Absolutely, shows like "Number 96" are a perfect example of how English out television was back then.  It's a shame we aren't still influenced by English stuff.

Following along with that line of thought, if the human female is not heterosexual, then the relationship counts as same sex - because the only race that it counts for, the only race that actually has more than one biological sex, the human, thinks it is.

The way you're thinking of it devSin, is you're completely invalidating the non-Asari's sexuality. It's a bit like saying to a bisexual woman involved with a man that she's straight because she's involved with a man.

The Asari probably have very complex sexuality as well, given the problems that Asari/Asari couples have, but that's another story for another time (and is another thing I don't think the developers/world builders really put too much thought into - I mean, what did the Asari do before they met other species? Were there less Ardat Yakshi offspring (I know I didn't spell that right... But I'm in too much of a hurry to go look it up right now) in the past?)

That's not it at all. The human soldier is lesbian, bisexual, or some other classification that we cannot know because we do not live in a world where there are aliens.

What I was saying is that when I see the human female and asari couple, I don't think "there's a nice lesbian couple". I think there's a human and asari couple.

If I saw two males or females of any other species as a couple, I'd identify that as a gay or lesbian couple. But the asari throw off my sexuality indicators. I don't think that it's impossible a human female who was in a relationship with an asari could never be in a relationship with a female of any other species.

I know it isn't fair to the asari or to those two couples on the Citadel, but I would have much rather seen same-sex pairings of any other species, instead of just the asari (for the umpteenth time).

Multiplayer is very addictive, chaotic and fun though...does ease the pain..

MP is starting to ruin the main game for me.  As much as I want to continue the Cortez playthrough, I keep thinking of all the pain I have to go through again.  For instance, I am almost at the end of the Krogan/Salarian/Turian story which means..... Mordin's singing death again   On the otherhand if I play multi-player, I know I only have to look forward to lots and lots of fun

Lol, that does suck indeed.  Can you edit the save file to change to a male and erase the romances?

If you go back about 10 pages or so, you should see a post that leads to a guide to editing ME2 saves if you need help.

My shep had a really great moment with kaidan at the end and to have it thrown anyway on that asari.... I like her character a lot... I just don't want her like that!

I think there's some confusion here, wasn't the poster above talking about Liara appearing for a "romance" scene before the Cerberus base?

Not the flashback in the final 'decision'.

That should still be Kaidan, as far as I know.

Once you get a romance, you're locked into it. If you hooked up with Kaidan during the date, you get Kaidan, no matter what anybody else says during the game (although, if anybody is going to violate that rule, it'd be Liara).

Liara still likes you and cares about, and she'll continue to talk to you at points during the game, but Kaidan is your boyfriend all the way to the end.

Going through my second play through and I just can't bring myself to romancing Cortez. He seems like a cool guy and all but... he's just not attractive. (Perhaps mods can take care of this later.) It's gonna have to be Kaidan again.

I'm sure there are some that would see a crying man and go for it... but  I didn't have another convo after that.

Cortez is weak?

I AM playing a different game. I don't think Cortez is stereotypical. He's just a nice guy. Straight guys cry and grieve too, I don't think every gay character in a movie or show has to be some kind of stoic stone cold counterstereotype in order to avoid stereotyping. Cortez is a good guy, even James says so.

I thought he came across quite well. He makes a solid friend, and a good man, from what I could tell.

Guy or girl, someone crying is going to have a big empty circle around his or herself unless they already know him.

They person that approaches him and wants to start digging into his personal life seems like more like a predator than a romantic interest.

Unfortunately, 1 game just wasn't enough to develop a relationship before the emotional crisis then into the romance.

I don't know about you, but if I see someone crying, my first instinct isn't to walk away, it's to see if I can help. You never know if something you could say in those moments could really help them. I can't imagine just walking away from someone who is clearly hurting.
