.  I just haven't had that scene with him watching the ships yet.

But I also think it may be a bit too late, because I remember searching the dock for Kaidan after the coup, and I do know for a fact that Steve wasn't there.  So.  8/

I did the same thing. So anticlimactic. I mean they hinted about it all over and then it was like "lolnope, don't even worry about it." Ah well.

But if they clarified it, then we have people saying; "that's not what happened in my head-conon" or stuff like that.

But I was expecting it to have some kind of bearing and impact on the story and on how the ending would play out.  When T.I.M arrived at the end for instance.

The Lazarus Project gives an excuse to upgrade Shepard so s/he basically becomes super soldier.
The transhuman angle is barely touched upon in the game, but makes Shepard being nearly unstoppable make more sense.

I still have it in my head, but I made myself feel better by roughing out a series of better endings.

Oh I have plenty of better endings in my head, but they haven't managed to erase the pain yet.  *sigh* I just should have stopped after I said goodbye to Kaidan and Garrus.  My perfect tragic ending in my head is Shepard dying by Anderson's side knowing he saved everybody.   Other happier endings exist with Kaidan and the crew, but I was so set up for a sad ending.   The sad tone and atmosphere of the game with short bursts of Kaidan happiness only enforced that idea in my mind.

My favourite ending that I created was "allowing the Reapers to contiue their cycle and becoming a Reaper yourself".

Yeah, do it because you have become indroctinated or just because you are just that big of an a***hole.

Edit: You could also have your LI survive.

Edit: Why is Liara nude and all the other women in their underwear in their sex scenes (even the shower one)? And a commentor on YouTube actually made a comment stating that; "if the writers gave the story half as much time as the artists gave Liara's nude skin texture we would have decent endings".

As I said to a friend of mine last night, BioWare has a serious hard-on for Liara.

I think the reason Liara got to be fully nude has more to do with the ESRB and other ratings bureaus than anything else. I guess showing a naked alien(who has all the same damn parts -_-) is less risque than an actual human. If they had shown like the Shep/Kaidan scene nude(even if all you saw were their butts) I'm almost certain it'd be AO. There's a huge stupid double standard when it comes to sex/violence in media, at least in the US which is the main audience sadly. Not to mention how homosexuality is supposedly soooo much more risque than heterosexuality too. <_<

That comment took me back to all the outrage about telling 4-5 yr olds about homosexuality that cropped up in Australia not that long ago.

Personally I admit it is a sensetive situation, especially from straight parents point of view. However trying to criticize m/m content in a game because your under age kid playing that game is another issue.

Maybe my problem is doubt. I doubt if they are telling the truth or not. If I should try to help parent or not. I don't know.

The whole "OMG! Their teaching 4-5 yr olds about gay sex" was kind-of treated as a bit of a joke by everyone but the newspapers, especially when it seemed to be a case of one teacher simply going: "you know how some people have a mummy and a daddy, and some people have just a mummy or just a daddy, well there are some people who have two mummies or two daddies". Probably said in an effort to stop bullying of rainbow kids before it became serious. I remember some of the hurtful comments hurled my way by other kids simply because I came from a single-parent family.

I picked Kaiden because I've always wanted him since ME1. But Steve's backstory is really heart-warming.

I, for one, didn't like the gay romance options, I especially didn't like how my heteroshep easily picked up Cortez. Since I was a paragon I was nice and conciliatory toward him, suddenly he starts making suggestive comments... I think I was in a half-and-half romance with him because when he crashes in London Shepard shouts hysterically "STEEEEEVVVEEEE", does he always do that?

I wish I could have romanced Grunt :(

Does anyone know the... mechanics behind Krogan intercourse? Also, I suppose that since they're reptilian they probably carry salmonella...

Sigh, the love that was never meant to be!

@Archeron Smith: My first Shepard was for Kaidan and barely talked to Steve because I was afraid of screwing something up. His last convo with him was the one in which he told him to have a break and get some air,he didn't even persuaded him with the "do it for me" line. I still got the Stevee! line, but he died, something that doesn't happen if you are friends with him.

Also, Steve doesn't give a hint of liking m!Shep sexually untill after he says the "I'm hurt why don't you look at me" line at de disco, even then, you can still tell him to be friends (if you are a teasing straight), and even while dancing with him, you can tell him he's a good friend or if you are already commited he says you are with someone else. Too many oportunities to say no,

There's no such a thing as half-and half romance like in ME or ME2, you flirt or not, you can commit and flag the romance or not.
