The only reason I haven't played my Jack Shep more than once is because there's so little Jack content in the game.

(I didn't actually set out to name my Shepards with names that start with J. That's just sort of how it shook out)
ME3's a pretty fabulous game, I think. Very probably my favorite in the series. ME2's story has a clearer and more interesting (or at least less generic) thematic tack and a more colorful and diverse cast, but ME3's a much more refined, well-executed and content-rich experience. And there are, of course, the traditionally appreciable technical upticks (better graphics, smoother gameplay, etc.). The endings are problematic, and it's a shame that the ME2 cast didn't get more time in the spotlight, but by and large, it's a pretty solid game, in my opinion.

The only exception is my first FemShep who got with Kaidan (pretty much by default, he's a man, she's a woman). I find Kaidan so annoying, I decided to ditch him after the Horizon mess, and got with Jacob. Jacob then cheats on her in ME3 (turnabout is fair play, I guess... still pretty crappy though). Kaidan is so annoying, I send him away when he tries to come back after the Cerberus Coup, lol. So unlucky-in-love FemShep decides to explore her bi-curiousness and shacks up with Traynor (also because if you send Kaidan away, there's no XY option for FemShep in ME3).

Jason, the Shepard that has only ever stuck with Jack, is probably the closest thing I have to a "canon" Shepard. He's got the Colonist/Sole Survivor background, he's a Sentinel (I've always, always loved the idea of Jack being with a Sentinel Shepard; I think it's just something that makes sense, thematically), Jack is pretty much the only person for him, and he has an almost preternatural inclination towards saving lives and helping other people. He's a good dude.

And of course I would want to explore all the different romances..
I wait for the DLCs, I feel like everyone is just meh besides Liara.
I love this game, otherwise I wouldn't play the MP like crazy.... I just want more Jack for my next playthrough. The only thing I'm waiting for is Max Payne 3, bullet time yeah

I hope they give her (and LIs in general) a better part in the EC, at least we'll have a true ending to her story with Shepard.
(Also, a DLC that make you able to bring your ME2 LI on the Normandy after you meet her/him would be freakin awesome but I can see how that wouldn't make sense financially for BioWare and EA... too much resources involved.)

I think ME3 is a great generic game, but a shoddy story and therefore a poor Mass Effect game. They aren't even trying to disguise the mindless shooty bits in a decent story anymore. I just feel like we accomplished so much less in this game compared to the other two.
And let's face it, ME2 characters like Jack were pretty much an afterthought in ME3's development. Some (i.e. Mordin, Legion, maybe Thane) were given a big role, but ultimately it feels like they didn't matter to the story. There should have been big benefits/added content for having them alive, and serious consequences for losing any of them.

I agree with the Bromanov on this. ME3 has turned me off, not just to ME or Bioware games, but to video games as a whole. I've played through ME3 once, with my canon Fain Shepard (Jackmancer, of course!), and now I cannot bear to even look at the cd case again.

First
Second
I remember seeing both of these in the leaked script a few months back, as well. In case you didn't watch the videos: in the second one, Jack generally appears to be slightly more bitter and aloof towards Shepard. In the first video, she greets him with a warm, "Hey soldier, buy a girl a drink?", while in the second she gives a more passive-aggressive "Wasn't sure you'd make time". The first video also has her delivering the playful line about peeling her out of an Alliance uniform when Shepard states that military life suits her, while in the second she gives a more dismissive line about never wanting to join the Alliance (this is also the line if you get if you didn't romance her, I believe). Finally, the dialogue that leads to rekindling the romance is also different. The first video has Jack offering to break up amicably, if Shepard so wants it, while in the second, she expresses anger about the fact that Shepard has left her before. From what I recall from the leaked script, her response is also different if you do indeed choose to break up (again, she seems more noticeably bitter about it in the conversation path from the second video).
What I can't figure out is what causes the difference. Does anyone know? Near as I can tell from my multiple playthroughs, it isn't anything that happens in ME3, which leads me to think it must be something from ME2, but I have no clue about what it could be. I have a hunch that the second version of the conversation might only happen if you choose not to do Arrival, but I've no real proof of that at the moment.
So, yeah. Anyone have a clue?

Doing my best, DPR. The ME3 depression has slowed me down a bit, but I'm getting back on the horse and returning soon with a big, exciting, character filled chapter. What's more, there's plenty of Jack goodness in this next mission.
For those of you dying to know what's in store, two words: Biotic Airdrop.
Let's just say that our favourite little lady makes Wrex look like a total P***y.

The choices in ME2 that led to my Shep:
Freely gave her the Cerberus files.
When she suggests going pirate, I ask if she'd be my first mate.
When propositioned, I say i want to get to know her.
Paragon persuasion to spare Aresh.
Asked her how many Batarians died when she lost Murtock.
Said i was tired of the wall she put up, then told her I was technically undead (Ha!) then said I wasn't scared by the big tower of S**t she put up, then when asked why i put up with it said it was a small ship (Ha! Again).
Then, when she came up to the cabin, I said that she was the one who walked away (always do that for the pure gold of when she says 'I'm trying.') Then the fade-to-black happened.
aside from that, he's a Paragon Shepard who did everything, including getting all squad 'Talk To' nodes on every hub world, and all DLC.

Hmm, could the difference in the Purgatory scenes be a ME1 romance? Or perhaps it's timed, and if you wait around, she gets impatient?
I don't think it's a ME1 romance, as I've romanced her in ME3 having romanced Ash in ME1. The timed thing is a possibility, though...
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I've seen versions of this before, with Ashley and Kaidan, and I was hoping one with Jack would turn up at some point. It's absolutely lovely. Thanks so much for posting it.Neeh wrote...

Here's something. A few days back, while trawling through YouTube for Jack videos, I stumbled upon two slightly different versions of the conversation at Purgatory that a Shepard who romanced Jack can have with her:
First
Second

I got the second conversation. Maybe it's because I edited a ME1 romance out of a ME2 save that I imported to ME3? Though, ME2 recognizes that I had no ME1 LI. So, I don't know. I hadn't even seen that dialogue before. She does seem warmer in the first conversation, and it makes me smile

I see. Yeah then I'm leaning towards timing. She sends you an email after the Cerberus coup attempt, if I recall correctly. She's there right after the mission though, so if you wander around the Citadel before going back to the Normandy, like I do, you can run into her in Purgatory before even reading the email.
I get the first "buy a girl a drink" video, never seen the second before today.
