:crying: My Shepard was single and I really don't view their relationship developing that way, bah - I don't know what to think of her romance, like I love her in ME3, but I don't know if I like the way things turned out for them - different vision for Bioware I guess, tis' all good.

i was playing my MalShep and going through Jack's romance, I realized I somewhat like the way things are headed for their romance arc (except the obvious lack of content ). I like the pace of it to be exact, but it would have needed an extra game to be fully accomplised. Just like FemShep/Garrus (except of course that there wont be a ME4 and that the galaxy is bombed back to stone age). In ME2, Jack is pretty much broken an Shepard can help her open up and believe that it is worth making something of herself. In ME3, we can see how she is finding balance in her life and learning to live with others, taking responsabilites that are in the caliber of her capacities. But she still kicks ass and talks back, she's the same person, just making something of herself and giving her effort to the war. I feel that if there was a third arc to her romance thats when she could make things happen between her sand Shepard will avoidign the 'you fixed me' trope.

So I dig the pace of their relation and the character she is in ME3. Just wish there could have been a ME4 to see things happen. Or just an ending that lets it be possible.

I think it would be pretty easy to come up with some Jack-centric DLC.

It's pre-TIM base, like any non-ending DLC would be, so... get an email from Jack on the Normandy, saying she's got some intel about Cerberus (pre-TIM base, Cerberus is alive and kicking) and needs/wants your help. Meet on Citadel.

LotSB/Arrival-length DLC mission kicking Cerberus ass with plenty of opportunities for character and relationship development (possibly involving her family, my personal request) and snappy Jack one-liners. Wrap it up with a big explosion and a feisty Jack-style love scene for Jackmancers (quick shot of N7 tat on butt? Yes please).

I dig it. I dig it a lot. The Cerberus connection would be extremely easy to work in, too, what with this being Jack and Cerberus already having targeted her students.

I really am hoping for some sort of LotSB-type DLC/expansion, not just for Jack but for several other ME2 squadmates/love interests. Thane, in particular, really deserves one, I think. But I imagine that the more characters you try to work in, the slimmer are the chances of it happening (not that the chances of a Jack-centric DLC happening would be terribly likely to begin with, I think, considering she's never been a very popular character. But we live in hope).

Would Jack want to be called by her real name? Or would she still prefer Jack? If she's moved on from her past, is her real name a discarded part of her past? If she's moved on from her past, but she still wants to keep her real name, why do you think that is?

I would assume Jack.  And everynow and then Shep could say "I love you........"  And It would be a just for shep type deal

Not sure if anyone is interested but just to put it out there Ms. Taylor did the voice work for Ada Wong in the newly released Resident Evil game, Operation: Racoon City. Just picked it up myself to try and kill the time as I wait for development on the ending fiasco and DLC news.

Yeah I know. I'm gonna buy it just because of Ms. Taylor's voice acting. ;)

I see some of you are trying to ask @masseffect about Jack DLC and all that jazz. I'd love to see some too, but getting an answer from that twitter feed is likely not going to happen. Someone should tweet @courtenaytaylor and see what her opinion would be on DLC for that character.

Replies from offical ME3 twitter to me (note: tweets that starts with "@masseffect" are from me and those that starts with "@aver88" are from Bioware):
1)
@masseffect Give us more Jack. Pretty please.
@aver88 More Jack, eh? What sorts of scenarios would you like to see?
@masseffect I would like to see her as a companion. Also more developed romance would be great too.

2)
@masseffect any chances for a DLC about Jack?
@aver88 Nothing's impossible!

3)
@masseffect Please make a DLC about Jack. She is awesome. I want to recruit her to my squad. :)
@aver88 Noted, thanks for the suggestion!

4)@masseffect I'm disappointed that Jack in ME3 isn't a squadmate. Please make a DLC that will change it. :)
@aver88 We're glad you like her- she is a cool chick. We'll pass on your feedback!

And I already talked with Ms Taylor:

@courtenaytaylor Your voice acting in ME3 was awesome. I just hope that there will some DLC about Jack so I will be able to hear more of it.
@Aver88 well thank you! Me too! I will be happy to do so should it come around! #IloveJack

So yeah, there is no any problem with getting an answer from them :).

Im about 90% sure I actually sawyour convo with Ms Taylor when I went to her page to also compliment Jack

If I had to guess, I'd say that's most likely due to a development oversight (or a bug, I suppose). I know for a fact that you can't start a new romance with anyone (well, at least not any of the women; I don't know about Cortez) after you've locked things in with Jack at Purgatory. The dialogue options simply don't come up. Heck, you can't even flirt with Samantha Traynor (which you can do if you don't have Jack locked in as your love interest yet), despite the fact that flirting with her wouldn't lead anything anyway because she's gay.

oversight. Basicly it all comes down to a the lack of jack. period. Choosing to break-up with her when you first meet her had NO effect. You can pursue another relationship before talking to her a purgatory...NO effect.

That's hardly unique to Jack. Near as I can tell almost every love interest from the previous games has several points where you can express interest or disinterest in them (on my first playthrough, for example, I had to tell Ashley twice that things between us were over so I could be free to stick with Jack for the duration of the game). Most likely, the reason why they give you multiple opportunities to do this is because they want you to be absolutely certain when you rekindle or break things off with an old love interest, since ME3's revamped romance mechanics don't allow for any, uh, "backsies" (that is to say, unlike in ME2, after a certain point in the game's overarching narrative you can neither break up with a love interest or pursue a new one).

So in Jack's case, for example, they give you the opportunity to tell her that you're no longer interested in her when you meet her at Grissom Academy, but then, at Purgatory, they give you the opportunity to say that you are still interested in case you've changed your mind. And the opposite is also true: you can say that you're interested at Grissom and that you're no longer interested at Purgatory (or you can say that you're interested at both places, or that you're not interested at both places).

I think it's better this way. Frankly - and I honestly don't intend this to come across as rude to anyone here in any way, so if it does I truly apologize in advance - I get the sense that if they did allow us to break up with her permanently the first time we meet her, it would simply feed into the notion I've seen expressed a few times here that BioWare supposedly "wants" us to break up with Jack.

Yeah your right but that's not what I meant. If you acually go through with it you'll see what I mean. Right after she puches you, you can say "we're threw" or something. she say "**** i'll burn the n7 tat off my ass later right now we gotta get my guys outta here" and RIGHT AFTER that the dialog in the entire mission is the EXACT same. Email after is the exact same. Purgatory scene is the exact same. as if you never said it. It's just a lack of dialog that SHOULD be there. Liek starting a romance with someone else, THEN go back to Jack. You shouldn't be able to do that, there should be dialog for it.

What bothered me is that it turns out that didn't have any empact. It was the sucide mission that changed her, at least that is what is implied through dialog multible times. Jack turns out the same regardless. I don't mind that but there should have been a few lines or at the very least ONE that brings up the relathionship you built in ME2.

In that case somebody should make a Jack's version of this meme. Jack with her biotic fist and "Take my money or I will destroy you!"

BTW. I still hope they will make Jack a full squad-mate for a whole campaign.

I can do it. Do you happen to have the picture?

Completely agree. Playing through ME3 for the first time I was really hoping for some dialogue with Jack about how the relationship changed her. It really disappointed me to find out that wasn't going to happen. The whole relationship felt a little half-assed.

Don't get me wrong, I like the dialogue that's there, just wish there was more stuff related to the romance.

If it were truly a lack of budget then Bioware should have started a kickstarter fund, or something like that. I'm sure if Bioware posted something saying "look, we're running low on funds. If you could spare a few dollars it would definitely helps us create a bigger and more in depth experience." I'm sure people would chip in.

Actually one of writers posted something like that in Samara's topic (I don't mean kickstarter idea, but lack of budget). He said that he wanted to add romance options in Samara's dialogs but they had problems with a budget so he had to drop this idea.

Probably it was the same case with Jack.

Points. Artillery option will give you more War Assets Points. Dialog options practically won't change. In both cases she gonna say "We are doing better job than I thought" or something like that.

That's just ridiculous. Over 70 thousand donated in protest of the ending. The fans would have been more than willing to chip in if they had said something like "hey, running low on budget, chip in and we can spend more time on smaller more minor content and writing". That acually would have been kinda cool to see. fans donating in the making of a game the want

First of all EA should give them more money. It's the best selling action rpg out there. They shouldn't have a such problem like very limited budget.
