After ME2 I was found quite often in the old "jack thread". Now Im lurking around this one. At first I was so happy with the changes I saw with Jack at Grissom's. And then there was the citadel... And I still had hope.
They would meet again before the end I said to myself. They'll get a special scene, a lot more dialogue. After all, in the Dev Journals they spoke about the LI's, and said they would not so much focus on building new relationships, but flesh out the one's you already had. There would be "consequences" and new "dept" to your established relations..
What they forgot to mention was that this is only the case for your ME1 options. Pretty much every ME2 option gets minimum screen time. I would almost think that is Bioware thought they would get away with scrapping those characters all together, they would have...
After finishing ME2, I replayed ME1 without any LI at all, just to make sure there would be no "consequences" in ME3 for "cheating". And no matter what kind of play-trough I was making with ME2, I always chose Jack as a LI. She just felt the most real, and really pulled my heartstrings.
Jack got a great new look in ME3, and her first impression was awesome. But after that, I got really disappointed with how minimal their effort was in fleshing out her character. And most of all I just dont understand. Why did they do this?
