Okay, I just found something out.
Turns out, Jack's romance really IS a "no-strings" thing. Ash was my LI in 1. Jack in 2. I got back with Ash, THEN went to talk to Jack at Purgatory. Same scene: Told her I still wanted her, I make the best mistakes. Then I got the Ash love scene before the Cerberus HQ mission. Then on Earth... Jack still wants to get laid.My Shepard was single and I really don't view their relationship developing that way, bah - I don't know what to think of her romance, like I love her in ME3, but I don't know if I like the way things turned out for them - different vision for Bioware I guess, tis' all good.
i was playing my MalShep and going through Jack's romance, I realized I somewhat like the way things are headed for their romance arc (except the obvious lack of content ). I like the pace of it to be exact, but it would have needed an extra game to be fully accomplised. Just like FemShep/Garrus (except of course that there wont be a ME4 and that the galaxy is bombed back to stone age). In ME2, Jack is pretty much broken an Shepard can help her open up and believe that it is worth making something of herself. In ME3, we can see how she is finding balance in her life and learning to live with others, taking responsabilites that are in the caliber of her capacities. But she still kicks ass and talks back, she's the same person, just making something of herself and giving her effort to the war. I feel that if there was a third arc to her romance thats when she could make things happen between her sand Shepard will avoidign the 'you fixed me' trope.
So I dig the pace of their relation and the character she is in ME3. Just wish there could have been a ME4 to see things happen. Or just an ending that lets it be possible.
