What do you think will happen in ME3 if you left Grunt in the tank and Legion on the table in ME2?

Because EDI said the tank can supply him for like a year and since Reapers show up in a month or so I think we will have time to "birth him again" and with all those Reapers to kill he will definetly be focused.

Legion if you leave him on the table and dont activate him all the Heretic Geth will corrupt Legions "good" geth making all of them Heretic Reaper worshiping Geth. Thus the only way to get Quarians loyalty will be to somehow take back there homeworld from all Geth. This will make Legion the last free thinking geth in the Galaxy.

But who knows maybe the Alliance will take them off Normandy or not at beginning of ME3.

Or the plot Flags will classify them as alive which will make them be already awakened and talk to Shephard as if they know him/her.

The reapers show up 6-8 months after Arrival, and Arrival is a few months after ME2's ending, so Grunt will most likely be dead. Legion will most likely be used against you by Cerberus to control the Geth.

So, if Legion "dies," who's going to help you on that Reaper base mission that we saw?

I don't know, but I like the idea.

Time to plan a total screwup ME1-2 playthrough.

Honestly, I'm predicting that if Grunt doesn't rejoin permanently he's going to be serving under either Wrex or Wreav regardless, the insinuation being that he underwent the Rite of Passage at a latter point in the timeline than the events of ME2 portray.

And then I predict a bunch of screaming and name-calling on the forums because of the "illusion of choice" there.

I see. I thought it would of been cool to see Grunt being more relentless and out of control.

Oh, it would be marvelous, and I'm not saying it isn't a possibility. Anything's a possibility, of course. I'm just throwing in my estimates.

I sincerely doubt they'll still be on the ship if you didn't activate/birth them. If you left Grunt in the tank he'll probably be treated as dead, if Legion was sold to Cerberus he might well be used by Cerberus. I think not completing Loyalty missions will have an impact for just about everyone, especially the ones with big choices (namely Legion). However, I remain somewhat sceptical... I think I'm overestimating the impact Bioware can produce...

When I was learning Grunt's story, I thought he was the key to the future of the Krogan race. Now through the demo shown at E3, we now know there is a fertile female krogan that might be a playable squadmate. I was wondering if you were to kill Wrex in ME1 and not activate or kill Grunt in ME2 if the Krogans would die, but those decisions seem to not matter regardless of how you choose.

If you leave Legion alone the Geth become BFF with the Reapers.

With Grunt well if you killed Wrex on Virmire you need a krogan spokesperson or they won't listen to you (and not help you against the Reapers).

Grunt is still in the tank so you can wake him up on a later date.
Legion never told Shepard about the virus and he never did anything about it = all geth hostile in ME3.

if grunt did not pass the rite and tried to pass with out shep wrex nor wreav would allow it.. since the reason he undergoes the rite is because of shep's approval and the thing about grunt having a year in the tank is IF the ship suffered a total power loss.. there for the 1 year only thing is only valid if he is set in a place without supervision.. and EDI keeps an "eye" on him!.. Legion would have been "arrested" or destroyed by the alliance so you better utrn him on!

The Alliance probably killed them when they seized the Normandy. Or at least handed them over to scientists for study.

I'd rather that Grunt ends up working with the Blood Pack or joins one of Urdnot's rival clans if he doesn't undergo the right of passage in ME2.

Actually, I'd love it if he became a minor antagonist, working against Shepard in ME3, if the player skipped his loyalty mission. Maybe he's a default boss, and Shepard can persuade him to back off (probably by letting him know how much of a tool he's become).

Or maybe he'll wind up roaming Tuchanka, immune to indoctrination, and when we find him we can either leave him to wander or take him back to Clan Urdnot (recruiting him to fight for Urdnot)?

I actually have a feeling this won't be touched on at all...

I'd be pretty curious as to what Cerberus would have done and/or learned from Legion if you gave it to them as Miranda suggests. Maybe the Cerberus goons we face in 3 have some neat tech upgrades or something if you did this, IDK.

Someone beat you to it. Search for worse ME2 playthtorugh or import. THe player went through ME1 and ME2 making the worse possible decisions to import into ME3. They even have a guide to show how they did it.

i think they simply dont show up in the story. grunt becomes a disgusting mushy soup in his tank, and legion has been deactivated too long after taking damage.

This. They'll be taken off the Normandy by the Alliance during the refitting, after which we'll hear nothing more of them. Hell, it will probably even remain unsaid.

LotSB seems to indicate something will come of handling Legion over to Cerberus. I doubt it will bring about any big changes, though, as Overlord will be more than enough to gain control over the geth.

I don't agree Legion would be the only free thinking geth. It says many times they are one and the same. Unless Legion purposefully cut all contact with all geth which may not be possible then it would be overwritten as well. Legion has almost 1000 platforms within it and it might take just one to agree and bye bye Legion.
