But you are right...everyone who cares about more Jack or any LI should write a little something and show Bioware how desperate their customers are about that topic!

I would say we can have both - better and more letters. I can't make those letters any better, but I can ask for more of them by spamming about it

And on a company basis, how much money bioware could make with dlc´s about them ;-)
Edit: Of course, the best would be, if there are many letters and most of em well written and explaining our concerns

Agreed, and I'm dissapointed that Samara only has 2 letters, one was from me. I've got a Jack one in the works so ya can add another letter under the Jack area. Aslo got one underway for Ashley.

The PAX Letter initiative is going well. We should have at least a hundred letters to send, great job!
The letters are all going into a lovely, Mass Effect-themed binder with pictures of the LI's on the front. Can't wait to show it to you all!
The thing is, we were hoping to receive some Fanart to put into the binder of letters. Doesn't have to be anything new, but if you have some Jack fanart or know someone who has some and wouldn't mind showcasing it, please post it or a link to it, here: http://social.biowar...884/1#10994435.
We're going to put the pictures into the letter binder as section dividers, to give BioWare a chance to rest their eyes from the onslaught of fanmail. Should turn out really pretty!
If it is not your work please get permission from the artist before submitting it. Nothing explicit, please. I'd also like to get some fanart of all the LI's, so please, ask around the forums here, or look around DeviantArt. And ask around the other threads!
Time is of the essence! And if you haven't submitted a letter yet, what are you waiting for?

Just a reminder everyone. If ya want to make your voice heard about how you think Jack's romance went in ME3 (MOAR MOAR MAOR JACK PLOX) PM me or post here!
http://social.biowar...ndex/10853184/4
I have 15 letters from Jack fans right now. Is that it, then?
Passionate, but polite! What did you like, what didn't you like? Were your expectations met regarding how you last saw Jack in ME2? How well do you think she was portrayed in ME3? What do you wish was done better, or differently?
Deadline for letters is Thursday 9 PM (EST). Gotta PM it to me or post on the above thread by then so I can be sure it gets printed out!!
So far, all told, we've got:
Letters: 80
All/General: 11
Ashley: 4
Jack: 15
Jacob: 5
Thane: 22
Miranda: 19
Samara: 2
Vega: 2
I have a Jack letter ready to be sent, but I think I'm going to put it on hold as a form of extortion as I don't think I'll add to the gap between my favorite LI Samara and the other LI's. Yeah I'm evil like that, Samara needs more letters before I send my Jack letter.

Truthfully, I don't think it's so implausible (well, within the parameters of the games) that Garrus and Tali are available to join Shepard on the Normandy while Jack isn't. Garrus' chief value to the turians is his knowledge about the Reapers. That's why he was assigned the position of consultant on the matter. He's not a front line soldier, so he doesn't need to be physically there on Palaven or Menae to assist with the turian war effort. Not when you consider the sort of communications technology that exists in the games' setting, which should make things like advising the turian leaders on how to approach a given situation fairly simple. Moreover, considering his Primarch also joins you on the Normandy for a good stretch of the game, and then assigns Garrus to coordinate the turians' effort to help the Alliance, I don't think it's so illogical for Garrus to follow Shepard and (most importantly) Victus up on the ship.
While I completeyu agree that he doesn't have to be on the front line, Garrus serves as a valuable asset for the Turian. He fought against Saren, Sovereign, the Collectors and the Human-Reaper. He has more experience against the Reapers and their army than all of Palaven. This is exactly why he should have stayed behind and coordinate the forces. He knows their weakness and tactics the best. By joining the Normandy and Shepard, he is, in a way, wasting his knowledge by being a foot soldier. While the means of communicate with others is much improved over what we have, it still not up to the point where he can lead the forces on Palaven from the Normandy. The only way would be a Quantum Entanglement Communicator but even that wouldn't be as effective as being on the ground. This is the exact same reason that Anderson stayed on Earth, to coordinate the Resistance, as he knew he wouldn't be able to do so from outer space. Garrus wasted all the Intel and experience he had fighting the Reapers by joining Shepard which could have been used to offer a bigger Resistance on Palaven. Just like Tali helped the Quarians with the Geth because of her extensive knowledge, Garrius should have helped the Turians with the Reapers.
Padt wrote... As for Tali, both she and the admirals make it pretty clear that her rank as admiral is only a formality granted because they need her expertise on the geth, whom the quarians are now at war with. It's like Garrus' thing, an advisory position that is largely situational. Once that situation (i.e., the war with the geth) is resolved, they don't need for her to stick around. I sincerely doubt her being granted admirality is something that would occur under normal circumstances, considering 1) Tali's still a kid (when you first talk to her, she tells you she's too young to be considered a "true" admiral) and 2) the fact that she remains "Tali'Zorah vas Normandy" even if you don't get her exiled. When you take into account how much value quarians place on the ship-community that each of them belongs to, as well as the bond they share with their captain, I think it's natural that, once the matter with the geth is resolved, they would let her join Shepard on the Normandy again.
It's true that it's only a formality, but consider that there are still many Quarians and the fact she is an Admiral means that she still need to take care of them, even if she is one only because of her knowledge about the Geth. Even after the war with the Geth is done, the fact is that many people are still reluctant to trust the Geth (if both are saved) or if they aren't saved, Tali still need to take care of the Quarians. Even more now than ever since the Quarians agreed to fight the Reapers. In this case, Tali, who helped the Quarians fought the Geth should now help the Quarians fight the Reapers. In both cases, she has more knowledge than anyone else or her species with the enemy. In fact, she is now more valuable than ever against the Reapers as this is an enemy that the Quarians never engaged, whereas they've been at war with the Geth for 3 centuries now.
Padt wrote... Jack, on the other hand, is an Alliance soldier. So are her kids. They're not executives or advisors or generals or what have you, they're grunts. People who join and face other people in the battlefield. So they're fighting on the ground (whether it's in a support capacity or not doesn't really affect things; either way, it's still ground deployment) because that's what the Alliance wants them to do, and considering how powerful Jack is and the potential that some of her kids seem to exhibit, that is likely the place where they would be most effective (and it's also probably not a responsibility that any of them could wiggle out of, at least not without the risk of court martial).
Don't misunderstand, I agree that Jack's place is with her students. What I don't agree with is the fact that she has students to begin with. When you finish Mass Effect 2, Jack can either be in love with Shepard or not but in both cases, she remains a person that doesn't trust other easily. Even during the 2nd game, she doesn't like the Ascension Project (if I recall correctly, she says so during the Overlord DLC or when she explains about Pragia). So when the Alliance comes with a position as a teacher for the Grimson Academy, I fail to see how she would have accepted the offer. For example, if she was romanced, she would most likely be angry at the Alliance for locking up Shepard, one of the very few people she loves. If, on the other hand, she was not romanced, Shepard never truly achieved to make her trust other more as the only scene where she actually opens up is when she goes to Shepard's cabin and that is only in a romance. Also, if we take a Renegade Shepard who says ordered her to shoot Aresh and had Renegade sex with her, she closes herself up even more. In that very case, she would have never accepted to take care of some brat, even more since it means having to trust others and tone down her attitude. Remember that Jack is a person who doesn't like to be tied down. Another key aspect is that Jack agreed to join Shepard to gain files on Cerberus. If Shepard was out of the picture, she would most likely go on a Cerberus hunt instead of settling down and play the teacher.
Finally, there is a problem with the Alliance itself, even if Jack is one of the most powerful biotic ever, she is still a criminal so dangerous that the Blue Suns were getting paid by multiple parties to keep her in cryostasis. Not only that but she was able to destroy a handful on YMIR Mechs in a seconds. She was a pirate, ran in multiple gangs and even destroy a Hanar Moon. No matter how you spin it, her behaviour was too reckless and impulsive to be a teacher, even more so for teenagers with biotics. There is no way anyone in the Alliance in his right mind would cast her as a teacher. Perhaps some people like a Paragon Shepard who romanced her, Hackett, Anderson and anyone else that trust Shepard more than the Alliance would, but it was a time where those in charges grounded Shepard when they should have been preparing for the war to come. The way I see it, the probability of Jack being asked by the Alliance to become a teacher is nonexistant.

just a few very spontanious thoughts...
in me2 jack knew that cerberus(at least some of them) wanted to invade grissom academy to have more experiments and find new subjects for it. Maybe Jack wanted to look if they made it true. But as she was there and saw the students make mistakes who would have killed jack numerous time if she had made them in her past, she yelled at them and showed/told them how it would work in "the real world"... sanders watched a while and talked with anderson about the woman cause she was with shepard short time ago... he told her that Jack was a loyal part of the team against the collectors and sanders (feminine instincts of "seeing" that Jack is a good girl at heart) offered her to train these students and prepare them for war and "the real deal"... and so on and so on...
as i said, just a few thoughts....and the writers could do much better in my opinion ;-)

I have to replay ME2 but I can't seem to remember that part. I do remember that Aresh wanted to restart Pragia but he wasn't with Cerberus.

Iirc, it was one of the audio logs at pragia, where they (cerberus) spoke about shutting pragia down and start
to infiltrate grissom (the ascension program)...
After that i think (with this part, i´m really not so sure) Jack is really upset and afraid (in a Jack way)... Shepard calms her down by saying that grissom is an alliance faculty and that there no child/student will be harmed/tortured...

Actually I remember now. But keep in mind that Pragia was shut down quite a few years back and the fact that Shepard told her it was an Alliance Faculty would most likely make her think it's ok. Your argument that Cerberus wanted to infiltrate the Ascension program doesn't seem to hold, too much time passed by between the audio log and Jack being offered her place.

By the way, I actually tried to do this earlier tonight, and...it definitely didn't work. Jack very much dumped my ass in Purgatory. Okay, I just found something out.
Turns out, Jack's romance really IS a "no-strings" thing. Ash was my LI in 1. Jack in 2. I got back with Ash, THEN went to talk to Jack at Purgatory. Same scene: Told her I still wanted her, I make the best mistakes. Then I got the Ash love scene before the Cerberus HQ mission. Then on Earth... Jack still wants to get laid.
(Also, how the hell did she know? It was Liara who told her, right?)
What!? So there's a scene for that!? Please i want to see it! I tried again and nothing happens for me. Maybe people with Ash dont get it for some reason. CAn someone post video or dialog??

ALthough we got stiffed with the 'romance' at Purgatory, I had to laugh when Jack mentioned Shepard's bad dancing. That was priceless.
I took Garrus with the first time I played Grissom, and I'm sure I got the "face looks like ****" speech. And she was his LI in ME2. The second time I took EDI and Vega, and I don't think I got the "sexbot" one. I'm replaying him again, and will play Grissom with all permutations or squaddies to make sure. I love that punch-kiss that much, so it's not really a chore.
Keep me posted. It killing me I can't get any of that dialog.
I've replayed the first bit of the Grissom Academy mission with all permutations of Liara/EDI/Garrus/Vega (I don't have the CE). It seems I was mistaken. If Jack's your LI you don't get the personalised comebacks at your squad members when you first meet her at Grissom, or the talk about the swear jar when on the shuttle afterwards either.
Just thought I'd lay that one to rest.
Yeah that just doesn't make since to me. It sucks I can't get it.
