That and she's holding a Black Widow, which you never see. Which, come to think of it, doesn't quite strike me as appropriate for her character. Too precise, idk.

Why would they change her being in your squad? Hm, maybe to make room for  Javik,  
Ends up highlighting how very few squadmates you can have.

Jack in the party along would Garrus again would have made your party to awesome and therefore there would have been no way for the ending we got to have taken place.

The worst part of her not being with your squad to help her students, for me at least, is that Garrus, Tali, and even Liara have WAY more important reasons to not be with you but somehow they can.

Garrus is shephards bro for life. They been though thick and thin. There's no other place for Garrus to be than with Shephard. I agree with You on Tali though =D

Bros for life, whether you like it or not.  I didn't recruit him in ME1, and in ME2 all of a sudden my Shepard knows him and he's his bro.

I agree Garrus and Shep's bromance was my fav part of the game.  saying goodbye actually made me very sad.  Because of how defeated Garrus sounded.  But im just saying They gave him a high up place on Palaven he REALLY should be there and him deciding to go with Shep seems a lil selfish dont you think?

I'm reasonably certain it is. That node was in the leaked script as well, along with the others from ME2 ("Invite Thane Up", "Invite Tali Up", "Invite Miranda Up", "Invite Kelly Up", etc.). The script also contains the text for your ME2 squadmates' upgrades, including Jack's 20% biotic damage upgrade, and other things from that game.

the entire game I was working mental gymnastics to accept why I couldn't see her.......

Her alterantive ending and conclusion to shep and Jack was fantastic.
Unless Bioware can really fix it
Her endings are Canon.

How does that graph work? I've played threw the SM many many times. I mean, I thought that as long as you upgrade the armor, Jack is pretty hard to kill off (save the stupid call to make her suad leader). I'd like to see another graph disregarding the upgrades. That would be interesting.

I get the feeling that most people didn't buy the ship upgrades that keep Jack from getting killed because the mining mini-game being what it was...yeah. People didn't buy the upgrades because they didn't have the resources because they didn't want to scan planets.

My first playthrough jack died and I didn't know what to do my heart dropped I swear I could've fainted but once I realized you needed the ship upgrades I made sure she lived every time. That's my girl lil.

I'm surprise at Jack's high rate of survival. I honestly thought it'd be much lower.

Mordin is the character who takes the most precedence as far as dying while holding the doors against the Collectors is concerned, provided the group's defensive score isn't high enough to have everyone make it out alive. Jack is pretty up there too (I think she may even be the one who takes the second most precedence), as are Tali and Kasumi. I think there's a list of the order in which characters will die in that segment (and in others, like on the way to the Collector Base) on the Mass Effect Wikia.
