Though, the no strings still sort of bugs me because it's sort of contradicting the "that's what pisses me off", lol.

I just noticed she says "That's what pisses me off, we're doing good work. If we were useless I could drop this **** and come with you, but we're not and they need me..." that leads into if you want to break up with her and not, but I didn't realize she said those words, makes me sad that I can't see her more, but happy that she is finally happy, that's more important IMO, especially after all she's been through.

Nightfable, that picture hurts me, but it's very well-done. It's just so sad. The background makes it feel like the only thing that exists in that moment is the two of them, and Shepard's sorrow at losing Jack.
Are you still working on your other picture, Nightfable?

Okay, I just found something out.
Turns out, Jack's romance really IS a "no-strings" thing. Ash was my LI in 1. Jack in 2. I got back with Ash, THEN went to talk to Jack at Purgatory. Same scene: Told her I still wanted her, I make the best mistakes. Then I got the Ash love scene before the Cerberus HQ mission. Then on Earth... Jack still wants to get laid.

If I had to guess, I'd say that's most likely due to a development oversight (or a bug, I suppose). I know for a fact that you can't start a new romance with anyone (well, at least not any of the women; I don't know about Cortez) after you've locked things in with Jack at Purgatory. The dialogue options simply don't come up. Heck, you can't even flirt with Samantha Traynor (which you can do if you don't have Jack locked in as your love interest yet), despite the fact that flirting with her wouldn't lead anything anyway because she's gay.Rip The Reaper wrote...

oversight. Basicly it all comes down to a the lack of jack. period. Choosing to break-up with her when you first meet her had NO effect. You can pursue another relationship before talking to her a purgatory...NO effect.

I see some of you are trying to ask @masseffect about Jack DLC and all that jazz. I'd love to see some too, but getting an answer from that twitter feed is likely not going to happen. Someone should tweet @courtenaytaylor and see what her opinion would be on DLC for that character.

That's hardly unique to Jack. Near as I can tell almost every love interest from the previous games has several points where you can express interest or disinterest in them (on my first playthrough, for example, I had to tell Ashley twice that things between us were over so I could be free to stick with Jack for the duration of the game). Most likely, the reason why they give you multiple opportunities to do this is because they want you to be absolutely certain when you rekindle or break things off with an old love interest, since ME3's revamped romance mechanics don't allow for any, uh, "backsies" (that is to say, unlike in ME2, after a certain point in the game's overarching narrative you can neither break up with a love interest or pursue a new one).Rip The Reaper wrote...

I thought it was run by Jessica Merizan (and there is a thankless task if I've ever seen one, running the Mass Effect Twitter account. I mean...damn).Makaveli The Don wrote...

Either there is a bot responding to those twits, or whoever is answering them is using fairly generic and common answers. I've seen almost identical answers from it before.
MrFrank wrote...
Yeah, that's half of what's worrying me about asking the @masseffect twitter. A lot of the replies are just recycled so the point might not be getting across too well. That being said, it's hard to reply to thousands of people and think of a creative response for each one.
I doubt it's a bot though, the responses seem too accurate for that.

I think it would be pretty easy to come up with some Jack-centric DLC.
It's pre-TIM base, like any non-ending DLC would be, so... get an email from Jack on the Normandy, saying she's got some intel about Cerberus (pre-TIM base, Cerberus is alive and kicking) and needs/wants your help. Meet on Citadel.
LotSB/Arrival-length DLC mission kicking Cerberus ass with plenty of opportunities for character and relationship development (possibly involving her family, my personal request) and snappy Jack one-liners. Wrap it up with a big explosion and a feisty Jack-style love scene for Jackmancers (quick shot of N7 tat on butt? Yes please).
