I just beat the game with gay Kaidan LI and I still black out when I try to remember what happens after I blow TIM's brains out. I am so disappointed since I somehow managed to forget the greatest gay wedding in science fiction history.
Here's a repost of commissioned artwork for me done by Aimo Ahmed for you, Chun Hei, Notice the wedding bands Enjoy! (apologies for the repost to those who have seen it already)
The extended Anderson lines with FemShep made me shed a few more man tears for a few reasons over ManShep's:
1. Hale's voice acting delivered a performance a few notches above Meer's, but Meer's was the best I've heard from him in the series.
2. Mothers. When Anderson said Shepard would make an amazing mom... it made me think of my own. Then I think of Shepard again and realize she's not going to make it. Made me even sadder. :[

Love that picture. It's funny that Vega looks very similar to the design for his upcoming anime too. Unlike 95% of modern anime or anime for the past 10 years for that matter, I really like the design. So could this be a hint about that rumoured LI DLC? Heh, yea right.
the Mshep version had him telling my shep he would be a good dad I mean seriously if the game ended with that scene(and the crucibal making the reapers die with some DAO epilogue cards) it would have been alot better
I don't know. Why is what kind of parent you'll make more important than what kind of person you'll be?
Seriously, I don't understand. Babies and kids are not everyone's ultimate goal, and it just makes me grind my teeth every time they are mentioned in a romance.
I pretty much hate children, but Anderson's line is incredibly moving to me. It is more the feeling espoused. I dunno, it really affected me, even if myself and Picard take the same stance at children. (Oh what's that? Is that you civilization dying you stupid kid? It's your fault for being a stupid kid!)
The feeling being espoused could easily have been worded another way, without relegating Shepard to the position of parent. (It's especially troubling when it comes to fem!Shepard, but I just want to be clear that I am aware that Sheploo is also told he'd be a great father - so this isn't really an issue of sexism, at least not if you take it out of the context of how women have been portrayed in the past (and still are, to a certain extent).)
I just successfully completed a modded FemShep and Ashley romance. Thankfully I did not have to gender change for the payoff scene. There was a little bit of Shepaloo voicing but that was only near the beginning of the scene.
Ok so it ain't perfect but at least Aurellia Shepard found love with Ashley:) She had to allow herself to become mutated and temporarily husk-like
Now onwards to my meeting with destiny (Marauder Shields!)

because it was incredibly moving and touching scene and I cant *stand* children IRL (also well written)
him telling me that despite some of the horrible things I have done if I ever had kids they would be able to be proud of me was just tear jerking
then I get to the part past said scene and remember why I hate kids again (just done my second playthrough... stopped before I even got to marauder shields because a banshee OHKOed me in the fight before the charge)

Good ol' Marauder Shields....he killed me the first time I reached that scene as I was a little angry at being hit by the beam....I so dodge rolled out of it. In hindsight I wish I never did get past him R.I.P brave soldier Marauder Shields.
About the part you would make a great mum/dad line Anderson gives you. Kind of made me think of something about Thane said in ME2 about how as an he was trained for only one thing, and that was to kill and how could he be a good father to his son. Shepard has been in the miltary since s/he was 18, doing nothing but killing others for half his/her life. The face that Anderson, the man I veiw as Shepard's mentor tells Shepard basically you can be more than some killing machine for the government, is something I find powerful.
And after the Reapers are through all humans will probably need to have lots of human babies to keep ourselves from going extinct.
OK, I have successfully edited my save so the game thinks my male Shepard is female. I did this with default Shep but I *think* it will work with custom as well because it does on the PC version.
Kaidan and Ashley are referring to me as "ma'am", I saved Kaidan from the beacon and he was in the conversation when Shepard woke up, giving lovey dovey smiles to Shepard when I used the paragon options. It's been all Meer's voice with the exception of the beacon scene, Hale's voice played during that cut scene. Does anyone know if that happens on the PC or are all lines voiced by Meer?
I had the conversation with Kaidan following waking up chat with Anderson and Chakwas and everything said was the same as this video , with the exception of when Kaidan asked about Shepard's family, it was all voiced by Meer but I have no idea if there is anything specific to femShep in that scene or not.
Looking at youtube I see that the conversation after the council meeting when you are first back on the Normandy seems to have gender specific dialogue which is of course all voiced by Meer in the PC version. I am going to play a bit more later and hope that I hear Meer's voice during that talk instead of Hale's.
If anyone knows of anything else I should look out for which is femShep specific that would be great. I am dying to know if both sets of voices exist on the 360 or not.

Now to have one of my other gay Shepards make Cortez cry some tears of joy.
chunheichunheichunhei !
Ah, okay. NOW I get it. She PMed me a couple of days ago saying that BioWare killed her in ME3 and I had no idea what she was talking about. I assumed she had found a "bad" ending where she died like you could in ME2. Not that any of the endings in ME3 were "good"...
So I finally finished it. Damn but I hate the ending. (I chose destroy, and survived that choice - or at least that was strongly implied.)
Anyway. The Liaramance was sweet and touching, and at least in that Bioware did well. (:wub:Liara!)
I hope they do something to fix the ending.
(Time for me to start working on a Samancer playthrough... Not sure if I have the heart to do it, though.)
They did everything so goddamn well which is what makes the ending 1000% worse.
Well..on reflection some parts of the ending sequence are dodgy at best, (none of it really references what you did or has big payoffs for the assets you gathered, but that isn't bad per say, just a really big missed opportunity. I wanted to see elcor's just smashing everything damn. )
Nothing excuses that damned kid though. /Nothing/. And not just Star Baby, any time that little **** shows up on camera I just wanna stab whoever thought it would be emotionally moving. I guess it was but I doubt rage and mockery were the emotions it was intended to produce.

The beacon cutscene and the cutscene in the very endgame where they blow out the elevator window to walk up the side of the citadel both use the same flag for gender that the romances use, so you'll get the o/s Shepard voiceover for both of those. All other lines should be by Meer for you. (PC was a port of the xbox game so it'd be beyond baffling if we had content you didn't.)
Still working my way through my modded Ash file. Think I'll try importing my Mirandamancing femShep next. Anyone know if disruptor ammo counts for the Overload achievement?
So, (sure this question has been asked a bunch) what are the requirements for locking yourself out of a romance with Kaidan? I'm sure I didn't choose all renegade options with him at the beginning of the game, but I know I chose some. I didn't get the flirtation line at the hospital. I just had the presidium conversation with him and couldn't initiate the romance. Not a big deal; I was planning on getting with Cortez this playthrough (this was before Shepard and Cortez went dancing, though). I also haven't had a conversation with Liara on the Citadel post-coup attempt. Was I somehow too much of a dick to her earlier, or does that conversation come later, anyway?

I have completed the Ashley romance with FemShep on xbox 360 with a modded import file. There is only one place that I had to change the isFemale flag to false. Once AshleyTrueLove is set you are clear for the rest of the game.
I imagine that Kaiden should work the same for Shepaloo if you want the continuation romance.
btw not sure about the XBox version, but on PC you're not restricted to Sheploo or default femShep for that matter. Once you know how to do the gender change at all, it's fairly simply to use a custom Shepard - granted you need some extra time

Because the PC version is a port, that made me more curious about the voice files on the 360 version. On one hand, to have a bunch of unneeded rubbish voice files cluttering up the rather small amout of space a 360 disc could hold at the time seems stupid but on the other, what would be the point of the porting team (which was not BioWare, well I don't think so, there was another companies name on the title screen) adding those files to the PC version? It really confused me. But I am glad to know the PC version acts the same way in that scene.
I am wondering if I use a ME1>ME2 save file to start ME3 having romanced Kaidan, I'm guessing he refers to Shepard as a woman. The female Shep lines are not voiced right? It's just subtitles?
Thank goodness I have a reason to replay ME1&2 again. After finishing ME3 I didn't think I'd be able to play them ever again.
I thought it felt weird playing ME2 after 3 but going from 3 to 1 is very very weird. I'll have to get used to it again. It was only in Jan that I finished my second run with no romances for ME3 but it feels like so long ago now.

Sorry to ask again but I was never clear on some points. You played ME1 romancing Ashley? I wasn't sure if you modded an ME2 file to make ME3 think you romanced her or if you played through ME1&2 in full. As I said a bit back, I could not find an ME1 save editor, only ME2 and it does not work with 360 ME1 saves. I achieved it by ripping the files from within the save (player.sav, state.sav, WorldSavePackage.sav) and used a hex editor to change the way the other characters in the game see Shepard. Sorry to ask again.
