I agree with the above! My take on it is that Jack will always be very independant -- she knows that Shepard is more than capable of taking care of himself. What I found sweet is that she shows hurt about him leaving for Earth. I would imagine that she accepts her own deep love for Shepard... but, in the back of her mind, is most likely afraid of being heart broken (You can't blame her, with all these other Mass Effect romances tempting Shepard at every corner, lol).

As I've said before, it's mostly the ending that ruined it for me. She didn't have to come with me but I just can't argue myself out of my vision of her coming to see him one last time before the battle. It screams "against human nature" down to my very core.  **** I could see her stealing a shuttle to roll up on the Normandy while everyones sitting infront of the relay. 

Maybe I am deluding myself... lol.

I have the impression that Bioware saved work on the ME2 romances for last, then ran out of time and rushed like crazy -- screwing up bad. >:/ Same goes for the ending...

The Grissom Academy mission is one of the "timed" missions. Makes me think that they wanted a, additional way for your actions, or lack thereof, have an impact on the characters, or that they just wanted an easy way to get rid of Jack. There's no indication that Jack is there. You discover that she just happens to be there.

Yeah, that's true, probably to protect her students, but it would've been cool if you could maybe learn from Liara that Jack is there, once you get the mission. As the Shadow Broker, Liara has that terminal right there on her desk, keeping tabs on everyone.

What about the "Jennifer" dialogue, where Liara tells Jack her real name and adds that she'll give her her Last name if she asks politely? Was that cut out of the game?

I checked my Grissom Academy save, and I brought Liara and Garrus with me. Jack spoke to Garrus about how he still looks like ****, so this could mean that who Jack addresses is random.  The exchange between Liara and Jack might be when Liara is chosen.

That's AWESOME!!   I'm going to reload my game and choose Liara in my squad tonight.

Jack didn't seem too interested in learning more from Liara. I guess it doesn't matter, it's all in the past. Jack chooses what she wants for herself for her present and future.

Thanks! I wish they had extended that conversation a bit, perhaps shown a bit of worry at the end.

Then again maybe the bravado about getting laid is why people like her.

Yeah. I wish she had shown a little worry, too. She doesn't really seem very concerned at all, and I don't know if I can attribute that to her ferocious independence in this situation.
