It turned out a lot better than I expected considering the game play footage I saw. The mechanics and graphics are behind ME1 standards, but I think it runs far better than DA:O. They got a lot of the party banter right, as everyone engages in conversations in the party camp. Also if you're truly interested in Chinese and Japanese feudalistic era culture, you'll feel at home in this game. Also the soundtrack is superb, done by the same guy who scored ME2, Jack Wall.
Hmm... you've piqued my curiosity. I will see if I can find a used copy of Jade Empire. Re-playing Mass Effect 1 is a good idea, but I still have some side-quests to finish in ME2 like the Shadowbroker and Samara's loyalty quest.
By the way, I 've been wondering if Jack minds "sharing" Shepard with other characters. I've noticed that you can make out with Liara after finishing the Shadowbroker and yet still invite Jack in your cabin afterwards. Tali stresses that she doesn't want to share you and that if you want to pursue her you have to end it with Jack first. Is Jack oblivious to all of this going on, or will this bite me in the ass once I play the next game?
... I also couldn't help flirting with Kelly to get her to feed my fish. I feel so guilty, lol!
Its like 15 bucks on Xbox live, and I got a copy for pc for 4 bucks off of Amazon, so If you can play on pc (the specs for it are super low. If you can run itunes you shouldn't have a problem running this game) I say go that route. Its not like we're going to get a sequel any time soon.
I've always seen Jack as the most sensitive and the easiest to betray and insult. I think anything taht gets "flagged" as cheating behind Jack's back would result in something... unpleasant. I remember reading one interview where the devs said Kelly did count as a romance since she isn't flagged and doesn't cause infractions with other LI's in the game.

Y'know. Dunno about y'all but my Shepard prefers not to be smeared across the Normandy's walls.

I highly doubt that Jack's the "sharing" type, that and I really don't want to break the heart of someone who can shove me into a coffee cup with their mind.
Yeah... that's some good advice right there! I'm going to reload my game and make sure my Shepard stays faithful -- wouldn't want anything unfortunate happening in Mass Effect 3. If Jack leaves him, I will cry. Q__Q

According to the leaked script the majority of the ME2 LI's have a "do you want to continue this relationship?" line in the first conversation that they have with Shepard. From the looks of things Jack's happy to see Shepard again, but she's still a little ticked off that he got himself dragged off by the Alliance.
Ooo!! Any way I can get my hands on the leaked script? My email is Nightfable@gmail.com

I don't have it anymore, mostly because I didn't want EA beating down my door.

I suppose that's so you can choose to continue the relationship with them or go to the ME1 LI or something like that.

Jack´s fun though.
Same obsessive "I´ve been abused hence hating everyone" attitude is very typical BW games lately.

I suppose, but having a person be completely unaffected by the magnitude of abuse Fenris and Jack had suffered, well I don't see much how it could be done any other way.
In addition, Fenris and Jack have basically known nothing else, had very few, if any good experiences in their lives to counteract the bad. Not having experienced anything else well, a sunny disposition in such a troubled character is far more difficult to justify as a character trait than jaded causticity.

I'm not sure, but I think the key to knowing is the photo of your LI in your room. I say this, because Jack was the LI of my renegade Shep and the picture of her was standing up until I invited Kelly up to dance for me. After Kelly left the picutre of Jack was face down. Her feeding your fish and coming up for dinner early in the game didn't matter.
Most of you may already know about this, but I thought I was toss it out there.
btw- I reloaded before Kelly came up and the photo is back up again.

What we love best about Jack is her wit and humour especially when you consider everything she's been through, its nice to see that she still likes to have some fun. Fenris is all about the brooding and more brooding, don't get me wrong I like Fenris, but background aside he and Jack are nothing a like. Which could explain why you aren't a fan of Jack.
That's basically the same vibe I get. We've discussed the two before back in the ME2 thread and it was concluded that they have some similarities, but are overall different in many cases, especially their outcome in their present life. It's interesting how that works, similar pasts, yet different outlook on life and the way they deal with situations.

I liked Jack. She was very angry but in the end she softens up and realises she does need someone.

I had not been aware of this before, and checked to see if I had a picture of Jack in my room. The only picture frame I could find, which used to have Ashley's face on it, was turned face down. I was able to call Jack up to the room, I had never pursued any other romances with that character in ME2 (including Kelly), yet the picture stays down. I hope this doesn't mean I screwed something up.
On another note, re: Jack & Fenris, I always really liked Jack, but I found Fenris to be completely unbearable my first playthrough of DAII, and hardly ever took him anywhere. My second playthrough I decided to give him more of a chance, and brought him along on more quests, and found that he does become more interesting than just a whiney mope. Especially when he's got Varric poking fun at him.

You can call Jack up to your room? I romanced her with my primary Shpeard and she's never been an option to call up to your room, but I have been able to with the other LI's.

Yes you can, it's a nice touch, though it's generic for each romance, lmao.
