Lots of people do. I do. They tried to condense it, but the ME2 LIs just get a worse treatment than the others.

I know what you mean. It's just funny how they "booted" the ME2 romance in this game, even though in hindsight each ME2 character was more interesting than the ME1 characters (at least in my opioion), especially in the romance department. I just think they could of did more with the ME2 romances.

1) Liara (obviously)
2) Ashley, Kaidan
3) Garrus, Tali
4) Miranda, Jack, Steve, Samantha, Kelly
5) Thane, Jacob
While I would have liked more time with Jack(& Tali. Seriously, the game's nearing the 4th quarter, and we've just recruited her. This is worse than ME2!), I still liked what I've seen. However, it's not like it matters because no one gets a resolution in the end unless it's influenced by our headcanon/fanfiction.

When meeting Jack at Purgatory, if you agree to stay in the relationship with her, the conversation can go like this:
Jack: "I'm not like you. I don't run off when people are depending on me."
Shepard: "Who's running?"
Jack: "Come on. You really think we can make this work long-distance?"
Shepard: "I'm game."
Jack: "God, you make the best mistakes...All right, Shepard, no strings. But if we get out of this alive..."
What do you think Jack meant by "no strings"? That phrase has two very different meanings. I know one person thinks that Jack uses it to to show that she's afraid of wholly re-committing to the relationship, because she doesn't know if either of them will make it out of the war alive. That's what's meaant by the last sentence of the conversation.

Want to know what I really think? I think it's Bioware making her say something she wouldn't to give an excuse not to have her in the game anymore besides another 8 second holo call. That's my honest opinion.

Yeah, that's what I thought at first, but then I tried to rationalize it to keep it non-meta. Thus my confusion about the line.

Yep, though the couple small differences obviouly, I mean the bar scene IS Jack's romance scene... How F'd up is that!? You Get the para achievment after dancing w/ her, but wait.. everyone gets that? come on... they left out a romance scene.
If you think about it, it's like BW treated Jack's romance in ME3 as if you chose the have-sex-renagade option in ME2. THAT would make since. Going threw the full-paragon romance in ME2 seems to been for nothing. Jack turns out the same no matter what. Even SHE says it a few times, what changed her was going threw the suicide mission. All the emotion that was in the ME2 romance seems to have just up and disappered. have you guys seen what happens if you ramance Miranda in ME2 then break up w/ her in ME3? . See? where is the emotion w/ Jack in ME3 like there was in ME2? When i first played threw it i was really shoked when Jack said "..if you wanna call it off, I get it" Just the way that whole scene was seemed to completely ignore all the emotions and connection i built w/ Jack in ME2. I even thried loading to see what breaking it off was like, Just doesn't seem right..

This is what I've been complaining about as well... I'm guess Jack isn't as popular with other people or simply everyone is so focused on the HORRIBLE ending to nitpick with this but I really, really loved Jacks story.
It really did feel disconnected in the bar scene.. like, come on Jack I didn't give up on you before the suicide mission why would I give up on now when I could die at any moment? Why would SHE want to give up on that? Shepard helped her through some major emotional turmoil, she should be bouncing off the walls to see him and want to be with him... it's ridiculous and lazy and a way to have Jack not be involved. She was my favorite character cause she was so deep once you peeled some of the security layers away.
Let's just be honest with each other, as Jack fans.... Bioware ****ed us over big time and we're going to have to headcanon the fact that there was more going on between them in the game. Ridiculous I know.

Whats up jackolytes? its been a few months
okay so here are my thoughts on Jack
I thought it was fantastic running into her at the academy. I enjoyed the direction she had taken and the growth. I say all of it made sense.
Now this is based off of the entire 5 minutes I actually got to speak to her. which is my major grip about the whole thing its seriously incomplete.
I mean I sat there after the academy and was like where is Jack? I thought I was transporting the kids and her back so we could at least talk, this was not the case.
Then I get an email and I'm like awesome, finally I can have a real conversation with this character I love . Again I felt that the conversation was extremely short and then the next minute we go to the dance floor, which i can get behind because well were trying to enjoy ourselves we dance for 5 seconds.. and then I'm standing alone on the dance floor no jack no good bye no nothing
not cool
But I said to myself I can deal with this ill let my mind fill in the blanks, ill see her again and we will have a real conversation before the final battle...
and i am rewarded with a 5 second holo call with no options...
I could understand why I cant see her, in the context of war this makes perfect sense. It sucks. I don't like it, but I could understand it
Dont get me wrong the holocall was great but I felt at the very least before the operation started I should have been able to call her form the ship and have a real conversation with her were there was at least an emotional exchange on how both characters feel and whats going on.
I got more face time with Miranda in game and Zaeeds holo call was longer then Jacks...

It's no bug. Apparently, BioWare decided not to put in any other LI who wasn't Ashley, Kaidan, or Liara because it "didn't focus right" or some bullsh!t like that. In the end, it defaults to Liara.Premier Bromanov wrote...

Jack was enthusiastic, in her own way, to see Shepard at Grissom
Academy. The punching, the anger, the sarcasm, and then the humor, and receptiveness to being grabbed and kissed. Then, at the bar, she's almost completely neutral to Shepard, even if romanced. One thing that bothered me is how her tone really changes between the previous line, and the next line, where she says "I'm not like you. I don't run off when people are depending on me." It makes the whole conversation sound very canned, despite Ms. Taylor's excellent voice-acting. There's no personal contact, no nothing. Miranda and Shepard get busy, but only if Miranda is romanced. Jack and Shepard go dancing, romanced or not. Why?

Where did Bioware say that? I'm sure the people who romanced the ME1 LIs are happy about this, but what about everyone else? Why the heck wouldn't Shepard think about Jack when he could very well die? He has a lot of emotional investment in Jack. You could say Shepard has no emotional investment in anything, but that's not true because this is a romance, so Shepard's emotions can be particular. Hell, the "paragon" responses in conversations with grieving individuals are all about Shepard saying sentimental things like "We take strength in the people we're protecting".

Seeing as my primary MaleShep is with Jack and I'm having serious issues dealing with the ending outcome right now I'd love to see a comic for "after the fact" given I had the N7 chestplate scene at the very end. Its the only thing thats given me hope at this point.
I mentioned them getting tattooed bands.

doing a comic would be awesome.....
i seriously need some real closure after those horrible endings
@Gothamlord
yea I got the raspy breath scene as well
.....
I didn't find it that encouraging... but then again until its fixed, I'm telling myself everything after the confrontation with the illusive man didn't happen and that my Shep wakes up to Jack sitting next to him in the hospital...

Thanks for mentioning it GothamLord, it's a great idea. What is the N7 chestplate scene part?
There is a like 4 second scene for people beating it a second time, or if you imported a character with a 1 and 2 save. It pans to a person with N7 armor on (can't see face) that is heavily implied its likely Shepard. Then there is a sudden gasp of air like they just came back from the dead kinda moment before it snaps back to credits.

You only get that scene if you choose the Destroy ending...sadly...
