If you keep hitting on Kelly in ME2 you will have the option to romance her AFTER BEATING THE GAME if you are not romancing anyone else. She will send you an email to the computer asking to come and visit. Hope you dig exotic dancers.

Once she is your girl import your ME2 save and you just keep visiting the refugees in ME ever time you visit the Citadel and find her and talk to her. If you do not talk to her before Cerberus invades it will be too late and they will kill her. Make sure you tell the idiot to change her name so the Cerberus agents cannot find her when they come looking.

I did not do this myself but other fans have posted this information and they are all pretty consistent.

Thanks for the info, Chun Hei. ^_^ I wasn't sure whether or not the whole dance nonsense really mattered, because I had heard there was no flag for it. I skipped it because while I liked Kelly, I just thought it was a bit trashy and didn't want a part of it. And if it took place after the Collector Base, wouldn't it not be signaled in the Final Save? Ah well, not too torn up over it. :)

I did make sure to tell her to change her identity. Definitely lol-worthy that she would actually tell Cerberus that it was her when they asked. It's an awful thing to imagine, but it just seems so comical.

Kelly's 'romance' is one of the creepiest things in ME2...even worse than the "I just want to talk to you bit" for Jacob. And that is saying something because Shep's line when talking to Jacob is enough to make me want to hate him, and I am one of the few people who likes the character...

I have a question for anyone who's done Renegade Shep and still romanced Kaidan. I've done mostly Paragon stuff with him, being nice on Mars and bringing him the bottle of liquor, but when he said "Are we good" in the second hospital scene when he's awake, I said choose the renegade "Yeah, for now" option. I noticed that doing that instead of the paragon choice made the next set of dialogues (when you ask about his biotics) play differently, and he didn't say "Are you flirting with me, Commander?" I liked that, 'cause it will make the scene in Apollo's Cafe have more meaning to me, since that was the first real admission that he liked my ManShep.
So my question: will the romance still trigger later on if I don't pick the option that makes him say "Are you flirting with me?" I'd like to play hard to get a bit ... ;) Any input is appreciated!

he always says "are you flirting with me commander" even if you choose the renegade option. I've tried it a few minutes ago. but he won't say it, if you ask him about his biotics before you mention the events on horizon with the dialog wheel. I missed that investigate dialog completely, and the romance still worked. so I think it's possible.... even with the renegade option.
just make sure to ask him about his biotics before you choose the horizon and family option on the wheel and he won't say the flirting line.

Odd. I imported my ME1 Shep and I was paragon to him the entire series, even on Mars.
I saved before I talked to Kaidan. After I gave him the whiskey, I chose the renegade "We're good, for now" option.
However, the first option I picked was "How are your biotics?" and he STILL gave me the "are you flirting with me commander?" line.
I honestly think there is some trust level that is calculated for the VS throughout the entirety of the series.

hm I don't know. I imported my mass effect 2 full paragon playthrough and haven't romanced anyone in the previous games. I was a paragon in mass effect 3 and then tried to speak with him in the hospital. in my playthrough he just said the "are you flirting with me" line after I chose the horizon and family dialog option. I tried it the other way around but then he just said "I'm maybe more experienced" or something like this. it was always the same, no matter if I chose the renegade "yeah for now " option before. it's quite mysterious.

Maybe it's the whisky.

EDIT: I've tried it. it is the whisky. If you give him the whisky your trust level is high enough, so he'll always say the flirting line, even if you don't talk to him about horizon and his family. but you still have to choose the paragon choice on the mars mission when shepard and alenko talk about cerberus. I did the same but chose the renegade option on mars and that didn't work.

choosing paragon choice on mars activates the romance, but without the whisky, you have to talk about his past and the things happening on horizon. otherwise, there'll be no romance, I think.

Oh, word to all of that.  It was a shame too, since I thought Kelly was really sweet and genuinely cared about Shep.  Jacob was great (in ME2...) and I am still mad at whoever directed Hale's VO for those sections.  I really liked him, but felt like the game was almost railroading me into persuing him so I never did.  Given what happened in ME3, I am VERY happy that I didn't.

I need to take some Sam/Shep screencaps to make the thread a bit prettier.  Posted Image

Also, did anyone see the modded FemShep/Ash love scene?  If you ever wanted Ash to eat your Shep's nose...  www.youtube.com/watch

I never found any guides to getting a Kaidan/mShep romance in ME to work - afaik people never worked out how to do it, or the hex editing was too complicated.

Weeeell, on a scale of 1 to 10 it's probably around 7-8 in terms of difficulty to the casual, non-computer-tech-y fan, but it's quite doable. Annoying, though. Being called "Sir" all game long as femShep feels pretty natural and you don't even notice (for the f/f Ashmance), but being called "Ma'am" as dudeShep by everyone... especially Kaidan... is pretty immersion-breaking.

Not much need though if his ME3mance is as well done as y'all convey. Especially if it's as awkward in ME3 as the imported modded Ashmance has been ("it's always been you" would be such an amazingly powerful line, if only i could actually hear it...)

so i saw the sam shower scene on youtube and um...wow that was... bad... like it was designed for teenage boys

plus undies in the shower was just as awkward if not more so than DAO's undie sex (I feel bad for the women since its harder to hide a bra than a mans underwear... and bioware would never pull a witcher 2 with its full frontal)

Well on the topic of Sammance...I do love her final convo before the Earth mission, shame I have to head canon enough dates to make it make sense, but Sam is still a great character.

...and let's not forget the pre-Ilos scene when you finally get busy with Kaidan only to discover that your MShep now has impossibly smooth, silky skin and has sprouted bodacious ta-tas.

I'm still picking up the pieces of immersion. Posted Image

 It's a little more subtle with femShep/Ash but one does tend to wonder when one's shoulders got so terribly broad...

Yeah, gotta love how it goes straight from one shower scene to wanting 2 kids and the picket fence.  Maybe they'll take pity on Sammancers and throw a date scene in with some future DLC or something...along with Ash. </delusional thinking>

A few kinda bland screenies.  Wish they'd smiled a bit more.  The best stuff is at the very end of the game which I don't know if I'll have the energy to re-do soon.  Guess the hidden blessing of Sam not having a scene at that final comlink is that we don't have to play all the way through those fights to see her last scene.

Heh yeah. Sadly it seems in my opinion Sam's romance has less kodak moments in the cinematics than like Kaidans. No great kiss scene for one, not even really fingers entwining all that much! It's like I was looking through my screenshots but the one I posted is the only one I really like. >.>;

it's still totally worth it if you ask me
and I just talked to Harkin, the 'call me princess one more time' line is just priceless, especially because you get the female animations
also Harkin wanting Shepard to sit on his lap because he thinks the armor suits Shep ...
poor Harkin, no one ever equested a Harkmance for ME3 :o

Aw, now I can't stop thinking of cute Shenko moments in a, "Make it a Kodak moment" ad.  Then I get jealous, lol.  I was hard pressed to even come up with the shots I posted.  Nothing was really great, visually.  At least we did get 'dat voice.  Posted Image

Indeed. People think Fenris's voice is sexy?! Think again! Hale and Regan hit it out of the park in that last scene, adding great depths to their feelings that the game itself kinda glosses over. *Sigh* At least I guess it is a positive that they got amazing chemistry from them.

Hmmmmm ...  I'm not sure about that.  I chose Paragon options on Mars, always.  Then I gave him the whisky, but chose Renegade options on the "Are we good" question; then came back to talk to him afterwards and asked about his biotics before Horizon and I got what a great soldier he is after the "better with age" comment, not the flirt comment.  So that didn't happen the same for me.  I wonder if my romance is fubar'd now?

Completed story earlier so I can finally come back to the forums!

When I first started ME3, I did a new game and got Sam's cabin scene (hehehehehheheheee.) at which point I was fed up of missing the old character cameos so I left that file and imported my ME1/ME2 Shepard who romanced Liara and continued that in ME3. So much love!! There were so many cute moments between Liara and my FemShep!

Anyways guys at the end how the hell do you know which thing is which for the ending you want? I did the wrong one. Was I supposed to watch the scene before it? Cos I had the football on

Going to finish my Sam romance file next and then start a male shep.

the Mshep version had him telling my shep he would be a good dad I mean seriously if the game ended with that scene(and the crucibal making the reapers die with some DAO epilogue cards) it would have been alot better

I don't know. Why is what kind of parent you'll make more important than what kind of person you'll be?

Seriously, I don't understand. Babies and kids are not everyone's ultimate goal, and it just makes me grind my teeth every time they are mentioned in a romance. (ETA: Or not in a romance, as it is in this case... *bangs head against wall* should have made that clear...)

I pretty much hate children, but Anderson's line is incredibly moving to me. It is more the feeling espoused. I dunno, it really affected me, even if myself and Picard take the same stance at children. (Oh what's that? Is that you civilization dying you stupid kid? It's your fault for being a stupid kid!)
