I really need to get the games on PC. I really want to do some graphic work now and see if I could mod the old Jack outfit design skin with the new head design giving her hair. Having the intimate scenes with Jack wearing the jacket just seems....wrong. Using anyone elses body design cant work for lack of tattoos.

Well again someone could put a skin of Jack into the ending sequence of her coming off the Normandy. Not that it would make any better sense seeing as Jack was to the south with the students for ground support.

So much potential in her character. So many things that could've been explored. It just so sad they didn't deliver.

P.S. Courtenay Talyor I salute you. Thank you for breathing life into one of my most favorite famale characters in gaming.

I was looking at the ME3 CE Art Book, and Jack is listed under "Allies".  None of the ME2 squadmates who are squadmates in ME3 are listed under that section.  Tali isn't there.  That's kind of suspicious.  Makes me think that they did originally intend for Jack to be a squadmate, and that Professor Jack, while a fair addition to her character, was used more to keep her out of the squad.  It also mentions that at the time the book had gone to press, Jack's role in ME3 hadn't yet been decided.  So, maybe that's where all the Jack content went - writer indecision.

Jack's romance in ME3 is almost depressing and disappointing as the actual ending.

Ok returning to the Self Loathing comments made. I bet that explains the "No strings" comment.

She hates herself and is coming to terms with that due to Shepard. She is changing and here he is the one person who got through her defenses....What if he doesnt approve of the changes? So she "Relapses" and starts thinking "Im not good enough for him" Etc and so when he says he still wants her she is kinda stunned cause she was preparing for something else. and has a thought that goes something like this "Well he hasnt been around new me much he will change his mind" So she says "no strings" so that instead of him hurting her she can cut and run first.....Make sense?

I would hope that ME3 Jack would have made progress in moving on from her self-loathing behavior. As was said before, and I agree with this, the "no strings" line is Jack doing what she can to distance herself emotionally from Shepard. She hasn't lost interest in him, she just can't stand the thought of losing him.

I finally actually beat the game. Having heard that everyone sees Liara at the end rather than their LI, I couldn't help but be a dick to her for the final segment. Crying on her bed because of Thessia? That's nice, bye. Wants to give me a final gift? Nah. Any last words? Good luck, I guess.

The more I feel like I'm being forced into liking her, the more I want to react by hating her.

Still, the more I look at the other ME2 love interests, the more I feel like Jack fans got a pretty good deal. Sure, we'd all like it to have been longer, but we actually got really awesome new content that moved her character and the relationship in an interesting direction, rather than a plot rehash (Miranda), or having the relationship severed (Thane/Jacob).

is it even possible to get her through the suicide mission after going renegade on her? she died during my sucide mission the first time admitting that she actually really liked my shepard even though I wound up romancing tali after being blown off for a good half of the game after jack rejected me. I don't think I could bare going through that kind of play through again though after I got the full romance with jack. anyone else know?

One of the things I was looking forward to most in this game was seeing Jack
..I went into the final battle thinking "okay I have to survive this so jack won't lose another person she loves"
I totally would have sacrificed the galaxy to the reapers for more time with jack in at least one play through..

hello all. ive been lurkin' for a while now considering i can finally post. but im kinda pissed that jack is hardly in me3 at all. given i still am happy to see her. the conversations are a joke though. barely any dialogue, cant help but feel down. hopefully they can come out with some LI dlc or something but i feel im reaching for the stars on that one. still havent seen the holo vid convo, i really gotta beat the game.

I dont remember if having the "fling" with Jack affects her loyalty/loyalty mission. So long as Jack is loyal though and you use her properly in the suicide run she should survive.

As for her attitute change in ME3 if you had the fling and she survived not sure. I cant image doing such a thing to Jack. I only have one save file I did that with and I havent touched it for obvious reasons.

I havent seen any videos posted online of any attitute outside of what we got as a friend/love interest.

The more I think about the ME3 Jack romance arc, the less I like it.  It's all about the physical component, and the emotional component is barely touched on.  In fact, the emotional component of the arc has to be inferred by the player, who has to do mental gymnastics to explain Jack's behavior.  Jack's a very emotional person, and her romance arc in ME2 was very emotional.  You don't just ignore emotion when it comes to Jack and dating her.  If more time or attention had been paid to her character, they could have dealt more with Jack recovering from her insecurities and self-loathing as they pertain to her character development and her relationship with Shepard.  We know that Ms. Taylor is more than capable of expressing Jack's emotions.  Instead, we got nothing.

In starting to form the opinion that the whole thing feels incomplete and hollow because it is.  It stinks of writer "obligation".  No real thought was put in to the creative process.  They just needed to do something, and this is what we got.

Earth.

Shepard wakes to find himself in a hospital room. His vision is blurry, and his ears ring with pain, but he can make out the shapes and sounds of the life-support machines crowded around his bed. He can see that someone is sitting at his bedside.

Jack is only momentarily distracted by the commotion in the hallway. The hospital was partially bombed out, and the building had been locked down by military personnel for Shepard's sake. Looking back to the Commander, she notices him peering at her. She smiles, her large brown eyes brimming with tears. Reaching out, she places a hand on the side of his head, gently stroking his forehead with her thumb.

“You left me behind, ***-hole,” she says with a wavering voice.

“Would never leave you, Jack.” Though his face is swollen with injury, he manages a weak smile.

She chuckles softly, her stomach lurching with emotion. With tears streaming down her face, she leans in to kiss him softly on the corner of his mouth.

“***-hole,” she whispers.

Going to try and get some actual STORY going with my Aftermath fic this weekend. Get it beyond just Shepard surviving and piecing together the mess that is the ending.

On another side note, is there anyone in the group (or knows anyone) that has the PC version and works with mods? I'm curious about the coding and seeing if the ME3 skin for Jack and be reversed back into the ME2 game as an alternative costume option. As a group we could get a whole hell of a lot more fan created content made if the coding isnt different enough that its impossible to reverse-engineer. Given the graphic improvements over the time between games I'm not sure if the textures would be to much to port into the older game. Anyone have any insight?
