Lol, no worries, I just thought I'd try it seeing as a previously dead USB drive decided to work after reading your post (thought it must have been a sign).  I can see where it says "gender" but it only has a weird circle and + sign rather than the numbers so it is coming up as code rather than proper script. 

Off topic, eww, FemShep is kinda ugly, I can see what an improvment the new version is.

Ok, I've tried the first Kaidan dialogue at the hospital.
Renegade Sheploo, bought him the gift, I've pretty much always choose the "nice" answer when talking to him, I broke up with Liara the first chance I got on the ship saying I want to be just friends.
When asked about his biotics, Shepard said the usual "Or maybe you just got better" but Kaidan answered with the "More exprienced, yeah, maybe" line.
Probably it's because I'm renegade I'm a bit sad but I will look forward then to the rest of the romance then.

I posted detailed instructions earlier in this thread. I was able to mod a me1/2 import by changing plot flags to get ash and femshep. It worked up until the citadel meeting. To get by that I needed to sex change shep by setting isFemale to false and running through that scene as huskified
Looking fem/male shep hybrid that has shepaloo's voice. I changed her back after that scene.I am an hour of gameplay away from the big moment. I'll let you know if I can have the love scene without having to change sex for the big moment.

This is very possible. I did the exact same thing, except buy the gift, but he never expressed anything but friendship towards me and this was on my very renegade playthrough. Has anyone successfully romanced him as renegade m!shep?

I did.. but he didn't show any interest at all until the dinner scene. I missed out on a lot of the fun flirting lines:unsure:

But we still hit it off eventually, Kaidan can't resist the bad boys

Anyone else agrees we should start discussing gay romances (and gay/bi characters) in the threads of respective characters? I noticed that most people discuss Steve and his romance here and not in his thread, same with Kaidan's gay romance (people seem hesitant to do it in Kaidan's thread, let alone post pics of mShep & Kaidan there). It's just that, I think now that these romances are finally here, canon and everything, we don't have to "restict" ourselves to 1 "collective" thread. If I may sense and you get what I'm trying to say Ahh will just try to lure you guys in to Steve & Kaidan's threads but posting m/m pics and gifs there

But that was editing ME2 to make it think you romanced in the first game or am I wrong?  Did you find an actual ME1 save editor as well?

Only a few times but it doesn't matter, nobody can riot now since mShep/Kaidan is 100% canon and official now

Yeah, I've been mulling over this thread for a while. Given that we know all the respective s/s LIs now, and its place in the game, this is perhaps a little redundant.

That being said though, it's definitely a good place to keep open if the m/f Kaidan and Ashley people would protest against talking about actual/hypothetical s/s stuff in those threads. Also, given how different the s/s arcs are for Kaidan compared to the ME-imported counterpart, it's a little hard to compare the two. 

Plus, this is always a good place to discuss same-sex romances in Mass Effect generally, without having to make the topic about particular characters.

I'd be interested to see what happens with DLC, for example, especially if anything to do with the endings is impacted.

That was only one person (I'm not even sure it was a girl?) as far as I can remember, and they went completely insane in about four threads then combusted in craziness and disappeared from the forum. 

The issue of having all the Kaidan fans in one thread would just be about logistics, I'd guess, and posting pictures that either side might find discomforting. Plus you'd never be sure which gender people were talking about if they mentioned Shepard

Also unless I'm mistaken the o/s Kaidan fans vastly outnumber the s/s ones, at least on this forum.

IS - you know the reason I left the Kaidan thread a few months ago but I've noticed that the people responsible for the behavior in question have pretty much disappeared.  Did something happen?

Last time I will post about the 360 save modding:

I looked at the file again by comparing one of my regular saves and the femShep one and saw something at the bottom of the .sav file On the regular file it "John00" and preceding it was a Male symbol. For the fmShep, of course, a Female symbol. Not sure if that is the only thing that determines the sex of the character or not though. I copy and pasted the male symbol over the female one but all that did was make my 360 freeze when I tried to load it. I think it needs to be edited with a hex editor. That is over my head so I can't try it.

I don't want to look at pictures or read about scenes and lines that are said until I finish it so I think I will avoid the Cortez thread.  The way I am going it will take me a year to finish the second game, just can't motivate myself to play it and MP is so fun.

I love both the Kaidan and S/S threads, but I just like posting here. We were so on-edge about Kaidan being potentially S/S that when it was finally confirmed, this thread exploded... I like posting here to be reminded of that LOL.

Oh my gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's trying this... for the past few days I've been trying to get a S/S Kaidan and Man!Shep romance on the 360, to no avail.  I actually have the PC save files from lasangreal in the links he provided in the description for this video (link: ) but for the life of me I cannot figure out a way to convert the .MassEffectSave file extension to the one the XBox 360 uses.

I can always do Mass Effect 2 saves, but that defeats the whole purpose of me wanting to play ME1 as GayShep. :[

I'll try the method you listed to see if I get any different results.  But if anyone here has tips on how to get s/s Kaidan on Xbox, please share!

Haha, now that's an image.  I remember one tool in here after the leaks said Kaidan was available posting crap and saying "ewww" to Kaidan/mShep drawings etc but that's it.  I avoided the Kaidan thread apart from when my curiosity got the better of me due to some sh!tstorm in there, again when the leaks happened.

While it doesn't count for Cortez, I like this thread for Kaidan stuff becasue it is only about the s/s side.

just pitching in as a female player who plays as male Shepard and is a HUGE supporter of the mShep/Kaidan romance
and I also like mHawke/Anders

I'm just glad that I get to romance the characters I want to romance and it doesn't affect my choice of gender for the player character

I was googling and found two things that might help, for those of us who want to try an S/S romance with Kaidan or Ashley on ME1 on the XBox 360:

Anxious to try these out! Only downside is that you have to use the default Sheploo face. I'm not complaining too much though, because you can change your Shep's face in ME2 anyway.

I tried to romance kaidan as a renegade but he didn't show any interest in me. even during the date scene. shepard just said they are like bros. that's stupid, because I wanted to play as a renegade shep. does somebody know if there is a moment where you have to take the paragon choice to start or activate the romance? I don't want to choose the upper choice all the time, just to make sure, that they'll be together. maybe there's only one line where I really have to choose it. would be good to know this. hopefully somebody can help me.
