Thanks, mine's empty though. Haven't played me3 since i registered it though, maybe that's the problem.

You have to level up one multiplayer character up to level 20 and click button "Rank Up", but remember that it will delete this character.

Oh good lord. Guess I shouldn't have got my fill of the MP during the demo period.

Quick question - when you meet Jack in Grissom, does anything change based on whether she is loyal or not? If she's disloyal but survives the SM, will she even be there in ME3 at all?

Also, does taking the Renegade sex option have any repercussions in ME3? (Aside from her not being loyal, as above.)

Nope and nope. Renegade sex change one line a little bit but nothing interesting. She will be in the game even if she is not loyal.

My brother played the game but didnt import his ME2 player because he wanted to be something other than a soldier (He coulda just changed but he wouldnt listen to me)
and Jack wasnt even in the game at all. They dont even mention her. PRangley is in charge because "Our professor was killed"
Grunt is also replaced by Dag.
Why would they do this

My two favorite characters are dead in the "default" Shepard.  Clearly, this was done to spite me.  At least Mordin's fill-in is pretty funny.

Me being postive, or delusional, i figure they take out these awesome characters out in order to force you into playing ME 2. It's a testament to the characters awesomeness, bioware has faith in this awesomeness's ability to get people to play the previous game in order to unlock this awesomeness in ME 3. True story, at least it's what i choose to believe :P

I dont even think they are dead.  I think they just straight up dont exist for "Default SHep"  Cause none of Jack's students will call her anything other than "Our Professor"  They could have at least said "Jack" so you knew.  And this Dag fellow has almost the exact same lines as Grunt.  Like he has led the company for as long as he can remember.

From a marketing point of view it's a good decision. Now players that didn't play ME2/lost saves/changed platform/want to play from the scratch will be more eager to buy a DLC about ME2 characters to get new characters in the game. Especially players that didn't play ME2 may want to buy such DLC to meet new characters.

I guess but I think thats still majorly lame.  And why would you want new characters in the game that arent squadmates?  Why would someone pay for that if they didnt have a previous attachement to that person

I think that if there would be a DLC about ME2 character then ME2 characters will be there as companion for at least one mission (or for a whole campaign).

New players will be more interested about such character if they don't know it at all than if they would already know character from this poorly made scenes that most of ME2 character has in ME3 (I'm not talking about Jack here. Jack's scenes are kinda semi-good). At least I think so.

For example if they would saw Miranda's scenes they would be just confused. There is no explanation about her story at all. Now BioWare can release dlc with discription "Join your forces with ex-cerberus secret agent with perfect ass genetics on her mission to XXX. It will also unlock a new content about her in campaign for a newly created characters"

So people will buy the previous two games. An effort that goes down the toilet after you see that ending.

People may have problems with switching from ME3 combat to ME1 combat anyway. ;)

...Yeah, I don't think anything for Miranda would work. Her mission seems intertwined with the story already. Plus it pretty much ended the minute her pops ate it.

If they went about any ME2 squadmate's stories like they went about Liara's, then I could see DLC working for them.

That sounds like my kinda mission.  Har Har Har

But I dont agree with you.  If im Bioware.  Im confindent in the People ive created already.  Grunt and Jack are both super interesting chars IMO.  I dont understand why you would cut them out.  If you make a DLC with missions why is Jack not at the Acadamy?
If you have a DLC for everyone would that change where Jack was?  Does it change her story?  It would change all the convos you could have with her.  For my SheP I could say "How the kids holding up out there" (Hopefully that would get different responses based on if I pick them to be Support or Assault.)

But for my Bro's Shep whats the convo "Where you been"
"Well I was teaching a bunch of students.  you saved them at grissom.  But I was out that day sorry bro"

Yeah, Jack was shown in interesting way (as I mentioned). Grunt too. But I was talking about Thane, Jacob, Zaeed, Miranda. They were shown in ultra boring light. I think that they just didn't want to cut out only half of the crew, so they decided to cut out all of them.

But Grunt and Jack werent in the "Default Shep" which is what im saying it seems like a dumb thing to do cause IMO it limits the DLC you can do. If I dont know who Grunt or Jack is I am not going to pay for a DLC for that character. If it were me I would be more inclined to paying for that person If I have seen them once.
Its also irritating that they arent in ME3 cause it makes ME2 feel like major filler.

I agree. I just felt it was odd to cut her out for Default Shep. It just seems like such an awful decision.
